I have THL W8S smartphone. When I bought it, it had a possibility to choose which SIM I can use for 3G service.
There is a quote from the device's guide:
'WCDMA cards can be identified in both SIM1 and SIM2 card slots and connected to 3G network.'
However, After I flashed the smartphone to a new firmware (from 102 to 106) I can use 3g only on SIM1. I tried flash back 102 firmware but it didn't help.
Please, help me with a good advice how I can get a possibility to switch 3g to SIM2. Have I change a modem driver? If yes, could you advice a correct modem driver etc.

Hello. I have a Lonovo P780 ideaphone, Just bought it new.
at first try, my sim cannot be detected (GSM) both slots, 2G or 3G, I tried other sims, nothing happen. I tried on other phones, the sim works well.
The phone can detect sim provider, but cannot detect any network. SIM contacts OK, Even when I tried to choose network manually, I cannot do it, it says network error. Whats the problem?
how too root the phone and/or flash cwm then newer stock rom? where to download?

Dear all, I have M8sd China telecom version. Flashed M8st Rom to try and working but no 4g. So tried pressing *#*#4636#*#* and selected USA Band. No signal detected. Factory reset and restored M8sd backup didn't help. Still without any signal. Please help!

I have enabled other band selection (other than USA and 800mhz) from the unlocking band in the Sony thread. Chosen Euro band and is working normally now.

i recently installed miui7 on my dual sim mtk based (mtk6592t) smartphone.
it does work very well, but the second sim slot lost the bands for umts/wcdma connections.
before the update, both the slots were capable to find and connect on 3g network
now only sim1 slot can connect to 3g
in mtk engineering mode i see that only these bands are now available on sim2 slot:
GSM MODE
EGSM900
DCS1800
PCS1900
GSM850
Instead on sim1 slot i have also the UMTS MODE:
WCDMA-IMT-2000
WCDMA-GSM-900
with stock rom, the UMTS MODE was available also on sim2 slot, and i could connect to 3g networks
How can i fix this problem?

I have Samsung galaxy J701F phone. it's Sim 1 slot not registering on "LTE/3G/2G" , "3G/2G", "3G Only" modes. but its correctly working on "2G Only" mode. Sim 2 slot working fine with same sim under any network mode. I have checked with many network providers. result is same. sim 1 only registering on 2G network. can anyone help me?
