Extremely slow charging after updating to Android 5. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I'm facing this weird problem after updating to lollipop. I charged for two and half hours and still only 20 % up in battery percent. It was my fifth day after flashing lollopop ,and till now i faced this slow charging problems two times, but when i faced it first i switched off my mobile and charger and it worked, but this time it's slow even if i switch off and charge. Help

Mine says it's going to take a long time to charge to 100% but it charges sooner than the estimated time.

Try different charger? Let battery die then charge it with phone off! I had this issue with cm a few times cleared cache and worked fine for a while then suddenly did it again!

[Q] Lollipop - Charging Issue

Hey everyone,
My Nexus 5 running lollipop is having a charging problem. I noticed the other day that when I left my phone to charge overnight, when I checked on it in the morning it had barely charged and the phone was saying it was going to take 9 hours to charge fully from ~30%. However, after I restarted my phone and tried charging the problem was gone. The expected charging time dropped down to a more normal 1-2 hours, and after a few minutes I noticed the percentage to start increasing.
This problem has reocurred more than once, each time requiring a restart to fix it.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues? I have been posting on the /r/nexus5 subreddit and I've noticed that a couple people having been having the same problem.
Same issue here
Same thing for me. I plugged my phone in over night to charge and when I woke up this morning only 50% charged, with 13 hours to full charge. I tried to restart but nothing has changed. I hope they fix this soon.

[Q] Z3 Bizarre slow charging via magnetic connector?

Hey guys first time posting here.
I've had my Z3 for almost 3 months now and have recently noticed some strange things going on with its charging.
Ive been using a third party magnetic charging cable for entire time I've had my phone and they work really well, they charge at a good speed. However, recently the charging time has slowed down dramatically. For example, last night my phone was at 31%, i charged it for 5 and a half hours and it only reached 36%. I checked the battery info tab and it says AC, also the graph showing the battery level shows that the charging is very slow, it says it was charging for the full 5 and 1/2 hours.
-also, no apps were running and the main power user was the screen (as always) which was off.
I don't know what's wrong, I did a battery partition reset a week ago since i was having problems where the phone won't charge past 80% and the reset fixed the 80% problem, but now this is happening.
The charging cable i use is not broken since it works in different power outlets throughout my house and charges the phone normally.
I don't use ROMs and it has the stock factory operating system.
Anyone else have this problem?

[Q] battery is draining on its own how do I fix this?

I have a new tablet from HP. I had it for two weeks now. The first couple weeks when I charge it, it would stay at 100% for a few hours before going to 99%.
The past couple days it would go down faster to like an hour or thirty minutes today before hitting 99%. I would charge it overnight whenever I was done with it. I didn't think this was a bad thing since I read that it wouldn't mess it up or overcharge since it said it stopped charging after it was full.
This evenimg I noticed my battery percent draining quicker than usual. A few hours ago I notices it went from 86% to 80% when I was out. I tried turning it off for 10 minutes and notice it would go down one percent when not using it. I been using the same charger and have been charging it for the same amount of time every night so I don't know what I have done wrong or what I can to fix it.

Maybe because there are many background process running.
Many apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, even Antivirus occupy quite amount of RAM.
Try killing them all, and see if the same happens.

Battery/Phone Shutting Down

Recently had to replace battery.
Phone was shutting almost immediately after it was disconnected from charger. Charging status when not switched on showed the battery kinda going in reverse. Phone was really odd as it would suggest the battery had 100% charge and then within minutes of disconnecting it was shutting down.
I tried a factory reset/refresh with no change. So I ordered a Genuine replacement battery off flea bay and installed that last Thursday.
Initially phone seemed ok, then wen a bit weird and shut down even though charge was like at 70% or so. Wouldn't restart until plugged in and then in shutdown mode the battery/charging indicator would show 0% and then very quickly showed 70%. Good bit though was it was going up and not down like before.
Fully charged phone overnight. It then seemed really good and lasted until Tuesday with 66% charge still showing. I had not installed FB or Twitter which made a huge difference. Then yesterday it just shutdown again. When plugged in showed 0%, within minutes back to 70% and then charged to 100% in the space of an hour or so.
So I am looking for any advice. Is this just calibration issues that the phone needs to get past. Is it possible the phone has corruption int he ROM.
I appreciate it might be a hardware fault but seems weird that the replacement battery is clearly showing a big improvement suggesting battery was EOL after 2 years use.
TIA

Same problem here i will try to install the oficial rom of xt890 if works i back here if not i don't know what to do
Sooo............issue is still present. Odd thing which I am unable to confirm, due to rnadomness of shutdowns, it that I think it is slowly learning the state of the battery as it originally was shutting down at 70% after 2-3 days on standby. then 66% hen 56%. I did a clear cache partition and a fresh install but still the issue was present.
Clearly the new battery is lasting longer than the old one, just the phone does not seem to know to reduce the charge indicator all the way to 0%.
Anyone any idea why this might be happening.
TIA
G
Just to add i'm having the same problem.
Symptoms started last week running the stock kitkat rom so i ordered and a fitted a new battery. Initially everything looked good phone said 100% left it over night and noticed it had shut off when i came back to it. Plugged it in to the charger and it said 0% so i charged back to 100%, booted up android and almost immediately it begins discharging rapidly, i would say within 15 minutes its back down to 0%.. I've done this a few times now even left it on charge overnight for 8 hours but its still discharging rapidly everytime. The craziest thing is even if it says 0% in android i can still boot in to recovery and flash away so clearly there is charge in the battery its just android thats out of sync.
What i've tried so far:
Different wall chargers/USB leads/Outlets
Wiped everything in TWRP and flashed CM11
Factory Reset several times
Various battery calibration apps
My next step is going to be trying RSD to flash the stock ROM but beyond that i dont know what to do.
I'm experiencing EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE with my Razr i, replaced the battery and it's still discharging very fast
Eventually managed to resolve my new battery issue simply by fully charging and discharging several times. It started to hold charge after the 7th charge and after several more discharges it's now up to full capacity.

[Q] Battery not charging

Hi guys
Since two days I'm having a weird battery issue.
My note is not charging beyond 60% although the battery is charging properly till that with a standard charger. But as soon as I switch to fast charging and restart my device, it shows 0% charging while switched off. Then when I restart my device it shows 0% but starts to charge really really quick till 50% in just 5 minutes or so. But still never charges beyond 60%.
Can anyone please tell me what could be the issue. I've tried wiping everything and switched rom but nothing's helping.
Is it battery problem or charging port problem?
Please help.
I'm having the same problem with my phone, just started the other day.
