Greetings,
I've just recently fixed my nexus 5 broken on/off switch, and had to open the backcover for it (and had to close and open it a few times more). But now at the bottom of the phone, at both sides, there is a long small gap where I can put my finger nail in when I use a bit of force, which I couldn't do before.
Anyone else has this problem? And would it be fixed by buying a new back cover?
Thanks

Hi,
I've had my Nexus S for less than 4 weeks, and I just noticed today that the top right corner of the screen seems to have some give when you press on it. It apparently just started happening now... Anyone else have this issue with their phone? I'm wondering if I should just run to Best Buy and have them exchange the phone for me before it's too late...
Thanks,
Mike
I don't have that problem with mine but in your case looks like you might have to take that trip to best buy
Sent from my Nexus S
if you look at it, does the surface of the top corner part raised a bit compared to the other corners or sides?
I ask because I tried to press gently on the corners and also the sides and there's a very slight give. It maybe because of the type of screen (plastic?) causing the give when pressed?
yeah it appears to be ever so slighlty raised, and has a very slight give...
any word on if this is normal? I have the same issue with the bottom capacitive side....it is noticeably lose sometimes, I can push it then it becomes tight...then the capacitive buttons wont work unless I turn off the screen then turn it back on.
My 2 week old Nexus S just started doing this. It feels like the screen is attached with glue and the screen has separated from the frame. I can press on it and it sticks for a moment, but if press a minute later it clicks again.
My phone had the same problem.. Upper right screen was lifting ever so slightly. I was passed my thirty days so i couldn't bring it back to bestbuy. My only option was to send it to samsung for repair. The problem was that they had it for almost three weeks and when i got it back the screen was still lifting up. I had to send it back out and almost three weeks later (again) i got it back and it was fixed. They ended up replacing the PBA. Not exactly sure what that is but the phone is fixed.
Hello,
I have an HTC Sensation z710e for like a month already and I'm very happy with it so far. Recently, the phone slipped from my hands a few times and the top part of the cover with the camera hole broke. I glued it back and its not that bad, only that now each time when I type with harder than tap force on the right side on the phone, it will sink a bit into the case with a annoying click and come back (not visible). Is this fixable or should I leave it?
P.S. if i take the phone out and push on the battery (same side) it will move a bit inward towards the phone's screen. Nothing looks broken at all except the little crack that is there because the top part doesn't stick perfectly back.
Thank you!
Do any of you have this issue?
When you tap on the middle upper of the tablet a little bit hard it causes a vibrate clicky loose sound like the components behind are loose?
I only noticed it today and im sure it wasn't like this before or if it was not so prominent.
Im out of my retailers return window so if anything needs to be fixed I'll have to go to samsung.
The device functions ok but im just a little concerned the screenis coming loose or thr digitizer..thevibration clicky sound is quite annoying and i can't remember if it used to be there i think it might as directly behind where it rattles is the camera and above the battery and speakers. I just hear and feel a vibrating rattling sound which annoys me and feels like the build is poor. Can you guys try tapping the middle upper of your tablet quite hard or moderqtely and see if you have same issue?
What do you think has happend screen coming loose?
I think the resistive and conductive layers of the screen have come loose from the hard tapping.
If i hold down the middle of the screen and release it makes a 'sticky' sound. What is likely to happen if this continues?
From reading it says the resistive and conductive layers come in constant contact meaning it. Ould misinterpret commands.
Is it possible the screen is just loosened from the digitizer or is it more likely the 2 layers of resisitive and conductive layer are loose?
Does anyone know what this is?
It is so annoying in certain parts of the screen it seems to be looose hence the tapping. Is the glue loose or the screen coming apart?
If i lie it flat on a table there is less rattling when i type but when i put it in my case to hold it up the clicky rattling sound is more im just worried it's going to collapse at some point. Can anyone fathom what might be causing this?
It feels like the creen has come loose slightly in certain parts of the screen as if i tap on the opposite side across the screen it seems to c9rrect this issue for a few secs which leads me to think the screen is coming loose
Ive just realised now it's the back cover which is loose or the insides.
It seems by me pressing down on the front screen too much and the back of the tablet not completely heald down on a flat hard surface t has somehow caused the back cover to come loose of the parts inside have come loose by being forced back slightly.
Does anyone guess what is hppening?
When i flip over the tablet and press the back and tap the back cover on the right side it sounds loose and if i press on it there is some give like there is some space.
So ive identified what is thr cause of this and it's that my case which has rubber corners which hold it against the back of the backbpard leaves a gap between tge tablet and the backboard of the case cover. When i tap the screen too hard it causes a flex ehich unfortunately has caused the tablettobend and push the motherboard and insides onto the back cover which hss now flexed and stretched i presume? Or it has xaused the components to dislodge and misplace, can the back cover actually stretch this much?ithought it wad hard pladtic that retains its shape
I heard the tab s creaks also but mine is the back cover has stretched out fr8m within not holding the components snuggly if that makes sense. What is the fix for this?
Hi people,
Got myself a shiny new platinum s6 64gb on o2.
Phone is amazing, and I absolutely love it. But, the home button is a bit wobbly. It's firm on the right side of the button, but dips inward a bit on the left and makes a slight 'clicky sound' like a loose button would.
Is it best I nip this in the bud now, and get a new replacement? Or is it absolutely fine, and just something minor to forget about?
Thanks everyone!
the button on mine is firm and solid. i say get a replacement.
Here's a quick and easy fix for you guys. At the time of writing this, there is no solution, besides replacing the home button or replacing the phone.
The slightest misalignment annoys me. My perfectionist brethrens will share my pain.
After searching hours on solution, and even considering disassembling and replacing the home button, I managed to stop the rattling/clicking.
Steps:
1. Slip the corner of a piece of paper into the gap in the home button where there is movement (or "clicking" sound) to identify the source of imbalance.
2. Cut a small piece of paper. This piece should be extremely small (in the 1-2 mm range) to fix into the gap found in step 1.
3. Using a tweezer, slip this piece into the gap in home button.
4. Repeat as necessary to fill in the gaps.
It's a timely process but works.
Let me know how it works for you gents.
I have the same exact issue in my phone, I do not know if this a normal issue or what?
Hi,
Hope somebody can help me. I purchased a second hand oneplus one of which the screen was broken. I purchased a replacement screen and replaced it without any issues. After powering it back up and starting to use it I noticed there was an horizontal band around the middle of the screen not picking up touches. I opened it again and tested the same without the cover (camera lens and flash) and it worked fine. When putting everything back and closing it, the problem reappears. I noticed from looking at the tear downs pictures I was missing a small plastic piece sitting to the right of the connector and above the ear piece. No idea what it's is purpose but it is missing. I've read that some users have grounding issues and maybe this missing piece is important to ensure the connector and flex don't touch other parts of the body.
Anybody knows what the function of this plastic piece is and where I can purchase one. All resellers I found don't sell this piece. Agreed it doesn't look like it could get faulty but in my case I or the previous owner lost it.
Thanks.
Just put some tape where the piece should be and you should be fine.
I have the exact same issue, but my plastic piece isn't missing. Did you manage to solve it?
