I think I'm dumb, but usually this option is under "Display", but I don't see to see it. Anyone know where the option rotate screen is at?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this thread -_-

top right. Landscape or portrait
The options I have in this drop down are. Brightness adjust (slider) wifi, bluetooth, LTE, Airplane mode, flashlight, location, case screen. Dat ****?
For me it is under Display. It is called "When device is rotated" and has two options: Rotate the contents of the screen and Stay in portrait view. Using this once will add the notification shortcut.
Don't have that option either under display.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bznni9vMKM1DZXpUMHdDR3lsOEE/view?usp=sharing - those are my options.
Lol, odd.

I use my Nexus kinda like a glorified pmp for now (I don't have a sim card), so it runs in airplane mode 24/7 with wifi active. Why would the dialer process be so high when looking at the battery stats?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

EDIT: I found something that said it could be the "turn to silence" feature causing runaway Dialer usage. I looked and mine was indeed checked. I turned it off and will see if that changes anything tomorrow.

Where is that turn to silence option located at?
I don't have this issue, but sounds like a good tip to share when the question inevitably pops up again...

Sorry for the late reply, forgot i started this thread.
It's in Call Settings. Look for "Turn over silence" under Advanced Settings. For what it's worth, it didn't solve my issue. Dialer is still sitting around 17%
Bump.... Any help?
Any interest in combining threads?

I rotate the phone 180 degrees to let you see another side
How do you judge it? I think mine isn't that bad.

you need to put on something that is black background to see it. i can see it across the top and bottom , i can also see it very similair on my tv if i look at it the same way looking up into it. its there adn you can see it but its not that noticable unless your looking for it on mine. the pics the other poster showed were definaltey worse than mine. This does not make me regret the purchase at all.
i cant really see it at all when its the standard white bar across the top on froyo.
How about this one? Get "draw!" from market.
I have to put a dot at the center in order to take picture.
Added a pic of MT4 under similar situation (using draw!), but since the screen is less sensitive, I have to draw a small circle instead of the dot.

If you have to ask if it's bad....it's not bad.
How do I disable this horizontal swipe in the end of the last screen, on stock 4.4.2 (with Xposed Framework) Is there such a setting which would disable or maybe with a help of some Xposed Module ?
Thanks

If you're talking about a blank page after your last page in your launcher.. that's a bug in the google launcher. To get rid of the page, drag an app from your dock onto it, and then drag it back into your dock. It'll go away after that.
Just repeat that any time it comes back.
I dont think so that you can disable it mate !
questions go here(q&a) http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help not into general. people dont look to answer question in general.
"white tinted" page
I am talking about that "white tinted" page ,, when you swipe and there i no more pages to swipe

I know nothing can be done about that as far as I know
I hated that too.
So... I use nova launcher... which "lock fixed" the homescreen when you only have one.
hmmm
hmmm, ok,,, I would think it's some simple option which can be disabled easily from the settings or maybe trough some xposed module ,, I guess I'll post this "issue" under GravityBox thread ,, maybe they can add this option, to disable!
Does anybody know where i can find the Display size option? i want to make it smaller but i only found the font size.
Like this one in xiaomi devices.

If you're referring to DPI, it's located in Settings\More Settings\Developer options look for Drawing and Minimum Width within Drawing section. You enter your numbers in there. Just remember the phone screen DPI is 388. Never experimented with it but give it a try and let us know. Don't know if the screen with default to an acceptable number if you go overboard with your numbers.

Thanks. thats exactly what i wanted. My default was 360 on Nex S global and i went to 403 and everything seems to be working. The stock camera beauty icon position is abit off but everything is working. No app crashes.
Now i can see more stuff on screen with everything smaller
also im not sure if its a placebo effect but my fingerpring is working better now or maybe im getting the hang of it.
Good to know you can go higher. I'll give it try and see if I get the finger scanner placebo effect too.
Two questions regarding "turn on screen for notifications" functionality on stock firmware OOS 11.0.8.12.KB05BA
In setting Display - Ambient display there is a 'New notifications' option, this option works only with Horizon Light
Is there a possibility to wake screen for notifications, but without color stripes on the sides?
Using search in settings you can find 'Wake screen for notifications' option.
Even if 'Ambient display' in setting is OFF, 'Wake screen for notifications' option can be turned ON, but screen doesn't wakes for new notifications.
Is it "an old" menu option that developers forgot to delete or am I missing some options to make it work?
My goal is to find a way to turn screen on for new notifications without fancy Horizon Light effects.
I'm using an app called Wake Up Screen and it works perfectly for me.

thank for your suggestion
for now I've decided to stick with aodNotify
it doesn't wake up the screen, but does a much better job (in my case) - emulates LED-light that I was missing so much
at first, while setting up this app, it's on top in statistic draining battery, but the next day it disappears from the list
