I have been around this thread for a while and all things are very confusing here so i have started this discussion thread for XPERIA E[dual].there is very less development for our device so lets start the development guys !!!!, Share your all problem and i will with other user will try to solve it

All other things are on POST 2

so,
till now all that xperia E dual have is
1>clockworkmod/twrp recovery
2>cyanogenmod10 (by @jjm34) rom
3>stock deodexed rom(11.3.A.2.1 of C1605,but works fine on my c1604)..ready to be themed
4>xperia nexus rom(guess its buggy)
5>z-fusion (can be applied over cm10)
6>i'm working on a rom(stock deodexed and pre rooted,all g-apps and sony apps removed,with Xperia i1 walkman,movies and album.)
7>anything else????????????????????????

Sony xperia tipo wifi authentication problem?

i am too working on lewa for our device i will be releasing it soon after i got every thing fixed hope someone will compile PAC or AOKP for our device! and please do one this all things you are posted above just edit them with there corresponding thread so it will be easy for user to find it.

Nice to heare that there is somebody working on our dev.
Infact I did a lot of modifications myself to my dedoxed Rom but I thought nobody interested so I didn't released it.

oh...c'mon man.....there are no professinal guys working for these low end devices....so even the slightest modifiction counts.........
i liked the deodexed rom very much
upload your's when you have completed it....i am under pressure due to exams.....i'll upload mine as soon as my exams are over

Great to see that there is a thread for this phone.
I have also been busy with modding this phone a little here and there. One thing i've noticed is that when the network changes from 3G to H there is quite a bit of lag that occurs. I did a logcat on it and found that a particular commands gets executed quite a lot of times in that 1-2 sec. Does anyone else have this same problem?
Also I have seen this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335434, its on the xperia e ss, but i guess we can see a few issues that can be potentially elimanated as we have the dual.
Also this should be a sticky thread.

because the new firmware 11.3.A.2.13 still on android 4.1.1
another question why the new firmware does not have surround sound with 3D effects

I just check out that on gsmarena that Sony is updating there apps so lets hope we will also get this update.

I dont think so there will be any further updates for this device atleast from Sony try to contact developers of different forum so that they can try to build for this device.We have our sources and if anyone has good Net speed they can try to compile.

Strange doesn't happens with mine and i have both the option in my walkman Xloud with surround sound for headphones i will look into in try to get a solution for you.

I had the curiosity, so i tried it. Unfortunately i had bootloop. Firstly, i saw that android was upgrading 175 elements. Then, it rebooted and it stuck to xperia logo.

Can I install your mod in my miro stock rom with other mod or must be clean rom first??

It doesn't work in gimlo stock but it works in gimlo 2! Try it! I had the same problem with gimlo stock (bootloop)!

XPERIA E SS users: porting a ROM

Hey, awesome chaps of the XDA-community!
You may know me, or you may not... I happen to own an XPERIA E C1505, and to be honest: I'm not really satisfied with the amount of ROMs available for our E. Coming from the SII, I got spoiled... We had eveything, you name a ROM and I could flash it. Unfortunately this is not the case with the XPERIA E and I can fully understand that. Our phone is a budget phone, and many potential devs have bought a better phone. I am not blaming anyone, just saying.
Now, since I have way too many time(finally finished practice-exams), and I can't ride my racing bike(my hobby), because of the ****tiest weather ever, I thought I might as well could try to port a ROM. CM11 would be cool to work on, but my laptop is a 32bit computer and you need a 64bit for that... So porting a ROM, and perhaps try to build one myself(stock based) are my only options to get further involved in Android.
My question to you(single sim XPERIA E users): what ROM should I try to port? MIUI or Paranoid Android?
I looked into some guides and they are equally hard to port. Note the ''try''. I can not guarantee anything, since this is the first time I try something like this.

Uhhm, I have added a poll... And installing a 64bit ISO on a 32bit computer won't work. It will give the error: ''compatibily issues''.

xperia E is my first android ....that's why no knowledge
how much ram u have? if u install a only x64bit iso it should work
my laptp had 2gb ram and x86
but
i installed a extra 4gig ram(total=6gb) and used a 64 bit iso with same MS key and it worked

I tried to port it earlier... It did boot up, but there were strange after-boot errors.
I gave up trying, you could take the initiative to fix it

Start with ParanoidAndroid. MIUI is much harder to port and requires more skills/knowledge about porting.

Yeah, I finished my first try of Paranoid Android! Flash was fine, no errors, but ofcourse... a bootloop! Found this extensive guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232773, so I'll try again.

Allright, the second flashed worked! I'm in Paranoid.
Bugs: -SIM doesn't get recognized, will see if flashing baseband works.
-Settings menu has text the size of a bacteria. Jeez, almost unreadable.
-Paranoid Settings force closes when I try to open it. I think I know a fix.

@MatsPunt I ported it from JLo using @lozohcum version following the guide you posted.
When the rom boots all I have is a black screen although boot animation works just fine.

That's the exact same problem I had with SlimBean; baseband issues. I gave up eventually, but if you find a fix, I'd be happy as hell to update it.
Awesome that you're porting a ROM! I think you'd want to change the title to something like [ROM] [PORT] [E] ParanoidAndroid 3 or something. Just saying.

F**********n baseband issue. I spent like my whole day to find a fix, but nothing works... I'm going to bed now, and tomorrow I will try again!

Edit: lying in my cozy bed, I was "cleaning" my brain and trying to focus on the problem. What came up in me was this: since the CM10 I use as base(jjm's ROM+hsr0's kernel) was originally made for the E Dual, flashing the latest E Dual JellyBean baseband might fix the baseband issue. Had no luck flashing the baseband of any E single stock firmwsre, so yeah, maybe I'm lucky... Will look into this tomorrow!

The more roms the better for us all. In this way we can do something really big.
Do not be afraid to do roms. I do Xperia E roms despite the lack of phone but possible, "the industry is to give support to the E Dual"
For me, the first step is to make AOSP or AOKP so I wish you good luck

Dann. I give up. The base rom I use(CM10) has too many bugs. Those bugs also occur in every port I make.
-Network bug. No Sim detected. Nothing works to fix this
-Charging issue. When the network bug happens, charging won't work anymore.
-Bluetooth doesn't work
-Magnetometer doesn't work.
All this bugs are part of the base rom. I'm not experienced enough to fix these bugs in CM10 itself. I'll try my luck on a stock based rom. Sorry.
Thanks for all the help. I don't want to quit, but porting a rom with bugs on a base rom with bugs... I might as well throw it out of the window then.

I wrote here an entire article about new CM11 by Mr. Stenly & created a tutorial how to install it:

If you're not in the Xperia L Official Facebook Page,join and then you'll be able to read.Link for the facebook page is also in my signature.
Long story short : BT doesn't work & internal storage works 50% ( you can't move any app installed from playstore to internal storage,however you can browse it with a file manager,use it as normally,put large games (the cache i mean) and then install the app and it's working).
Camera is better,kitkat is faster,it has all the cm11 features which are awesome,no other important bugs so far (after 2-3 days of testing).

Tried to install but failed due to some reasons...!!!!
And I Will not install it.because it is buggy.

I would say the camera on stock .14 firmware because sony updated it and it is now
fully functional on lowlight sceneries

You can also try this Mod

If you're on 14 fw,you can try this apk...i've compile it from stock using highrate code with this guide
edit the name and push to system with rwrr permission
don't forget to edit media profiles too

Hi,
I'm not an expert here.
What I'd like to do is to install an android version on the sony C1505 that is extremely light and fast, no google search, google software, audio optimization... a quite empty but light system. Do you know how to do?
Is this one the one you'd recommend or might you please pointing me out in which thread I could find my answer?

Would it be possible for this ROM to get some updates? Such as using Android 4.4.2? KitKat works so much better than Jelly Bean, and I'm slightly frustrated that this brilliant ROM can't use that! Also, could Walkman be adjusted so that the song's timeline position thing actually shows up on the screen and not just out of reach below the bottom of the screen?

Since this is a stock based Rom I dont think upgrading to 4.4.2 is possible.. If u want kitkat so badly why dont u try a cm11 based Rom..

If u r considering to install a cm11 Rom u should know, there are a few "not very interesting" bugs on cm11 Xperia E Roms.. Like Bluetooth, video playback and video recording not working bugs and something wrong with gsm or something (if I recall correctly)..

Yeah, I spent the 2 days before yesterday looking up something stable and usable, and found nothing. The only guy driving the development (UltraGamerHD or something) for both CM11 and CM12 is briefly AWOL. I can wait though, as I do have exams for now.
