And Screenshot Please : Notification Panel  Because It Will Help-full For " Still Now , Who Are All In NI1 , NC1 Or NB1 " ...

1st let me say I had problems installing the OTA as I was still rooted and THOUGHT I was not as the last OTA installed after what I thought was un-rooting. So via Oden and an all in one flash I went back to NB1 this was a problem as well. Seems the USB cable I had grabbed off the desk was NOT the Samsung USB cable. It was a USB cable for a E-Cig I have and because it was white I thought it was the Samsung USB cable. So Oden failed, Kies failed and then I realized the cable problem and while the S4 was sitting waiting for the data I shut it off, found the Samsung cable, powered back on to the download/flash mode, connected the cable and Oden flashed the file. Whew, S4 now back in service I took the OTA to NJ4.
Battery life is good, I think, as it was on all day and I still had 60-70% battery life. About normal before all the goofing around.
Now - Problems
It seems to lag a bit using Apex Launcher when swiping from screen to screen.
Overall it seems to lag as well. All the Samsung bloat that I can live without has been frozen as well as all the AT&T bloat that I could freeze.
The Touch Lights are toggled to be always ON at one point they wouldn't light up even when touched. Rebooted S4 and they seem OK for the past 24 hrs.
My calendar notifications from Google Calendar apk (Blue Icon) seemed to clear on their own - watching this as I'm not sure I didn't clear them from the Tab S running same apk. Samsung calendar is Frozen, stock google calendar apk (Greeen Icon) has notifications turned off.
So....I'm thinking maybe I need to flash again with all the idiot mistakes I made getting it to NJ1

Battery life for me is the same. Didn't really make a difference with that. The systen seems snappier now though. Loads quicker and menus open faster.
The only problems I am having since the update are kinda annoying. When trying to organize appa into foldera, Touchwhiz crashes on me. Then I have to redo all the previous app moves before I was able to hit save. If I hit save then esit again it seems fine. Only seema to happen when I move more than 2 apps to a folder before hitting save.
Another thing is my phone constantly now says I havr no sim card and neess to restart. Never had this previois to the update but I do see this is a common problem on the S4.
I am going to reflash NJ4 and see if it happens still.

Battery life is same. my problem is not able to run xposed modules. as soon as i enable a xposed module, phone get stuck on reboot at at&t logo screen. anyone using xposed framework successfully with NJ1 build?

try "Protected Apps" module and let me know if you can reboot after installation/enabling of this module. this and Wanam Xposed are the ones that I can't use. phone refuses to go beyond at&t splash screen on boot.

Xposed Module for S5?

I am wondering if there is a xposed module that works with our sprint s5? Mainly looking for the skip tracks with volume button mod?

Having problems with Xposed Framework, once installed, I'll start with two modules Gravtity box and Greenify donated version. I also installed busy box as per some videos suggest. I notice my clock widgets whether it be Beautiful or HD widgets starts to lag with the time, and I get spotty WIFI connection, with a message saying that the connection is being check for quality, or something to the effects, after rebooting a couple of times and turning the WIFI on and off 3 times, it finally connects and run like new. Is there some type of adjustment I missing or do I need to installed a deodexed rom that have some typ of slight mod done to the rom. I running stock rooted G900PVPU1AND2 and stock kernel.

Do you have the dynamic voltage scaling option checked?

Try upgrading to Xposed Installer 2.6 (just came out yesterday!). Also FYI only GravityBox v3.1.0 works for our Sprint GS5.
xprivacy seems to be working. Tested with a couple different apps to see if they could see contacts\location and everything came up blank. I have also seen the "not connected to internet" errors from apps if not set up correctly.
Does s health work without doing this now?

Solution:
Install any file editor, here used the Build Prop Tweaker Pro, look for the line: ro.securestorage.support = and change "True" to "False"
Restart the phone, Xposed and S Health 100% functional module.

mm-qcamera-daemon on 4.4.4

I had this on 4.4.2 but 4.4.3 fixed it. I'm on 4.4.4 now and have been since it came out, but all of a sudden last week, mm-qcamera-daemon came back and I'm not alone.
With L just around the corner, I doubt there will be any fix for this from Google, so what's the best way of finding out which app is keeping this service alive?
P.S. I have neither Skype, Instagram, nor Snapchat installed - and never have done - so it's not them.
Did you have a camera app running in the background? ie. minimized it without swiping it away.
Nah, nothing like that. I'll even get it when I boot my phone, open no apps at all, and charge to 100% before unplugging from the charger - this action seems to be the cause of the daemon, like some of the other users on that issue report are saying. Never mind, I guess I'll just wait it out until L.
I have never had this problem on my nexus 5 until today (I bought the Nexus 5 on day one)!
This process is draining all my battery!!
The only app I installed in the past week is "Google Opinion Rewards" which was installed 6 hours ago.
Please help if you find a solution
UPDATE 1: I just noticed, via CPU-Z, that all 4 cores are continuously active at high frequency and the phone is overheating
UPDATE 2: Problem is still there even after removing "Google Opinion Rewards"
Just reflash the stock firmware and see if it continues.
Best thing to do with any issue that a solution can't be found for easily. ?

the camera daemon is supposed to appear. its not supposed to stay around, draining battery. especially at 100%, you will see it, as the phone uses it a little bit, and you havent used the phone at all. it will show up. the question is, if you dont use the camera at all, and it appears in your battery stats, after a full cycle of use, how much battery does it take? chances are that by the end of your battery cycle, it wont even be in your battery stats.

I actually fixed it now by flashing the system image and restoring all my apps via Titanium Backup, but I swear I'd never even open Camera for it to occur, and I don't have any third party camera apps. It would constantly be active without opening any camera apps at all.
edit- also Google have restated that they're looking into this bug and have marked it urgent, so anyone else getting it - don't panic too much, it's most likely not a problem you've caused.
I suspect the Hangouts/Hangouts dialer. I updated the app few days ago (no other installs), today was the first time that I got this issue (got my Nexus in February). Also first time since updating I used the camera, followed by battery drain/ daemon/ "failed to connect camera" etc.
I think its because of android wear
With android wear u can access the camera, hence u will be seeing the camera drain for sure. i unpaired my watch for few days and i didnt have this problem till now
I had this problema today morning, my android version is 4.4.4, In my case I used yesterday the camera to attach a photo inside the facebook messenger, maybe this buggy app make this mess in my case.
I reboot and waiting for the results
Same here
Everything was ok from 4.4.2 till 4.4.4. But suddenly week ago discovered mm-qcamera-daemon issue, tried many things without success. I am using phone in safe mode (facepalm).
Waiting official Android L or fix from google.
I got the same issue now!
Started today, what the hell?
Some apps will keep the camera wakelocks going. Freeze anything that can possibly use the camera and see what happens.
Or just clean flash stock, and see if its OK. If so... Install a handful of apps per day.... Then if it goes nuts you know it's an app you've just installed.
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=70755#c171
I think i had this fixed. Ihave a rooted nexus 5 stock rom. Installed greenify, pirchased the donate version and had the camera app greenified. No more mm-qcamera-daemon showing up on my battery stats. No more "cannot connect to camera" issues. (So far it's been 2days without it.
camera block app
i see this issue occurs when i use skype or any camera related app in my grand 2 4.4.2 / only way i keep the issue at bay is use camera block app.. which i keep it turned on when i am not really using the camera.
this seem to keep this daemon under control and not drain my battery .

freezes and reboots (Note edge G)

Hi everyone, few days ago i got some problems with my phone.
When i am doing smth, for example chatting in whatsapp(it can be any app, even the menu) , the screen may freeze from 5 to 20 sec. After it, the device may become locked or not. Also, after it, device may reboot. Or just shutdown.
I already tried :
1 wipes (full via phone menu and recovery)
2 formatting flash via custom recovery
3 flashing 5.1 via odin
4 emergency restore via Smart Switch
But the problem is still here.
Is this a hardware problem, or should i try smth else?
Thanx for advice
I'm starting to wonder about hardware issues myself.
I'm getting the feeling that Samsung wound the processor too tight on these phones.
Once I get rooted again,I'm planning a proc' downclock to 2.3/2.4 Ghz.
I'm not totally sure, but if these proc's control the RAM directly, that might help with stabilty issues.
Just to confirm; you did a factory restore and also flashed the stock 5.1.1 for your model and region with Odin 3.10.7?
Sent from my SM-N915G using Tapatalk
yes, exactly. Not sure with odin version, but everything was fine.
Yesterday also tried River rom with Mickey Kernel. First few hours phone worked normally, but was a little bit slow (it is normal for this kernel). But then the problem returned, i got some (2 or 3 ) reboots and lots of freezes.
weird. I started gettig these issues a couple of weeks ago too. Did as you did, Odin, Smart Switch, TWRP. Nothing. On RiverRom it seems to be more stable than on the official Rom. Which is crazy. Searched through all the logs, only idea i got left is keeping in under android logcat on my computer until it crashes.
Also phone won't restart if I want to do that. Not from menu, not from TWRP. It will just not do it. It shuts down and no matter how much I press the power button.... nothing. Hve to take out the battery, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and it will start.
Any advices on what logs should be looking at would be much appreciated.

I just tried to restart my, it booted normally.
Maybe its overheating or smth like this? It will be difficult to demonstrate this problem in service centre
honestly i don't think it's overheating. For me the behavior is a bit weirder, as said, as the phone won't restart, unless removing the battery and waiting for a minute or two before plugging it back in. Every. Single. Time. Not even rebooting from recovery.
I use now riverrom with the emotion kernel (they launched this year a new version of the kernel) and it seems to be better. Weirdly enough, the system gets slower when i turn on GPS (although i have next to nothing appls installed), and the apps that say they stopped responding are the boring ones. System UI, Google Play, etc. Also downloading the kernel auditor from the guys at emotion and enabling logcat seems to help too.
An error i seem to get constantly now is google play services error.
Bluetooth also seems to be an issue, i also have a android watch and it gets kinda weird behavior.

[Help Required] Android System ( System_server) drain battery issue (5.1.1)

I know I am not the first one to post about this issue. I have searched, not only on xda, but some other websites. I just cannot find a solution. I am running 5.1.1 non rooted Stock ROM. I have tried everything. Enabled and Disabled a lot of settings. Nothing seems to work. 20% for that Android System is just too much. It started a week ago. Today I have Installed "Quick System Info PRO" and it shows that some "System_Server" is eating battery due to a high usage of RAM and Proccesor. See attachments please.
I am thinkg about updating my OPO, but I am not sure if this will help.
Did you find a solution? Do you know how to fix this? Please share your knowledge with me.
I used to plug and charge my OPO once every day and a half. But now I have to live with my charger inside my pockets because I am charging my phone every 10 hours.
There are any other apps? Also, try with android 6.0, might fix something.
Hi @srsdani.
Thank you for your reply. No. There are not any other apps eating battery. Mostly because I am at work, I use Whatsapp.
I should also mention that the phone gets super hot for no reason, like when you are playing a game after a long time. (Due to the intesive CPU usage).

I'm thinking is OS-related. But by doing some search you will find a lot of people with same issue. Even non-OPO users. I'm gonna give it a try anyway.! Thank you for your reply.

try better battery stats and correct firmware and recovery , if possible do everything in fastboot inc flashing
So, yeah, I got the most expected update, installed and worked great... Until some issues showed up, like lockscreen freeze, and now the "you can't see you WiFi power consumption" issue. I'm mad, I know WiFi was taking a huge piece of my battery ( tried some suggestions) but now a bug report appeared, and this is what I face today
Before it was like this
What should I do now? A clean install ?

Don t fast reboot
Shutdown your device and power on
Reboot enable system drain
Disable from security settings google administrator
Cyanogen device manager does the same
Also cyanogen statistic are not used any more to lollipop
Do not use greenify apps from version to version update has opposite results
If you want better battery use apps that will disable sensors and locationwhen device sleep

SM-G920F constantly slow and hot

Hi everyone, recently I had some troubles with my Galaxy S6 ...
The problem is that the phone gets really hot even when I'm not using it and when and the system in general in really really slow... So, I decided to install BetterBatteryStats in order to better understand if any Kernel Wakelock was causing the problem and YES !
There's a so called "flip wake lock" that is active almost anytime and when it does stop (it stops automatically sometimes) the phone comes back to life, fast and smooth.
So, I was wondering if any of you has ever heard of this wakelock... I , of course , already searched in Google but pretty much no one knows what this is about...
Also, I had to manually disable the softkeys because the were constantly fading in and out.
The touchscreen is fine because when I'm in recovery mode everything is smooth as butter and YES, I have already tried a wipe data, I changed rom, I did format all my data and went back to a stock rom, I changed Android Version but nothing seemed to work.
Thanks in advance for your help, have a lovely night.

I would advice a full wipe and re-flash Stock Firmware via Odin.
If a magnetic case is installed, remove it and see if the wakelock persists. If there are magnets around the phone, remove those and see if the wakelock persists. Also worth checking is the 'USSD' code hwmoduletest *#0*#, select hall. If the problem persists try to disable the hall sensor in the kernel.
