[Q] Xperia E Dual ROM's

Hi!
I am looking for ROM's for Sony Xperia E Dual, but can't find any for this phone, only for Tipo Dual, etc which I don't know if they work in Xperia E Dual.
Also, can't find this phone in the foruns, it only says E, not E Dual, is it the same thing?
Anyone who have tried successfully a ROM on this phone, please post the link.

Count me in...I'm also in search of this.....since the number of people buying this phone increases I'm sure the devs will find a solution in near future...
Yet there are cyanogenmod available for xperia e(not dual)...a friend of mine in xda told me that there won't be cyanogenmod for dual Sim mobiles...yet u can flash the cm10 from fxp website(fxp217,218)...there are nanhu versions available.....but might not be very stable and will have to sacrifice a sim.....
Do it if u really want to..

Nope, you will not have to sacrifice a sim, in fact, you will not be able to use any sim because there is no GSM support yet for Xperia E single (see FXP's CM10 changelog), let alone dual

by the way i found a website named techgeekal, they uploaded the xperia z-fusion rom for e dual.. based on cm 10 so you still need the cm10 installed.. not yet tried for that :silly: but the cyanogenmod 10 are awesome

Hey guys
can you give me link to forum/thread specific xperia E dual.. where I can find ROM available for Xperia E dual and other development ...I can't find one
I checked development section but there is not a single sticky..no index thread ..nothing seems to be organized
by searching in xda and google, all I could find is the there is CM 10 available for XPERIA E dual but that too is in alpha stage (I thing video decoder doesnot work)
So any other development aroung.

Currently the ROM status for the E Dual is: CM10, NoZ and XboosT.

Hello Everyone it might be bit irrelevant but i was looking for Cyanogenmod 10 but not able to find any where almost all links are dead.... i tried flashing jim34's nanhu-CM10DS-0.8.1.36-ota cm 10 rom... but battery was not getting below 100% and also no charging... can anyone please give me link for any stable cm 10 rom or a way to fix 100% battery problem... a bit help will be appreciated... nd also i know that there is cm 11 for xperia e but camera is not working in it...

Try to flash Hades CM10 Kernel (through Flashtool) after that you have flashed the ROM. I have tried it with this CyanogenMod and work well.
If you have other problem, follow my guide it work for me.

XPERIA E SS users: porting a ROM

Hey, awesome chaps of the XDA-community!
You may know me, or you may not... I happen to own an XPERIA E C1505, and to be honest: I'm not really satisfied with the amount of ROMs available for our E. Coming from the SII, I got spoiled... We had eveything, you name a ROM and I could flash it. Unfortunately this is not the case with the XPERIA E and I can fully understand that. Our phone is a budget phone, and many potential devs have bought a better phone. I am not blaming anyone, just saying.
Now, since I have way too many time(finally finished practice-exams), and I can't ride my racing bike(my hobby), because of the ****tiest weather ever, I thought I might as well could try to port a ROM. CM11 would be cool to work on, but my laptop is a 32bit computer and you need a 64bit for that... So porting a ROM, and perhaps try to build one myself(stock based) are my only options to get further involved in Android.
My question to you(single sim XPERIA E users): what ROM should I try to port? MIUI or Paranoid Android?
I looked into some guides and they are equally hard to port. Note the ''try''. I can not guarantee anything, since this is the first time I try something like this.

Uhhm, I have added a poll... And installing a 64bit ISO on a 32bit computer won't work. It will give the error: ''compatibily issues''.

xperia E is my first android ....that's why no knowledge
how much ram u have? if u install a only x64bit iso it should work
my laptp had 2gb ram and x86
but
i installed a extra 4gig ram(total=6gb) and used a 64 bit iso with same MS key and it worked

I tried to port it earlier... It did boot up, but there were strange after-boot errors.
I gave up trying, you could take the initiative to fix it

Start with ParanoidAndroid. MIUI is much harder to port and requires more skills/knowledge about porting.

Yeah, I finished my first try of Paranoid Android! Flash was fine, no errors, but ofcourse... a bootloop! Found this extensive guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232773, so I'll try again.

Allright, the second flashed worked! I'm in Paranoid.
Bugs: -SIM doesn't get recognized, will see if flashing baseband works.
-Settings menu has text the size of a bacteria. Jeez, almost unreadable.
-Paranoid Settings force closes when I try to open it. I think I know a fix.
Will report back later

@MatsPunt I ported it from JLo using @lozohcum version following the guide you posted.
When the rom boots all I have is a black screen although boot animation works just fine.

That's the exact same problem I had with SlimBean; baseband issues. I gave up eventually, but if you find a fix, I'd be happy as hell to update it.

F**********n baseband issue. I spent like my whole day to find a fix, but nothing works... I'm going to bed now, and tomorrow I will try again!

Edit: lying in my cozy bed, I was "cleaning" my brain and trying to focus on the problem. What came up in me was this: since the CM10 I use as base(jjm's ROM+hsr0's kernel) was originally made for the E Dual, flashing the latest E Dual JellyBean baseband might fix the baseband issue. Had no luck flashing the baseband of any E single stock firmwsre, so yeah, maybe I'm lucky... Will look into this tomorrow!

Do not be afraid to do roms. I do Xperia E roms despite the lack of phone but possible, "the industry is to give support to the E Dual"
For me, the first step is to make AOSP or AOKP so I wish you good luck

Dann. I give up. The base rom I use(CM10) has too many bugs. Those bugs also occur in every port I make.
-Network bug. No Sim detected. Nothing works to fix this
-Charging issue. When the network bug happens, charging won't work anymore.
-Bluetooth doesn't work
-Magnetometer doesn't work.
All this bugs are part of the base rom. I'm not experienced enough to fix these bugs in CM10 itself. I'll try my luck on a stock based rom. Sorry.
Thanks for all the help. I don't want to quit, but porting a rom with bugs on a base rom with bugs... I might as well throw it out of the window then.

[Q] Does Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo and E need cm 10.2(Android 4.3)?

Do users of these phones require (Or atleast dream of) CM 10.2 for their phones?

Why dont you try to fix bugs in other CM?(Not that I would use CM10.2 if there arent too much bugs but even CM10 that is sayd to be almost bug free dosn't have things like video recording.)

I understand what problems you're facing. The first and the most important one is that you clearly don't know where to post questions like these! This should be put up in general section with a new thread as a question. Secondly, I don't think you need to unroot it prior to the update. And finally, if you have already unrooted it and installed the update, find out a way to root that firmware. Towelroot works like a charm for xperia devices but i've not tested it on E. Kudos!

I'll build CM9 too. Just help me find out how .elfs can be repacked into .imgs.
That's all I'm waiting for. If I get it, I'll be able to start generating the skeleton files needed to proceed.

I think Xperia J needs CM 10.2 too. Please port this ROM on Xperia J too!

I'm not an expert here.
What I'd like to do is to install an android version on the sony C1505 that is extremely light and fast, no google search, google software, audio optimization... a quite empty but light system. Do you know how to do?

Would it be possible for this ROM to get some updates? Such as using Android 4.4.2? KitKat works so much better than Jelly Bean, and I'm slightly frustrated that this brilliant ROM can't use that! Also, could Walkman be adjusted so that the song's timeline position thing actually shows up on the screen and not just out of reach below the bottom of the screen?

Since this is a stock based Rom I dont think upgrading to 4.4.2 is possible.. If u want kitkat so badly why dont u try a cm11 based Rom..

If u r considering to install a cm11 Rom u should know, there are a few "not very interesting" bugs on cm11 Xperia E Roms.. Like Bluetooth, video playback and video recording not working bugs and something wrong with gsm or something (if I recall correctly)..

Yeah, I spent the 2 days before yesterday looking up something stable and usable, and found nothing. The only guy driving the development (UltraGamerHD or something) for both CM11 and CM12 is briefly AWOL. I can wait though, as I do have exams for now.

The ROM works for tipo dual bro :good:
The systemUI with small apps is included as a choice to install in V2.6!! (only bug is only 1sim signal shows up, refer to my thread to see how to solve that problem :good

i tried to install the v2.6 but i can't

hi i am using xperia tipo dual
yesterday i rooted the tipo dual and installed alien ware kitkaat after installling my phone is not showing the signals it is showing emergency calls only can u help me to solve the problem
before rooting i have backup my previous data help me how to restore the oldest version

I want to tell you that Alien ware ROM kitkat is NOT A REAL KITKAT ROM! (fake to be specific) and it works only for Tipo single sim.
to restore your stock firmware, you can use flashtool, and don't forget to download the "ftf" firmware file for Xperia Tipo dual (you can find all that in forum, or just google it )
But, you can try my ROM instead! (V2.7.2 is out! hope you like it!)

I've abandoned V2.6.X, but V2.7.2 is out! more stable, smooth, and packed with almost all mods working for tipo dual! :good:

Dev is working on it, let him finish its work, till than enjoy the lust of tipo dual with 2.7.2

Sony xperia tipo dual
By this ROM, can i use the dual sim, or else only singal sim will work, please reply? Also can u do a favour for me, i did not back up my phone...so i want my original( stock ROM). can it be possible 4 me to get that and install that.
