I'll forward this thing to product team asap, but unfortunately we dont have S2 to test with, it works fine with S3 though.
Since WeLine is still in Beta, we will fix a lot of things
One question though, which version did you use?
0.9.6 0.9.1 or 0.9.0 ?
And make sure you have grant WeLine accessing your camera
Thanks

Thanks

This is awesome! Great job.
I'm a little concerned about security though. Every time we view a file from the phone on weline.cc, how is that file getting to the PC and is it secured in any way? Is it stored anywhere?
Possible bug? When I try to backup Messages via weline.cc, the generated .txt file doesn't seem to be unicode. I have multiple languages, including non-Latin ones like Hebrew, being used in my messages and the txt backup is just a mess.

Linux
No linux support... Uninstalling.

Would love to have login feature that airdroid provides rather than manual scan . If that feature is provided this thing is better than AIRDROID in every other way . Also why dont you merge this with Xender itself ?

Nice app with a great interface! The logging in also works smooth.
I do however have a bug with the browser and .flac files while connected. When I'm trying to add files from my pc to my phone through the datafolders browsing with weline.cc (in Chrome), my whole Chrome will instantly crash as soon as I go within a folder that contains a .flac music file.
I already found out that .flac is also not supported as music file the phone can let the pc play through the WeLine stream function. Normal .mp3 files work perfectly though

Don't it work without intenet connection
I mean will it work with wifi direct only no ineternet connection like playing games through wifi multiplayer. router with wifi only no internet connection.

I have been fan of xender for a while now. The simpisity and the features it provides is amazing and it is the best way to transfer files between mobile devices . And once again this is the best app there is to connect the pc and android phone. It looks awesome it fells awesome and it is very reliable if it is coming from the people over at xender i'm sure of it. but if this app transfer data through wifi direct why bother visting the sit and scanning the qr code isn't there any way to connect the devices offline without having a internet connection it would be great to connect the devices locally like other apps and it seems flac file doen't seem to play in the brower those are the only flaws i think it has. once again awesome appp people keep up the good work.

Hay dude this is perfect work. I want to help to Turkish translation. Can i?

QR scanner not working for me either
Looking forward to trying this.
WeLine version 0.9.6 on a first generation Moto X KK 4.4.4 not rooted. Permissions allow for taking of pictures and videos.
Edit: The WeLine app QR scanner actually displays very bright objects, such as a light bulb, these bright objects appear darker than they should be. Darker objects flash 2X/second with a very brief dark image.
I couldn't scan the QR code as displayed on my PC but with a bright iPad screen I made a successful connection.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks.

This app works great on my Allview Viper V1 S (Walton Primo S2). Thanks for developer!

We have updated the app thay may fix the black screen bug :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
please try and if you could please give us the feedback

Hi jshare, thank you for using weline
On cloud relay mode, WeLine only use the server for forwarding file purposes, so our server only act as a pipe, it makes flexibility for certain users, and we can guarantee that the File will not saved in any way.
But if your phone and pc is in the same WiFi network WeLine will transfer the data locally without transferring any data to the internet.
Oh and for the bug, we will check it and will fix it asap :cyclops:
Thank you very much

[Tool] BROWSIX: Access your phone from any browser

I recently released Browsix. If you install my app, you can do the following from another PC in your local network:
Download, upload, delete, rename,... all your files using the file manager (PC <=> Phone)
View your photos.
Listen to your music.
Watch your videos
Send and receive SMS messages
All you need is a regular browser on a PC in the same local network as your phone. Just point your PC's browser to www.browsix.com and you will be redirected to your phone (without configuring Bluetooth, USB cables,...). Sounds great?!
You can find Browsix in the Android market.

Thought the same
And still waiting for more crazy users than me to try it if it is good or not.
Add me to that waiting list as well.
Tried the site and no sign of malicious activity.
EDIT - didn't realize WiFi is required. Works great!
Hi Guys,
I really appreciate your interest. Now it's up to me to convince you that we are not into spam I just thought it would be great if you could point your browser to a web page and then be redirected to your phone. That's why I developed this tool, and it took quite some time actually. Some more explanation: What we actually do is show a link on the browsix.com home page when the Browsix application is installed, you will notice that this is a local IP address (you have to be connected via Wifi). So if you click the link, you will be redirected to your phone, which will serve all the requests. The tool you install on your android phone is actually a lightweight webserver.
@Phateless: Did you try the top links on the home page. For instance, if you click the Photos link, you should see a photo slideshow. Did that not work for you? What browser are you using? Of course you will not see the photos on your phone You will have to install the application for that.
Just to make things clear: None of your data (photos, music, files, etc..) is stored on our server. We only store you local IP address.
We are still in early development so I really appreciate all your suggestions, bug reports, etc. And believe me, I'm not a spammer. Is there any another way for me to prove this?
Thanks,
Stijn

Hi Stijn, I believe you now. Didn't realize you had to be connected via WIFI, I thought it was like Awesome Drop which operates via 3G. http://labs.dashwire.com/drop
Very excited to try this out when I get home!
Bump - this is an awesome utility that everyone needs to try.
Thanks to Phateless and some other forum members I released a new version with some exciting new features:
- Upload multiple files at the same time (also included in the free version)
- Intelligent prefetching for faster load times
- Unlimited upload size
- Rename/delete files
- Better error handling
For the upcoming version I have in mind:
- Password protection
What other features would you guys like to see?
Thanks,
Stijn

We go a few steps further. We have separate pages for photos, music and video where you can view your media. On top of that we provide a file manager that you can use to copy/manage files between a PC and your phone, in both ways .
I also have an exciting new feature to announce!!
- The ability to send and receive SMS text messages in your browser.
I use it to respond to my text messages when my phone is on my desk and my browser is opened anyway.
This feature is still in BETA, so I hope I will get tons of feedback to further improve it.
See you later!
What's the difference between the lite and paid versions? Or is it a donate?
EDIT: Ah, nevermind. Found it on your website.

The paid version has: Fullscreen support, Ads-free local pages, Extra file manager features and much more to come...

Hi seboj,
Were you connected via WiFi? Your computer should be in the same local network as your phone (basically behind the same router).
It's started randomly force closing on me for the last few days, when it wasn't even open that I knew of.

I think both your problems have something to do with the new SMS feature (are you both using android 2.2 ?).
A bit technical: I implemented a BroadcastReceiver for the SMS messages. This means that when you receive an SMS, the receiver upgrades a counter and stores some properties of the SMS so Browsix can use them. I will add some more error checking and publish a new version to the market. (EDIT The broadcastreceiver is now only registered when browsix is enabled)
If you still have the same problem with the new version, can someone check the output of LogCat? That would be a great help.
Thanks for your patience,
Stijn
EDIT: A new version is published to the market. Please let me know if it works for you.

Can you give me a basic on logcat? I've heard the term and I'm fairly comfortable with adb, just haven't used logcat yet.
You can use
Code:
adb logcat
to print out log messages. More information can be found at http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/adb.html#logcat
I think we can find the problem if you use the following (this will print error messages, you will have to enable usb debugging on your phone):
Code:
adb logcat *:E

AirDroid... yet another like Remote Web Desktop

I'm not, by any means, a developer or affiliated with AirDroid in any way. <--- definitely advertising
I came across this app earlier today and it is honestly one of the most useful apps I've ever seen. It gives one the potential to view his or her messages, calls, contacts, files and everything else on your phone FROM YOUR PC (or Mac) WEB BROWSER. All you have to do is type in a gateway that you get once you open the app on your phone. It'll take you to a log-in screen, which precedes a "desktop" with all of your phone-everything.
One of the coolest things is that it automatically syncs anything you do within the web browser to your phone and vice-versa. I.E. this is one of the few/only app(s) that will show pictures and full contact details within the web browser. Unlike other apps, if you send or receive messages, your phone logs and conversations will also be updated..as if you never used the app to begin with.
Per usual, you need to be connected to the same wifi network from your phone and PC/Mac/iPad/tablet you'll use to "control" your phone.
There aren't any notable downsides that I've read of or come across. This is simply a solid app that has unlimited potential.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sand.airdroid
*Just to clarify, I purposely did not put this in the app section. I'm not attempting to solicit the app, only get the word of mouth out and get a discussion going on how you all feel about AirDroid<--- definitely advertising

As a rule of thumb I delete Kies Air at first because it's bloat to me. But I tried using it as often as I'd use AirDroid. Kies Air is just so slow, laggy and well...bloated. At least the web version. I'm the kind of person who loads saves ALL of his texts. So Kies attempts to automatically load EVERYTHING on your phone at once: texts, calls, music, pictures, videos, files. Software-wise it's not necessarily efficient.
To answer the original question- yes. But this is faster and cleaner in every definition of the words. Much simpler UI with faster transfer speeds and won't hog up your bandwidth because it only loads data as needed.
*Edit from here and below:
I guess the reason for the lag behind Kies Air is due to the fact that it runs a Java applet on your web browser. AirDroid runs a much cleaner JavaScript that's linked with HTML5, as I understand.
It's up to you, of course. But after trying both, I don't think there's any actual competition as to which app is significantly faster and more efficient.

Yes, in some aspects Kies Air does the same thing.
However, AirDroid is 12094820394823 times faster! The ease of the interface is amazing. It's a truly innovative application if you do a lot of files transfers through your phone. I use my phone like a thumb drive all the time. This only makes it easier. Sending messages while doing work on my laptop without having to type on the phone's keyboard? Yes please.
I would easily pay for this app.
I would like to see a novel contact manager built into the app. Something that is really functional and efficient. We all know that google contacts and android's address book are both a little weak in the functionality department. If the developers of the app can make such a solid app, I'm sure they can come up with a creative contact manager to integrate into AirDroid.
awesome app, but it would be even more awesome if u can fully utilize your phone (like literally browse through phone functions on a PC) on the web browser

This looks absolutely amazing. They must have spent quite a bit of time to make this app as awesome as it is. And completely free? Crazy.
Which is the only reason I have qualms about it. How can a company invest so much into an app that generates no revenue whatsoever in the Market?
I am always weary of apps that have complete access to all of your personal information (which the app needs to work correctly) and have no obvious avenue for generating revenue.
Maybe I'm missing something here? Are there ads?
i guess you guys never seen this from 2 years ago? FREE!
Remote Web Desktop
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.xdevelop.rm
apparently this air drive people just ripped off the idea from Remote Web Desktop
i've been using it since AOSP 2.1
Thanks for supporting AirDroid. Actually now, AirDroid also supports remote access to your mobile, even when your mobile is not around and not in the same wifi, you can access it to Web browser by enabling the auto wake up mode in APP.
There should be a screen viewer option.
Nice work

To the first point, Kies is Samsung proprietary. They may do similar things and Airdroid is faster, but for the HTC phones I have, Kies really lacks in the "working" dept.
Secondarily, I am unsure if your statement includes the web-based Google Contacts in desktop browser but I find it quite sufficient for my needs and is obviously synced with Android if you use Google apps.
For every other need, I would imagine the import/export functionality of Google Contacts would make it easily portable to other platforms and then able to be ported back. "Insert simple script here " tacked on to said platform enables full auto sync.

[APP][2.2+] DroidXplorer, Wireless filemanager

I just published an early version of an app that allows you to browse and manage the contents on your device using just a webbrowser, the only requirement is that your device is connected to the same network as the computer or tablet you use to browse with.
The Video and Image galleries shows thumbnails, and if you have the correct plugins installed in your browser you can stream audio and video without downloading.
Here's a video clip featuring the web interface:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WzFWsIsDY4
And here are two screenshots of the server app and the web based user interface

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Download from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.droidstop.droidxplore
If you decide to try it, please note that when you start the server it might take a while before the server is active, you will notice when notification icon "xp" is shown.
This is an early version, and if feedback shows it's worth it, I will implement ability to transfer files TO the device within a week.
I have only been able to test the app on an HTC Sensation with ICS, and an emulator running 2.2 so I can't guarantee it will work for everyone yet, just remember to send bug reports to me so I can fix all issues, if there are any.
Current features
- Browse contents
- View thumbnail galleries
- Download and Upload files from and to your device.
- Create folders, rename files and folders and delete stuff.
I would really appreciate feedback on this.
Thanks for reading.
Suggested plugins for your browser to get streaming from your device working:
Quicktime, http://www.apple.com/quicktime/?
VLC Media Player, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
Pretty decent and fast, but quite a bit of wasted space. Maybe you also also direct us to some of the plugins to enable video/audio playback in browser.
Not too bad actually. Streaming video seems to work well in Chrome. I'm excited to try this at home on my Google TV. That's the real test, in my opinion. Excited for some more features too.
Nice app.
Only Mp3 is being streamed. Even Mp4 starts downloading.
Thank you for all the nice feedback guys, and what a great honor to be featured on the first page
I've already implemented the below mentioned features, but need to test them through some more before publishing on Play.
1) Renaming files and folder
2) Transfering files to the device, either one file at the time or you can transfer a zip and have it automatically extracted on arrival to the device.
3) Deleting files and folders
There's also a few minor changes, and bug fixes. All (apart from a few minor non-critical) strings are in the strings.xml, so if anyone feels up to translate to another language, drop me a note and I'll send you the xml needed.
The issue with non streaming is probably a mime type misconfiguration on my part, so I'll have a look at it for a coming release.
I know there's a lot of empty space when using the web interface on a larger screen, but I'm working more and more towards having the same interface fully functional for both stationary and smaller devices, there's probably a few glitches left for me to fix in that area though...
p.s. I'll have a look around for decent plugins for streaming to web browsers, if you know of any good ones, feel free to post them here and I'll edit my first post to include links.
Cheers guys, The update will be available later tonight or by tomorrow.
smooth and fast. works better than some of the others out there. looking forward to the update :good:
Feature request.
I can't close the app, it restart again and again.
downloading it now. I can't wait to give it a go tonight

Quicktime is one. VLC works sometimes.
This sounds really great but I am kind of afraid of using it in my company network.
I really would like to run it 24/7 in my private network to have access all the time to the content, but as soon as I arrive at work my mobile connects to the company wifi and would share it there. Is there any kind of password protection or anything similar?
Yeah of course I could disabled it manually, but I am lazy and I bet I will forget it sometimes.. and I guess tasker is no option for this, is it?
Or do I get it wrong that this 'service' is also working when the mobile is in deep sleep?!
Sorry for not publishing an update yet, I will have to postpone it one more day.
I just gave the thumbnail galleries a really great performance boost, and I want to make sure it's stable enough before
releasing it..

Yeah, in the currently released version there's a setting for username and password authentication, and yes, once the server is activated it will run until it's manually closed, even if you restart the device. Next up for implementation is also a way to restrict which networks the server is allowed to run on.
Thank you all for testing and posting feedback so far.
I'll get back to work on the update and report back once it's complete.
Cheers
Version 1.02
So I just published version 1.02, but it might take a few hours before the update has propagated through all the google servers as usual.
Here's the latest additions:
Version 1.02
- Transfer files to your device, (You can also upload a zip and have it extracted once it has finished uploading)
- Rename files and folders
- Delete files and folders
- Create new folders
- Performance boost in the gallery views
So it's more and more starting to look like a file manager.
ToDo
- Multiple file uploads
- Restrict app from running on certain networks, and have it automatically start on others
- A *bonus feature* named QuickShare for those who purchased the ad-free version..
(I'm not much for limiting functionality, I'd rather like to add a few bonuses and helpful features for those who help me in return)
Please, report bugs and feature requests and post your feedback, and thanks again for your time.
Came in right when an update is going, about to try this out thanks

Had another update going as mentioned above.. unfortunately both kids got the flue and chicken pox.. bahh I hate that things like this happens exactly the same time as me being in my most creative mood!
Anyway I expect to have the update ready in about a week, so post your bug reports now for me to be able to fix as much as possible!
Known issues:
- Not always restoring the scroll position after renaming a file/folder.
- Uploaded files doesnt show up in galleries immidiately.

@drraptor, thanks, I've heard about "force close" but not of "refuse close", I'll have a look at it.
@deja_vu: Yeah, but use the ctrl key for multi selection. Shift key will be implemented in a couple of weeks, once I've straightened out a few other issues, dealing with navigation, but thanks for taking the time to post. I appreciate it.
Thanks for all the helpfull feedback so far! Later, I'd better go and care for the critters, cheers!

This is awesome!
well done :good::good::good:
Only one suggestion:
Is it possible to add support for the Chrome Extension "Sway.fm Unified Music Media Keys"
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/swayfm-unified-music-medi/icckhjgjjompfgoiidainoapgjepncej
Many Streaming Services, such as 8tracks.com or just simple youtube-Playback work within the browser.
This extension allows the usage of the Macs Media Keys with those "in page playbacks".
It would be great to have an option to send the media controls just to the OS, without any other appliction selected. Then the aforementioned Chrome extension would capture the input and redirect it. I guess that would be the easiest way.
Thanks for your work!
PS: I liked the Tutorial. Easy and really helpful!
Awesome app, here's some stuff to make it perfect:
- Auto connection on app start.
- Only one button for Play/Pause would be good for some apps.
- Some applications has wrong capitalization.
Awsome work!!! works flowlessy. just maybe add in the tutorial that you need to add your username and password of the mac system. because i let access to everyone but i cannot connect until i added them!!!
where can we donate for a beer? thanks!
It's fantastic, thank you so much
Just a question, there is a way to control Apple TV also with this your new software? Ty in advance...

Great!
I can't seem to get it to work with any app. It clearly connects, and I can control the volume, brightness, and the other non-app specific functions, but not anything else. I've mainly been trying to get it to work with MPlayerX, but iTunes and Quicktime also did not work. Any ideas?
QuickTime right now is broken and I don't know why... itunes and MplayerX should work... On the next release I'm planning to implement some sort of loging system to make debugging easier...
Stay tunned, but I'd avise to restart computer maybe (idk, I'm just especulating) ... wich OSX version do you have?

Umm, OS X 10.8.2.
Really nice app! As I read in a comment, I'd love a fast forward/rewind option, instead of the skip by chunks (or if it's easier, a "go to *time*"). It can be implemented like the swipe to fast forward/rewind in the MacBook touchpad. Other than that, it's awesome (tested with VLC so far).
First i just want to thank you mushrom for this innovative tool for our beloved android devices and our macs .
Ill be using this mostly for Spotify, it works well but i cannot pause the player i can only play it. Other than that works great, i can raise the volume up and down and adjust brightness as well.
Im running a Macbook late 2009 edition with 10.6.8 SL if that helps at all. Thanks again
Works great. Thanks so much.
Is there any way to control the mouse or keyboard as well ala Unified Remote?
Also a fast forward and reverse button for MplayerX as well.
Thanks.
I just got a Mac yesterday. Not sure if possible but it would be great if this worked over Bluetooth. Thanks!
Awesome exactly what I have been looking for, would be great if you can add Plex support.

[APP][4.0+] Kore, a new Kodi/XBMC remote

Hi all,
Kore is a new Kodi/XBMC remote for Android, which aims to be simple, easy to use and beautiful.
Kore allows you to control your Kodi/XBMC, see what's currently playing and the current playlist, change subtitles and audiostreams, download your media locally, access your media library, check info about each item (supports movies, TV shows, music and addons), and more.
Kore is free and open source. The in-app purchase lets you buy me a coffee, so i can continue to improve Kore.
Some links:

Kore is new, and though I've tried my best to make sure it works, surely there are bugs lurking somewhere. Help me test it and report your experiences here or contact me.
Thanks

Thanks. Tried to follow Material design guidelines, though i took some liberties at some points. It also looks better on lollipop as there are some extra animations.
Looks promising. Long time a yatse user, but I'm giving this app a try. Beautiful and with all the features I normally use. Just a suggestion to make the send text option visible in the top bar with an icon, instead of hidden in the menu. Thanks

Will consider it. I know that having only one command under the menu doesn't make much sense, and that it should be a separate icon, but in the future i suspect that there will be more commands under the menu, so that's why i chose to include it right from the start.
will give it a try:good:
Android Wear
I recommend adding Android Wear support, after realizing Yatse does, I bought it immediately! Good Luck!
Looking promising but still lots of bugs. For example the obvious bug is when you click on the remote button (which is on the upper screen) doesn't do anything except "connecting" and may crush after a while.
when the app search for my kodi it doesn't find it although with yatse it does.
Hope to see bug fixes and many more features in the future.
Sweet!
Much improved from the old Official XBMC Remote app.
Thanks!
I can see this giving Yatse a run if we could get streaming integrated. Very cool that you made it open source.
It is just the start in terms of functions and bugs, but it is beautiful! Long time paid Yatse user and if you continue this way I will have to re-think which app I am going to use.
It works great, good job Also much better looking than the old official XBMC one.
I've tried Yatse also, but I just needed an app which had remote control and not all the other stuff, like libraries and streaming etc. And this seems to fit quite well
Hopefully you keep it light-weight and simple.

Just wondering would it be possible to bring Phone notifications with this remote? I use Kodi on Fire TV one thing I would love to see if notifications from my phone like texts etc.. would be awesome!
VERY NICE!! :good::good:
Suggestion :
Is it possible to add a "volume slider" just above, below or to the side of the remote buttons for a smoother and faster volume adjustment?
Great job!!

Looking good. Library loads quickly and scrolls smoothly.
The only bug I see is that some TV series do not show episodes under the season. Going to the episodes tab shows the seasons but clicking the season does nothing but toggle the little arrow. Forcing a refresh seems to allow you to see the episodes. Other series do not have this issue.
I am a long time Yatse user here and its nice to see another nicely designed XBMC/Kodi remote app.

I recommend adding Android Wear support, after realizing Yatse does, I bought it immediately! Good Luck!

Agree, though i need to get a moto 360 first, and i still haven't been able to justify that buy to myself.

Looking promising but still lots of bugs. For example the obvious bug is when you click on the remote button (which is on the upper screen) doesn't do anything except "connecting" and may crush after a while.
when the app search for my kodi it doesn't find it although with yatse it does.

Does it crash? Can you send the report to Google so that i can access the stack trace and check it.
Seems like it didn't connect to your kodi. Do you have a firewall and might it be preventing it from connecting. BTW, automatically finding kodi/xbmc is done through zeroconf, which can be tricky. Try hitting the "search again" button several times.

I'm not very keen on messing with notifications or, for instance, pausing videos when a call comes, because that requires some permissions which can be hard to justify (access notifications, access phone calls. On a remote app? why?). Yeah, i know, there are justifications and this is open-source and all, but i'm still not convinced (for now, i may change my mind).

Will consider it, though i'm not sure how to make it look good. I really need help from a designer...

Possibly the library syncing hadn't finished yet. After you add a media center, the syncing starts, and it can take a while. If you go to Movies/TV Shows/Music while it is syncing you'll get partial results, and seeing all the TV Shows, but not the episodes is a symptom of that. By the way, if you did a refresh while the other sync was running, you might get duplicate episodes... If thats the case just do another refresh.

now it didn't crush but still the connecting text. it only happens when genesis let me choose from a list, otherwise it works. How can i send you the report and get the report file?
about the automatic finding, i don't know what to tell you, everything in kodi settings is ok, i don't have firewall, yatse find my ip, but in kore i need to enter it manually.
really great on the nexus 6. i love the app, just a lot better than the official xbmc remote - maybe you should if kodi wants your app as official one
one little thing: there should be a possibility to abort the download of a movie to the smartphone, this will take a long time now
