From the homescreen tap the Menu button, tap on "Settings", uncheck the box for "Show Search Bar".
Will other Kernels work with LiquidSmooth (Android 5.0)
For one, let me just say that this is the only ROM that has killed the lag in my OPO (tried Mahdi and other CM variants). Also pretty stable Android 5 for being so new.
Since this is an Android 5.0 ROM, do Kernels (like Franco's) work on it?

Noob here. When new nightlies come out, how do you go about upgrading from the previous version? Do you dirty flash (i.e not wipe data), clean flash (wipe the data), or does LiquidSmooth has its own upgrading system built in?
You are in the thread for LiquidSmooth 3.2 (KitKat) but you are talking about Lollipop ROM (there is an alpha LiquidSmooth Lollipop available).
AK kernel CM12 version works in both LS 3.2 and 4.0 (have only tried on 3.2 myself).
Yes, you can generally dirty flash nightlies, as long as they are in the same family (3.2 --> 3.2).
Expanded volume panel
I searched but couldn't locate this anywhere in settings. Is there an option that allows for volume panel to always show up expanded?

Cataclysm for lollipop 5.0?
After flashing the ROM, it can't read my SIM card and I have no navigation/status bar. It was a clean flash too and I've tried to flash it 3 times already...

I use an app called 'Ultimate Dynamic Navbar' - I set the navbar to 0% height and with UDN I can then swipe up to get the back/home/recent apps buttons. I've noticed that there is no 'close all' button under the recent apps screen when the Navbar is set to 0%. Is this tied in to the navbar, or will you allow it to be repositioned in future updates? If not - and please forgive me as I can't quite remember from your previous release - does your future planned navbar fade mod cover UDN's functions (minimises the icons to give more screen real estate and keeps them hidden in fullscreen apps)?
I've also noticed there is a Google search bar on the Recent Apps screen - any idea how or where I can get rid of it?
For future releases - would you also consider the following:
1. Auto-close quick toggles when you select an item (i.e. tap to turn on wi-fi and the menu closes)
2. Hide user button from status bar
3. Hide settings button from status bar
4. Customize lockscreen (remove camera/phone shortcuts, add custom widgets etc)

@atl4ntis: for the deep sleep problem, in the Italian thread in androidiani forum, we think that the problem come out with an alternative kernel. With linear or franco two users have the problem, but with stock kernel I don't have any problem with deep sleep.
Phone has stopped
After I flash 5.0 from 4.4.4 cataclysm, once I open up my "Phone" app and swipe to contact or recent tab, it will prompt out "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped". Anyone face this problem?

Nov 24 update
When my nexus had just finished installing the update, I got a pop up that said "system uis are inconsistent." Some app force close, and I can't save pictures either.

After installing the latest nov 24 rom I experienced something many users have experienced before. My sd card path changed to 0. How do I solve this problem? I can#t even restore anything because twrp searches in the wrong directory

There is still my internal storage with many folders which are all empty, and a subfolder named 0 in which my actual files are stored in...
all my apps search in the internal storage folder for their files and find nothing

Thank you for a great ROM. But there is one oddity in my status bar icon constantly have geolocation, geolocation even if turned off. How can it be removed? Very much off the screen by double clicking the home button. Sorry for my English.

I love this rom! Fast and stable. But I have two issues with it. One is minor and the other one is pretty major for me.
First one is odd, for unknown reason ringtone for incoming calls stops ringing. Phone vibrates and shows calling window but no ringing sound. I reboot the phone and its working fine for a bit then for no reason no sound for incoming calls again till I reboot. I miss a lot of calls bit annoying and my wife started asking questions :/
The other thing I can't set my profile picture for my user account. I go to my account choose photo from Gallery, but photo doesn't appear on my user account

Found temporary solution for screen pinning bug
The screen can be unpinned without restarting the phone...When screen is pinned just switch to guest user and then back to the main user...then press the home key and it goes back to the homescreen.

Guys to fix data issue just flash mosh kernel from this thread, this rom have good battery life, if we use whatsapp/viber over pc we can save a lot of battery as small example, any IF everything went as planned I will release a fully worked slim lollipop sunday

Question regarding kernel settings
How do i change settings like increase the volume on headset, speaker, etc or speedup charging from usb from default to 1000mah, etc? do you have any apps to take care of this or not.. will i be able to use synapse to make these changes.?

Compass still not working with the version 5 September.
I don't know why "xender" app crashed every time when I tried to choose a file for sending.

I have seen it mentioned before, but had no luck after I uninstalled the system calendar and reinstalled Google's Calendar from the play store.

Perfectly smooth, but began to become complicated, and an imperfect call, expect update
I just flashed the latest build, but I'm experiencing a problem: the menu long press button assignment doesn't work. I set it to long press for recent apps and it worked for a little bit, but then i restarted the phone and it defaults to in-app search. But it still says its set to recent apps switcher. Now it won't work at all and only does in-app search when it's set to recents.
When I remap other button options, they work fine. It's just the menu button option that isn't working. Long press or short press.
Does anyone know how to get past the TrustZone updater error when attempt to flash this (or any ROM) ROM? I updated my firmware/modem to the newest not realizing I would run into flashing issues. Thanks!
I have a few firmware files and flashed them all before the rom because I wasn't sure if new updates include the old ones or not haha. I have a oxygen os firmware update, the one in the original post, and one from Sept. Hope this helps

I flashed sultans rom to see if it helped with my menu button problems and it did until I restored Bluetooth pairings from an older nandroid backup. After restoring the menu button wouldn't work right in that rom either. So I restored my newest Bluetooth pairings and it works again. I'm guessing that was my problem with this rom too in case anyone else has this problem
