Hi,
Last night I flashed Inpiration Rom V18 Kitkat, and boy isn't it really something?
Just fell in love with the thing...
Problem was when I tried to connect my BT-501 Headset.
Bluetooth connects, pairs, but one "funny" thing happens: I start Google Music (or any other player, for that matter) and the music is directed to the GT S-7500 Internal Speaker while the calls I make are directed to the BT-501...
Today I flashed the Omarilzz Mod No More Words, and bluetooth and everything works, but I do not like too much the layout.
It's ok and all that, but not my piece of cake...
Any good words on what to do?
Thanks

Anyone else not getting sound on a call from Viber? People can hear me...I can't hear them.
Hi,
This is a member of Viber's development team.
@spielnicht - what device do you have? Do you have stock or custom ROM?
Which Viber version?
Thanks in advance.

Viber no sound on GARMIN ASUS A10
Hullo,
same problem here. I got a GARMIN ASUS A 10 with Android 2.1-update1 and VIBER is 2.1.2 version
Many thanks for any help
leo
This problem can have 2 different reasons:
1. The device is not officially supported by Viber. Unfortunately, that's the case of GARMIN Asus...
2. Sometimes Custom ROMs may be the source of this problem.
Android GARMIN-ASUS: Why Not?
Hi there and thank you very much for your reply.
To be very honest with you, I don't see clearly the point why it isn't.
I know many, many GARMIN-ASUS happy users here in Europe who would be very happy to use your excellent peace of App along with all the other working ones...Actually, it is the first time I'm able to fully install an App from the Android Market which is not properly working on my device...with no prior information :-( ...By the way, the device is (apparently) working fine with all other Viber features (especially texts, which is already quite nice)...and if there are no special (technical? commercial?) reasons, I wonder why you cannot work out this GARMIN-ASUS related sound issue as well...
Have an excellent day from Europe!
leo
Well,
As a company, we naturally have limited resources. We wish we could develop full compatibility for all devices out there, but unfortunately we can't.
We're looking at the global market shares of Android devices, and GARMIN-ASUS is one of the least popular ones (even though we acknowledge that it is not a "bad" device, etc.)
I didn't say we would neglect it, I just said it might take sometime before we attend to test it fully. In the meanwhile, if indeed you know so many Viber users who are longing for full compatibility, you may gather them and jointly open many ticket to our support team. The more tickets, the bigger chances that we will prioritize this task
Here's the link to our support team: http://support.viber.com
no entry for device compatibility or similar
Well,
I'd like to do that but, apparently, the wizard for support queries doesn't allow me to do that (I mean, either to me or to the thousands of other Garmin-Asus all around ) as, apparently, there is no- entry for such an issue.
leo
You can find a way to simply open an individual ticket and then write your request (again - please note that only if it is a joint request by many users, then it will have effect).
Hello, Thank you Viber Team for replying to the issues in this thread.
I recently (yesterday) installed Viber on my Galaxy S2 X - Telus (Canada) and it installed without issue. I can see friends and call / msg them but when I connect I can't hear any audio and they can't hear me as well. I have tried using both 3g/4g and wifi and received the same result.
Have you experienced this issue before? Is there a way for me to pull a log to determine the error. I'm just guessing but it seems lke the signalling is working properly and there is a problem establashing the rtp stream.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. I look forward to using this kick ass app

I see you also sent me this via private message, so please see my response there

Thanks for opening the ticket on our support site, our team will contact you back shortly.
The no-sound issue on some Galaxy devices is still being investigated by our dev team, and that is why tickets like the one you opened are important to us.

Hello, I got Samsung Galaxy S, custom ROM... rc4, Android version 4.0.3, VIber version 2.1.4
Everything is great but people can't hear me !
a few days ago I had another problem. I could not get the code, but it resolved after one day when I installed the second time, and now this....
I hope you help me about it ... Thanks
@dzgoran -
Might be a problem with the Custom ROM. Have you tested Viber on Stock ROM? Same problem?
why? i dont know.. I was downloaded from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
tnx...
You'll need to contact that ROM's developers. Unfortunately we can't afford to fully support all Custom ROMs out there...

I understand now.
Please make sure of the following:
1. Your C2DM service is working properly. You can check it with Android developers themselves, and also make sure a Google Account is associated with your phone.
2. Do Viber's notifications work fine when your phone is not locked?
3. Have you tested this issue when connecting to different WiFi networks?
Hi !
I'm a newb on this forum, just got my first android device : a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inches...
I installed Galaxian-Soup's AOKP-Milestone 5 (as explained on this thread) and it almost works : the only problem so far has been that the microphone seems to be off...
Is this a known bug of AOKP ? I searched the web for this and found that some people have been having this problem on other devices...
Could anyone please help me ? I like the features of AOKP (specially the Rom Control thingie and the ability to hide the navigation bar), so I'm not really happy to go back to stock...
Thanks !
David.
Post issues with the ROM'S in the thread for the ROM's (the one you linked to)
Read the thread - multiple people have posted about this and it is a known issue.
Thanks for this (very constructive and helpful) comment.
I can't post in the original thread because (as I mentionned) I'm a noob on this forum and the rules forbid me to post in the developer areas...
Also, I have read the posts you are referring to (although after having posted this one). Let me rephrase my question :
Is this a known bug of AOKP or is it specific to the GT2 ?
Is there any way to get the (excellent) Rom Control thingie without flashing AOKP (and therefore keeping my mic working) ?
Cheers,
David.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, my device is HTC Desire S, and I'm just running a custom rom, Cyanogenmod 9. Also I forgot to mention that I had the same issue with Cyanogenmod 7, I thought there was a bug or something with CM7 but now I'm having the same issue with CM9. I tried to inform the developers, but I don't have the permission to write on their thread, I'll be glad if you could assist with this, thank you.
Hi,
We apologize for the confusion, we only now noticed that you're running a Desire S with CM9.
It sounds like the typical Custom ROM issue - some custom ROMs alter the microphone definitions of your phone, causing Viber not to recognize the phone's microphone properly. That is the reason that Viber cannot transmit your sound to the other side.
Please note that at this stage we don't officially support custom ROMs with Viber. Running Viber on a custom ROM results in various side effects (sometimes total lack of functionality), but we can't afford to support all custom ROMs out there. We are continuously working to adapt Viber to more and more ROMS, but meanwhile - you might want to contact the ROM developer (or other users in XDA community) for further support - they may be able to resolve this issue.
Could you please list what microphone settings viber expects?
This would help in fixing the rom's.
Tapatalked from a Desire S waiting for Kernel 3 sources. WAKE UP HTC!!!!!!
This issue has already been discussed (and solved, for some users with certain phones and ROM versions) by XDA users, and ourselves, in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25865775#post25865775

I have the same problem for my phone (Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500D) and I even can't find my phone among the list of supported devices although I'm using the original rom installed by Samsung (Gingerbread 2.3.6). is there a way or a tip about how to have viber fully functional?

Wrong forum dude. This is the HTC Desire S forum. Please either post in the correct forum for your device, or contact Viber directly.
Hi there
I have Viber installed on my Android 2.3.5. The Viber version is 2.2.2. Other people can ring me but I cannot hear them. If I ring someone they can hear me, but I cannot hear them.
This is very frustrating because my son is overseas. I am sure this is a simple problem. Any ideas?

Hi,
What phone are you using?
Do you have a Custom ROM installed on your phone?
Viber problem, not same, but similar
Hi,
i have very similar problem, running i9300, cyanogenmod 10.2 (had same problem for all CGM roms for half year back) -
if i or anyone makes a call, i can hear them, but they cannot hear me. then we close connection, and dial again and then its ok. Allways have to call twice, if contacts call me or i call them, everytime.
Really dont know whats the problem, buts as far i read here, it may not be issue with microphone drivers, cause if we make call again, it just works perfectly.
Any thoughts?
Hi all,
It seems as if this is one of those eternal questions that nobody can answer completely. I just cant get the music player (either LG Music player or Google play music) to stop autoplaying when i connect to the bluetooth in my car.I have a LG G2. I called Verizon and LG and neither of them have a solution. I figured this forum was the next good bet to either have a solution or a workaround. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for this annoyance.
Thanks![/B]
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can see you've asked the same question here:
[Q] How to stop autoplay when connecting to bluetooth in car
Please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information regarding the creation of duplicate posts/threads. We would have just directed you to post your question there anyway, so I'll close this thread and let the good people of the G2 section help you out.
Thread closed, thanks.
In kitkat the bluetooth is like a rock, no problems.
In MM 6.0-3 the bluetooth randomly disconnects.
I found that this is a bug in MM, and that is fixed in later versions.
I had tried to update the bluetooth sharing app but the bluetooth stops working.
I had see that existis a folder Bluetooth in my ROM, but in others I have found that exists a second called BluetootExt.
How do I update the BT sharing app?
Someone knows a fix for the bluetooth tether disconnections?
