Have a s3 i9305 lte international that it's rooted with android 4.3. I have installed a camera block app and now every single minute a text banner appears telling me that the securicypolicy wants access to the camera. How do I get rid of this very annoying popup? The camera block app tells me that 42 apps has access to the camera and it blocks them all until I decide to grant permission via the camera block app to for example when I want to take a pic with the camera. So how do I stop the annoying securycipolicy access text field from appearing every minute? Have search for answers on Google but haven't found any solution yet.

Hey all,
One of my friend knows this technique of sending a message type of notification. The message comes, displayed on my home screen . It doesn't say who it came from or anything. My friend is not telling me how he's doing this. I don't know if its an app or what. I will post a pic (a screenshot i took) of how it exactly looks. It works with iPhone and even android, He's using a iPhone though .
he is changing the message to priority 0 which makes pop up no matter what and you have to dismiss them, the apps that do this arent easy to come by especially since most providers block it. Google playstore use to have one but they removed it
You are referring to Flash SMS or Class 0 messages as stricker49 pointed out. One app that does this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jomegasoft.flashsmsnoad2&hl=en
Having hunted for a thread about this and coming up empty handed, I've decided to ask it myself. Recently (within the past three months I would say) Google updated the Play Store to give you these popups on the bottom of the screen for whenever an app is auto-updated inviting you to back the app up. These popups take up about a third of the screen on my new Note 5; it was far worse on my old galaxy nexus. Furthermore, the popup will close the keyboard and change the focus of the screen, meaning that in order to get back to composing a message you must do three things: wait for this unnecessary notification to go away, then tap the screen so the focus goes back to the app you were using, and tap again inside your text box. If the app you were using is particularly sloppy, this loss of focus might actually also clear the text field.
Even if you're not doing anything important however, a sudden popup that takes up a third of the screen is enough to send you to the loony bin if you react the way you would like to and you're in a public place. Now, there is no setting available in the play store related to this. The popups contain a check box that allows you to specify "never show again," but short of waiting until I intercepted each and every last one of them for each and every last auto updated app, there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of these horrible things. I could possibly disable all notifications from the play store through the apps menu in the settings, but that would be counter productive. Has anyone managed to get rid of this awful feature? And is there anyone that we can hang for coming up with that idea in the first place? After all, one of the best things about notifications on Android (at least previously) is that they specifically DON'T interrupt you; they're up there in the notification panel where they belong!

You did not mention about the exact device model.
However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.
Good luck.
Bit of an odd request I'm sure, but I need to block any updates or notifications of a certain chat without leaving it altogether. This includes the number that appears on the whatsapp icon as well as the chat in my chat logs.
My situation is this: my boss is forcing me to be a part of a regional "shoutout" group where we post our sales. This is on my personal phone using my own phone number. Work will not supply me with one. The group gets 10+ messages an hour, so when I look at my phone I'm always checking it in case it's a friend messaging me. If I leave the group, my boss will give me hassle & often if I leave, I get re-added by our regional manager without being asked.
I understand my problem is work are being *insert expletive here*, but hiding the chat solves my problem as I will never actually need to read or post to it. Archiving only hides old messages & new ones still make it show up.
Anyone got an app mod or even an xposed module that will help? My phone's a stock S7 Edge but I'd even root it just to get around my problem...
Thanks in advance
Just hold down the chat you don't want to see, then click on the speaker icon at top of screen, click on mute for 1 year (that's the maximum mute time), make sure you uncheck the show notifications box. That should sort it for you.

OK i use the S8+ and i HAD a huge problem with whatsapp notifications and the always pop up display. I like having the pop up appearing each time i receive
a whatsapp message, instead of that small blue pop box at top of screen. I tried everything to rectify the problem and even emailed whatsapp to sort it out.
As usual i just got a generic reply. All of the settings in the app and phone were all set properly and i was angry.
Besides whatsapp , i was also NOT getting proper text message notifcations, but the same old blue small banner at top of the screen.
What i did next astounded me. I DELETED whatsapp from my phone..................i reinstalled it straight away BUT..............................
Whilst i was installing it again, there are some TICK boxes to complete. The first was the usual stuff like allow all things like contacts, location, numbers etc etc......................the next box it asked if i wanted something to do with SMS settings etc (i forgot now)................i DECLINED this one or ticked NO.
Now.....everytime i use whatsapp i get the proper pop up screen......even in the locked screen, and i receive proper text messages as well. No more small blue banner at top of screen. So i guess if you accept the second box on installation you get the small banner preview box and it therefore conflicts against whatsapp..........and if you declne......you get a proper whatsapp and a proper text message.
Hope this clears everything up

That blue pop-up is most likely being caused by Edge Lighting being on.
Have you ever notice with Second verification on a website being logged on to does a text message to the phone with a 6 digit number. Well, with my bad eyes it takes a few seconds to read the small blue verification 6 digit number the site sent me. Boom, the message disappears from the lock screen and I'm not sure what it was. We need an APP or setting to flash that allows setting the amount of time that Notification stays on the lock screen or any screen.
As A second question, currently the phone does not beep when receiving a message while the main screen is lit or in a APP, but it does when locked or in the messaging APP. Need a fix for that too.
Third, Does anyone know if the Modem software has been updated past 4 for this phone. LTE has evolved and the actual form of LTE back when first being installed Nation wide is not the same LTE we have today just because of switching to using timer. Is it possible the Modem from 2017 no matter what software you use will not function too good with the current LTE Advanced the providers are using.?
