Basically, you just need to decide if you want 4.3 or 4.4 custom rom then select the one you need from the link.

If your on 4.3 and did the update via OTA your on a locked bootloader. You CANNOT run custom roms other than TW bootloader locked roms via safestrap
@buhohitr you've always been helpful in your posts but the question that wasn't asked if this 4.3 update was taken via OTA they can't take a custom rom

You could get better help if you would have included your country and the firmware or build number that your current using.
With that said.... goto samfirmware and download the latest firmware for your device. Then use odin to flash the firmware, you should then have latest update and you can then root again.
There are other methodes but I think this is the least complicated.

my note details is added
I know your method and used it a lot via mobile odin, but I used to keep the
root from options, and iam not sure if the new firmware will wipe my note or not if I flash it via odin pc
I read that flashing the stock recovery will unroot it.
I read that flashing the stock recovery will unroot it.
Flashing stock rom removes root .
But latest updates are more likely on XDA or sammobile before Kies or OTA .

I see your updated info except for country that you live in. You may have the newest for your country.
Yes, flashing a new firmware with PC Odin will remove root,.
I have not done it in a while but from what I remember all data remains in tack, just don't do a factory reset.
I do believe that there is a way to install a factory firmware in mobile Odin and keep root but I have never done that method.

unrooting will open OTA update to update the device with 70-80 mb rather than downloading 1 gb

I am currently running ICS 4.0.4*official firmware* on my SC-03D[Japan NTT Docomo Galaxy S II LTE], a Japanese version of the Samsung GT-I9210 ~Galaxy S II LTE, it's currently unlocked(using Z3X) and I am planning to flash a jelly bean ROM ----- so here are the questions that bugs me:
~Can i flash GT-I9210 jelly bean(4.1.2) ROM from sweden? One Ive seen in samsungis.com
~Do flashing this ROM will keep my device unlocked?
Note: It's an official *.tar file, trying to flash with Odin.
I can't flashed because I have this worry that it might cause my device to be bricked.
Sc-03d cm11
Kinda late reply but oh well. Better late than never.

I don't know. You could probably flash it if the partition layout on that phone is the same as the SC-03D.

If by unlocked you mean SIM free then yes. It should remain sim free.

Unless you pull the cable while flashing or unless you flash some images from another device, then your device shouldn't brick. Luckily Samsung phones have the download mode which lets you recover from errors.
Instead of doing all that just flash CM11. Flash HomuHomu's CWM Recovery using ODIN/Heimdall, then use CWM to flash the CM11 and SuperSU zip's.

Download this full stock firmware http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23134718111254196 then use Odin to flash, once done take the OTA and it should be fine. BTW, once upgrade to 4.3 your bootloader will be locked permanently meaning you can't flash custom firmware (rom/kernel/recovery), the only thing you can do is root with saferoot. can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758

If you still want to install custom firmware then DO NOT TAKE THE 4.3 OTA UPGRADE. If you decided to flash custom rom then after flash stock MF1, you need to unlock bootloader, root, flash recovery then flash custom rom (most custom rom already rooted so you probably don't need to root). Your phone status will be CUSTOM.

Haviing only used Odin when I initially rooted my phone a year ago, I need to ask some specifics on your instructions.
1. Do I boot the phone into Download mode when flashing?
2. Do I flash it by selecting the PDA box and selecting the file there?
3. This will make my phone basically "out of the box" and back to stock recovery, correct?
Thanks in advance.

The stock root rom is probably the most stable one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2591895 just follow the instruction on this link.
Hello there tablet forum.
I have a quick question pertaining to the P-5113 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 edition. As stated in the title, I am trying to update my tablet directly from Touchwiz Jellybean to Lollipop 5.1.1. My question is if I need to take some sort of special precaution prior to updating.
The reason for this being that when I was dealing with my S5 update procedure, I needed to flash a different version of the bootloader due to the system getting re-partitioned as a result of the update. Is that the case here or can I just flash directly to Lollipop through CWM or TWRP?
Thanks!

If you have android version 4.1.2 then there's no need to update boot loader, make sure you have the latest twrp by android andi(not from rom manager
and yeah make sure you have the latest gapps made for 5.1.1 not for 5.0
Hi!
I have a Samsung Galaxy SM J100H with KitKat 4.4.4 that I would like to unlock the bootloader on.
The only tutorial that I can find online tells me that what is given will only work for a stock android ROM but not a custom like my Samsung touchwiz.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!
Sadly to see you've got no reply from anyone on here! I am also having the kind of your phone and I really need to unlock bootloader. Although I already have root on it.

I don't think it matters that you're on a custom ROM, custom ROMs don't change your bootloader, it still has the stock bootloader you had before you flashed the custom ROM.
Either way, you can flash back to full stock via Odin then follow the instructions you found. Then flash TWRP the flash SuperSU.zip in TWRP to root, then you can flash custom ROMs.
