Help, I can't update to the latest 44S due to my gallery's odex file not being the original stock one. Could someone give me the .odex and .apk files from 38R? Thanks

Sorry, but your file has a .p at the back. Renaming it still doesn't make my device recognise it. I've overwritten the .odex file in system/app but the update process didn't work.
Removing the '.p' extension should work fine. Hang on.

I had the Whatsapp folder on SD with msgstore.db.crypt, Whatsapp even recognizes it but when it restores from it, Nothing.
I tried this tool. But it says there's problem in the file.
Thankfully, I had a CWM backup from my prev. phone (GSIII) So I managed to get the 'msgstore.db' file from "Data/Com.whatsapp..." folder
Which is the decrypted version of the same file which seems to be in proper shape. So I wanted to know how can I turn it into a 'msgstore.db.crypt' So I can restore it back. (I have a new phone not yet rooted). Thanks.
Please delete this!
Just pasted the 'msgstore.db from CWM to databases folder in SD and deleted all old files!
RESTORE SUCCESSFUL!

i have a nexus 5 rooted running stock, i recently flashed a camera mod to fix the camera issues on the nexus 5, yday the 4.4.1 update came out so i tried using adb sideload, the phone received the package but it says installation aborted unexpected contents and libcameraservice.so
plz help
Fastboot flash the system.img from the 4.4 factory image. The system has to be stock for the 4.4.1 update to take. You changed it with the camera

Extract the file and then within there you'll find another zip file, extract that too. That's were you'll find the system.img.

This is all I get ... btw thanks for your help
the update has a series of patches. if any file that it modifies has already been modified it will abort... you should revert the camera mod before flashing...

Sorry, your image isn't going through on my phone. You should have a file that extracts to a flash-all.bat, some *.sh files, a zip file and some other stuff. The zip file should extract to a number of *-.img files with system.img being one of them

I downloaded the whole zip file from android police, extracted that like you said, and all i see is:
META-INF (File Folder)
patch (File Folder)
recovery (File Folder)
system (File Folder)
various "bootloader.*.img" 's
bootloader-flag (text document)
bootloader-flag-clear (text document)
radio.img.p (P file)
P.s. I also checked all of the folders and the folder within the folders and could not find a "system.img" or another zip file

Also, if I have a modified system or framework with anything such as Xposed, will flashing the system.img for the current android version always revert it so I can sideload the newest update? And if I have a custom kernel I would have to do the boot.img as well?

Yes, to both your questions. If you have a custom kernel you'll need to boot.img too
I made a backup using twrp on Nexus Black and copied it to the other nexus white, but when I run twrp on Nexus white and go to restore it doesn't show up. Any help?
did you put it in the right folder?
---------- Post added at 04:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:04 PM ----------
what i would do is run a backup on twrp, delete the backup it makes, and replace the file with the copied backup.

TWRP puts backups in a folder corresponding to your device's serial number. Two devices, two serial numbers. Two different backup folders under /TWRP.

This is the prevent damage.
Like flashing a backup with the EFS also checked will ruin your device rendering it wifi only.

My tablet downloaded the OTA for 5.0.1 but I am going to flash the full version instead. Where is the OTA located so I can delete it? I looked but could not find it. Thanks

You don't need to go manually delete it.
1. Go to Settings
2. About Tablet
3. System Updates
4. Touch the drop down menu that looks like 3 dots on the top right corner.
5. Tab "Clear update data"
That should do it for you.
do you know where the ota update is located though? i downloaded an update and i need to manually flash it with twrp, i've done it before and it worked like a charm. i had to do that because my tablet is rooted with twrp on it. but i looked in the /data/data/ folder for the folder com.nvidia.ota but it's not there and i think i remember finding it in another folder but i don't remember where. thanks for the help!

You will need the original /system/build.prop file as it may have modified your dpi
---------- Post added at 11:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:17 PM ----------
Or if you can retrieve your current /system/build.prop in twrp and upload here i can see what i can do

Not fixed
Only other way i can see you fixing it then is to Restore back to stock
You could try this:
- backup with TWRP
- wipe (if you do this with ODIN, make sure you use the same firmware)
- grab the build.prop from the wiped system
- restore from TWRP backup
- place the build.prop file in the restored system
No guarantee it will work though
And if I may ask, what's the name of the app you were trying to use?
