Hi guys,
Can someone please tell me how to turn off haptic feedback when typing on Nexus 5 with Android 5.
I have looked everywhere but can't find the setting.
Thanks.
Avi
Try looking in Sounds & Notifications then other sounds. You can turn off vibrate on touch in there. Or look in languages under google keyboard then preferences

In addition to this, go to sounds and notification look it up if you can see a vibration option
If you have a custom Rom or a custom kernel that has a vibration strength feature this can help by fully minimizing it to 0%
Look also on Languages and check your English Keyboard(US) or whatever keyboard you are using and turn off the vibrations option there
hope this helped

I'm trying to find how on the Thunderbolt you disable the vibration on the lock screen--in particular, the vibration feedback when using the unlock pattern.
I know there's a haptic feedback option in Security settings on other phones, but don't see that option on the Thunderbolt under Security.

Try downloading spare parts and disabling haptic feedback there.
It's already disabled in Spare Parts. I'm running the the Perfect Storm 1.1 ROM if that makes a difference.

Don't know why the keyboard feedback controls the lockscreen BUT The way I disabled mine was Settings/Language & Keyboard/Text Input/ uncheck vibrate when typing

As we all know cyanogenmod 7 has lots of cool tweaking and mod features based in.. but there's also some stuff you mau not of knew about..
I will continue to post new tricks I find and be sure to post some you know too
Tricks&Tips:
*Swipe Notifications: Don't you hate clearing all notifications well now you can clear the ones you don't want by simply holding down and sliding to the left or right
*Screenshot: In the power menu(hold down power button) there is a screenshot button to take screenies and save them to your sd
*Sound Profiles: You can create different sound profiles in the setting so say when your home you like your sound on with vibrate on and at work you like silent with vibrate for calls only. You can acomplish this with the sound profiles. A quick way to change profiles is from your Power Menu>Choose Profile. This makes it easier to change your sound settings

There is s setting that allows you to slide your finger across the notification bar and adjust the brightness of the screen.

I think I understand but still not 100%.
I thought it was a touchwiz thing. But it never worked for me properly. Even with auto turned off.
Another option that does away with a app is adb over wifi.
Settings>Applications>Development>ADB over Network.
I dont remember the port you have to use. This was a nice option on my optimus.
Hello,
My N5 vibrates through each notification when I drag my thumb down the few notifications when the notification tray is already pulled down. Is it possible to turn off the vibration? I don't have "Vibrate on touch" on (Settings>Sound) and even my keyboard has haptic feedback switched off.
Thanks
That's a feature from 4.3, no way of stopping unfortunately. Not without rooting and delving into the apks anyway.

I think I saw you in the Franco thread. If you're still using his kernel change the vibration in the kernel settings to 0

New to nexus 5... searched and found light flow and light manager. Neither work for charging. Perhaps I set it up wrong?
Also, sorry if this has been asked... search function on the app sucks
Light flow has option...just need to enable it. Also check the settings , there are some settings for while charging.

Hmm... I wonder if something in gravity box is conflicting... I have those sittings set, still nothing
Light Manager works on my Nexus 5 with the following setup:
1. Turn off daydream
2. Light Manager Advanced settings > Static LED > Option 2

Light manager is working using your settings, thanks.
Quick question. If I disable the unlock cancels notification setting, what does cancel it? Clearing the notification and unplugging charger?

I noticed led only comes on when screen is off.
If u enable that setting, led notification will stop once u unlock the screen.
If u disable the setting, led notification will go on until u read the message, checked the missed call, etc.
Cyanogen Mod 11 Milestone 4 might be the way to go

If you are willing to unlock your phone and load a ROM, CM11 M4 has that feature built in. This is a really stable build and has Google Dialer working.
Here is a review of some of the features
If you are feeling really adventureous you can try the nightly builds http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584004
