ok so im completely new to rooting and unofficial roms and im just confused on what should i do first??
as far as i know i should first root my phone millions of ways to do so so confused
then install CWM which again i found millions of ways to download and im just so confused on what to choose
then after i have CWM i should now copy the rom i downloaded and flash it
of course it depends on the rom and i should always backup i know but its just that what should i do first some people say that CWM already root the phone and some people say that i can root the phone by just copying a update.zip into my phone sd card and from recovery mood i can easily just use it and it will be rooted
PLEASE TELL ME STEP BY STEP WHAT SHOULD I DO AND HOW CAN I BE READY FOR A CUSTOM ROM
i want to have a better performance at games and overall i want the phone to be smoother is there like a rom that is made for gaming with accelerated graphics or something ?
please i want a step by step from someone who have done this cause i just dont want to be so stupid do something wrong and blame it on others and im sorry i sound so stupid ^_^

First of all, you need to specify your exact device and model.

guys im really afraid of bricking my handphone. and when i read the guide its alittle confusing. i'm still a fresh men for window mobile. was a symbian fan.migrating to higher OS.

It would be really helpful if you could give us some other information about your phone, other than the generic " help me Flash "
Because here is the generic instructions:
Turn the phone on
Back up all your data.
Unlock and flash hardspl
Download and flash the rom of your choice
Hard Reset
Flash a compatible radio
And you are good to go

Simply put, it is firmware that controls the sound and camera on your phone.
It is not really a radio receiver.

Hiiii everyone the thing is i own a galaxy ace not fit but my friend own a fit so I can't root his phone you know if something went wrong. He has problem with font he want to read Facebook.status and newspaper in Punjabi(my language). So guys my question is how to install font on stock rom without root.......plzzz help quickly.

As for now, i dont think samsung has released these fonts officially yet, and thus i don't think it is possible to install it without root.
as far as i know, rooting is harmless until you try editing all those configs inside the root folder.
so my suggestion is root your phone and then follow this tutorial.

I guess we can install flip fonts on stock without Rooting
on Punjabi fonts.. I am not quite sure if it is actually there..

Thanx but it is my friends phone so I don't wanna root his phone(you know risk) the thing is I m a rom maker but little noob in stock things so help. I installed a custom rom after 2 days of buying my phone. So no experience on stock.plzzz help

( xperia neo V ) running on ics 4.0. as i read about it . i learned that is smooth running and lag free and i like the interface so much. kindly please help me to do this . i want to change how my phone performs cause i get too annoyed everytime it is laggy and slow. please help me. i want this rom. teach me how to do this because im a newbie and a average phone user. please.

Just follow the instructions in the second link and then get back to the rom flashing. You'll have to judge for yourself (I wouldn't know).

Dude,nother noobie question . sorry dude. but im confused if i have to do the unlock bootloader thing in that 2nd post ? if i still have to do it. which one do i need to follow. the one with wires and pins? or the one with s1tool ? and one last thing bro. how about the kernel installation? thank you and im sorry asking these nooby questions.

Yes, you do have to do it. The use of the s1tool is a part of the of the same process, so just follow it step by step. The kernel installation is if you are planning to stay of the stock ROM. Since you're going to flash a new ROM, it isn't really necessary.

Ive seen some guides about rooting and flashing but i just cant understnd what to do first can somebody help me step by step? Including flashing this rom? I cant understand the guide too btw here's the link of the rom i want to flash. Guys im really sorry if im bothering you but i need some help.I bought for quite a low prince an sensation(simple not xe ..) and i want to root it .I just want to root it ,that's all i dont want to instal another custom rom ,or modify other ,i just want to root it .
Do i really need to get clockwork on the device ....or etc .I saw some threads which were really helpfull but im a litle "slow" on the head departament and that's why i chosen to ask you guys .
And there is another thing that is bothering me ,when i finish the root all the things i had will be deleted ,could you guys please tell me if my numbers will be deleted or the things i have in my sd card like movies and music.
Again i will repeat myself and say that i am sorry that i am so "slow".

also you can backup your contacts with any app
and request in that thread for windows version of the tool

i don't think you will face any problem
you have to see it by yourself
