I tried looking for thread about this and couldn't find one. I seem to remember the dev of bump saying that once we had our own kernels, we'd be able to use any carrier's rom. Can anyone confirm this?

Actually, there is another thread with the same topic, its an older one but one of the new posts has someone saying he flashed a verizon rom with a kernel from the D850, and maybe the boot.img http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/help/flashing-carriers-roms-t2860521

I think you mean has anyone created a custom rom for it yet. And the answer is no. The phone has only been out for a couple of weeks. Give it some time for devs to cook something up.

Okay so this is my first post here, so let me know if this is posted in the right or wrong section. First of all I have an lg optimus t that is unlocked and that I use on AT&T at the moment. I am running a nightly cm7 rom with old baseband fix and everything runs perfectly fine. Just uesterday I tried to install rashed97's cm10 for p500 and everything worked except my network. Maybe you guys could suggest a rom that would work or know of a fix. Any help would be greatyl appreciated. By the way try to keep the answer simple as im sorta new to this stuff. Could someone answer quickly, I kinda wanted to get it up and running before I go back to school.

You need to be on the new baseband to be able to have network capabilities if you flash an ICS or JB rom on to the p500. there is a thread somewhere that tells you how to do so.

That's the thing it's a p500 rom and I'm not sure how to do so and if the new baseband will allow me to the access the network in my unique case. And isn't there a patch like a old baseband fix that will work I tried flashing the one I had but It didn't work.
Found it:

Follow it carefully though, it's a hassle when you brick your phone.
After you get the new baseband on your phone, you should have network capabilities...if not, try reflashing rashed's rom after wiping everything.

No don't... Just needs old baseband patch.
OldBB patch attached to this post. Flash via CWM after flashing ROM.
I wish y'all would stop pushing the use of KDZ. It's buggy software and the instructions leave a few things out. Things that will brick the device in question. There is always another way.

Now I installed the p500 version not p509, so could you help me find a patch that works becuase I have looked and don't know how to navigate the forums just yet. I tried using my old one from cm7 and it got me stuck in a boot loop. Oops you did thanks but will that different p500 and p509 Roms make a difference. And will this work on a jb rom.

I have a P509 too. I do the same thing for every ROM.
Since I am the maintainer of the FAQ's for the Optimus One devices, I will attach the Old baseband patch to the FAQ also

Sorry! It's just the way I did it, but I do realize there are better ways going about it. My bad.

Hello, the title is self explanatory, what Custom ROMs works with XT1033 even if only 1 of the two SIM manage to work (I don't even own 2 SIMs so I only care about 1).]
Can I try any ROMs? I remember reading it somewhere in here that only EU Roms were working, is that correct?
Thanks in advance...

Actually you missed my point, I don't want a BR version of any custom ROM, I want to use a custom ROM for US phone, like the Carbon ROM, Paranoid Android, and so on even if it means i'm going to lose the second SIM usability. Therefore that's why I asked if anyone with Brazilian Dual-Sim XT1033 could tell me if they used any of these ROMs and had success with it, anyways, thanks for the link but already had found it.
Best regards.
[EDIT]
Nvm, please mods lock or delete this thread, found the solution looking a bit further into users posts (not using search cause it didn't returned any satisfying results), if anyone needs it, PM me.
Thanks and sorry for this thread...

Yes, you can still ROOT/S-OFF all M8 models using Sunshine I believe. You can also install most if not all of the ROM's available for it, including PA. To my knowledge most of the ROM's in the main M8 section are compatible with the carrier versions of the phone and if they aren't then they say so somewhere in the threads, someone can correct me on the "most of" part if i'm wrong.

Thanks for you quick response.
I was looking at how-to's for flashing a custom ROM onto my new phone (which I rooted with TowelRoot), and it said you need ND8 firmware to flash an ND8 ROM. However, I can't find this anywhere. Can someone help me out? I'm looking to flash LiquidSmooth, eventually, not for any particular reason other than I don't really like the default and it was recommended to me.

Unless it's a typo, the Sprint Galaxy S5 does not have an ND8 version. Also, AFAIK, there isn't a LiquidSmooth rom for the Sprint S5 either. You posted over on MOAR, so I'm sure with a little more information on what you've done so far (and more reading on your part), we'll get you up and running.

Yeah, I realized after I posted this that I was still in Galaxy S3 mode and that it's probably different for S5. I've done as much reading as I could find, but it didn't really help me too much. A lot of terminology that I didn't understand.
This thread can be closed, if'n that would please the people.
