Hi, I hope I'm not posting in the wrong forum.
I'm searching for a music radio app that could perhaps recommend songs to me not only based on the genre but by whom I'm listening to most recently, and recommend hit songs by that artist. Even better if it could do this while streaming music, basically a music radio that's personalizing a playlist for me simultaneously. Does any such app exist yet? Thanks!

Am I just blind or is there no possible way to search/type in name of my songs in the standard HTC Music player?
I have tried other Music players, but have not find one that looks as sweet as the HTC player, and none with search.
Ive got quite a few songs on my device and it is annoying when i need to scroll like an idiot to get to songs that starts on T- or T-, especially when I'm driving.

I'm looking for a free music streamer that only plays the artist I create a station for. Don't want it mixing other similar artist. I'm currently using I heart radio , which I like but i don't want to mix in deferent artists. Any recomendatios will be help full. Thanks
Use pvstar or another youtube app and play an artist channel.
I don't think there's any out there that works like this, the only reason these services can function is by acting like a radio where you can't specifically choose a song or artist.
New to android, please can someone recommend a half decent music player that uses folders rather than album/ songs/ artists etc.
Rocket Music Player is fantastic in my opinions. It supports folders as well the conventional way of using artists/song etc.
I use the default music player, or MXPlayer for most local music.

i'm searching for a music player for my defy with cyanogenmod 7.2 that supports sort-tags in mp3. that means i can sort the music regardless from the shown artist or album name. this is the feature is miss the most since my good old ipod is broken. the only useful player i've found is the rocket player that can sort albums by the year tag, but not my the album tag.
i've tried some popular players such as poweramp, but no player has the feature i'm searching for.
can anyone help me? i read that android can't read this id3-tag so the player installed on android ignore that tags. but is there no player that can read that tags without android's "help"?
Xenoamp is meant to support them, although they never actually worked for me and I've since moved on. Worth trying, though, as it's a good app and the dev is very cool.

Have you tried GoneMAD Music Player? There is a free trial version available, so you can check it out.
Furthermore, you might want to try MyPlayer++ from XDA member DMDP. He is a great developer who actually listens to user feedback and implements new feature requests. If his player does not support sorting by your preference, ask him if he can implement it.
I've been doing a lot of research on the topic, and GoneMAD indeed seems to be the best option so far. I wish they would add a desktop version and sync. I'd be all over that .
When I try to find a music player which have shake-to-swtich function and contain no
uneccessay functions，I only can find some with advertisement banner. Or It contains
a lot of useless functions like music visualization, lyrices and etc. After a long
period of searching, I finally find a suitable music player. However, when I was listening
music on the street, the music player will always shake-to-swithc music when I was walking:crying:.
It is very annoying. Lastly, rather than waiting for a suitable music player, I try to make
my own music player. So, Terse music play is born.:highfive:

Idea with shaking is interesting, and UI is neat
But it's way too minimal: no playlists, grouping by artist or album, and album arts. Also, notification while playing is not a native player notification, so it doesn't shows up on a lockscreen
