Guys im really sorry if im bothering you but i need some help.I bought for quite a low prince an sensation(simple not xe ..) and i want to root it .I just want to root it ,that's all i dont want to instal another custom rom ,or modify other ,i just want to root it .
Do i really need to get clockwork on the device ....or etc .I saw some threads which were really helpfull but im a litle "slow" on the head departament and that's why i chosen to ask you guys .
And there is another thing that is bothering me ,when i finish the root all the things i had will be deleted ,could you guys please tell me if my numbers will be deleted or the things i have in my sd card like movies and music.
Again i will repeat myself and say that i am sorry that i am so "slow".

before start it backup everything from your sdcard to pc
also you can backup your contacts with any app
and request in that thread for windows version of the tool
There is a slight problem ,i dont have the original htc usb .Is there any problem?

Well, first of all thou shall introduce thyself!
Secondly, try to use less dots?!
Thirdly, when asking for help, try to do so in a polite manner, using full length words; it's easier for all of us to read what you said instead of trying to understand what the heck does "thing n e way" mean.
There's a guide in my signature. Read it, afterwards come back with more questions if you still have.

in every rom before u install just read all the op. thr is explained how to install, what is required (possibly with links) or any bugs. just read the 1st page i hope u can do by urself.

if u really dont und nothing thn better find someone near u. who can do this for u. because by ur mistake its very much possible to make the toy brick. perhaps u can see this video for some idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSPyOdPDgdU

1. unlocked bootloader and s-off ( search for revolutionary)
2. Custom recovery ( search for 4ext recovery)
3. find a good rom ( i recon Elegancia 3.6 (blitz) or Android revolution HD)
4.Happy flashing.

my Sensation of T-mobile is already rooted and S-off ( it came to me like that they probably done it at the store or something ) all i need is to install another rom because the Elegancia 3.1.1 is what im using right now and its very slow and makes me problems . now , for installing Revolution HD i need to change radio and fireware?

( xperia neo V ) running on ics 4.0. as i read about it . i learned that is smooth running and lag free and i like the interface so much. kindly please help me to do this . i want to change how my phone performs cause i get too annoyed everytime it is laggy and slow. please help me. i want this rom. teach me how to do this because im a newbie and a average phone user. please.

Just follow the instructions in the second link and then get back to the rom flashing. You'll have to judge for yourself (I wouldn't know).

Dude,nother noobie question . sorry dude. but im confused if i have to do the unlock bootloader thing in that 2nd post ? if i still have to do it. which one do i need to follow. the one with wires and pins? or the one with s1tool ? and one last thing bro. how about the kernel installation? thank you and im sorry asking these nooby questions.

Yes, you do have to do it. The use of the s1tool is a part of the of the same process, so just follow it step by step. The kernel installation is if you are planning to stay of the stock ROM. Since you're going to flash a new ROM, it isn't really necessary.

Hey,
I recently rooted my note 2 via some YouTube link.. Now for some reason I am still getting over the air updates and my recovery mode always goes into the Samsung recovery (only options are wipe data and some others.. The screen is black with a green android mascot )
However all the root apps are working.. So what do I do£
Do I install the update which has come over the airborne not?

You should send us a link to the youtube link and you should get a rom off XDA, it works better and you get more support.

Have you even gone to the thread for your device and read there? That should be the first thing you do before you do anything on your phone. Following some youtube video then coming here for help is not very considerate. Also you provided no information.
Luckily for you. You have root access but you haven't installed a custom recovery yet. You need to do that next. Then install the rom of your choice. Look in the development section for your device and read the stickies. Good luck.

yes i did.. there was a video.. i watched a 100 of those before rooting the device .. so in the end i chose one which i thought i was the most comfortable with .
unfortunately this happened and now it has come notice that xda is the overlord of sorts in android .. at the time i didnt kow else i would have followed the xda guide..
hence i ask NOW WHAT.
should i unroot ?
my recovery goes into stock recovery and cwm or twer recovery doesnt work properly .. so hence my question was thus framed..

Dude. I just told you what to do. It sounds like you are already rooted so now you flash custom recovery and from there flash the rom of your choice.

ok so im completely new to rooting and unofficial roms and im just confused on what should i do first??
as far as i know i should first root my phone millions of ways to do so so confused
then install CWM which again i found millions of ways to download and im just so confused on what to choose
then after i have CWM i should now copy the rom i downloaded and flash it
of course it depends on the rom and i should always backup i know but its just that what should i do first some people say that CWM already root the phone and some people say that i can root the phone by just copying a update.zip into my phone sd card and from recovery mood i can easily just use it and it will be rooted
