What were you trying to do? Being that your on a locked bootloader you can only flash safestrap and BL roms

VRUDNE1 4.4.2. And here's a separate link as well.

soft bricked my s3
I have a galaxy s3 i535 which was upgraded to kitkat 4.4.2. I was attempting to revert back to 4.1 when i bricked my phone. I can get into odin mode, but I cannot get any files to complete with odin. upon trying to flash the 4.1 rom i got a screen which had a picture of a phone....yellow triangle exclamation....computer and told me to use a repair something or other. I needed a phone so i pulled the main board out of another s3 and was able to get a working phone. I am able to boot into download mode.
any help would be great. I am a noob. and im pretty sure that I didnt have usb debugging enabled when i attempted to flash the rom.

You cannot downgrade once your on the locked bootloader. All you can do is flash TW bootloader locked roms at this point. You'll have to just Odin back to stock

SCH I-705] SGT2 7" Boot Loop. Stock firmware? Bricked

I have had no luck searching for the stock firmware of the SCH i705 model and cannot get it to boot.
After following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885558 Root tutorial, i got to step 2, and after doing the bootloader part, my tab froze at the Odin screen..
tried to reboot into recovery mode, got it for a few tries, and it gave me errors like
"E: could not find.. . ... .system
E: failed to mount,,,.,..,cache/blah"
then the device went into a boot loop and now I powered it off.
EDIT: now when I try booting into recovery, it shows the blue loading text, then goes into odin mode with the message
"Could not do normal boot.

At what state was your tab when you tried flashing aboot? This is supposed to be flashed when you have booted into android normally. Unfotunately, Verizon has not released stock firmware so this is all we have. You wouldn't even be able to flash a stock recovery or boot image that I've dumped because it's not signed by VZW.
Try going through Step 1b in the root thread again and flash the stock rooted ODIN system image.
Another question, when you're in ODIN mode, is the screen in portrait or landscape mode? Portrait = stock, locked bootloader; landscape = unlocked bootloader.
The thing you don't seem to understand is : you HAVE to reflash your tablet using ODIN. It's not that hard. Just follow the second method here (you don't need to download android SDK)
copy this in your navigator bar : rootzwiki . com/topic/37272-verizonsch-i705-root-for-all-current-firmware/ ( delete space around the dot)
Or here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885558
Plus, your tab will be rooted.
You're welcome.
P.S : This limitation of URL is annoying as hell.
P.S 2: Oh I see my friend up here has posted the same tutorial. Don't know which one is first. Will link to his thread.

The tutorial on rootzwiki is mine I never go over there so revosfts posted it there.
Gg. My tablet stopped powering on. Doesn't respond at all now.
Nice..
Chances are your battery is dead. Plug it into the wall for a few hours.
First off, i appreciate your help, but I am pretty sure my device is done-zo. lol
Its been plugged for at least 5 hours, still unresponsive.
Do you think I have a chance bringing in an absolutely dead (brand new) tablet to the Verizon store?
It was purchased last month so it is probably covered under warranty.. If not there is always the mfc. warranty
If it doesn't respond at all then I'd say it's safe to take it in.

Verizon won't be able to do a damn thing, I had the same issue and had to ship it to Samsung, I'm still waiting for them to reflash it and see if they charge me any money, because according to them it might be out of warranty
(obviously I didn't tell them that I was rooting and flashing a new rom)

J1 OTA Update

I rooted and unlocked using odin as described and wanted to get samsroms cleanrom1 but need to be on the J1 base. Can't seem to find it so any help would be appreciated. Thanks a ton.

Yeah i had tried that last night and just saw a bunch of folders and files... none that matched the mp5 . Am i doing something wrong? It doesn't seem like the same process i had to do before.
So the original post says to copy Patch to device then flash it from recovery. Do i save the whole folder to the sdcard or just the patch file or what. Im still unsure this is the correct download. Has anyone confirmed it? Thanks

You download the 'J1 OTA Update - Pre-Rooted.zip' to your SD Card and flash it in CWM... You don't do anything to any folder or file. Don't open the 'J1 OTA Update - Pre-Rooted.zip'. Just download it to your SD card and flash it.
Gotcha, thanks for the help. You guys are great. Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas!

Can you get back into odin/download mode? If you can then redo the guide to root/unlock/custom recovery via odin. Make sure to follow the steps exactly and only use pda. I assume you are using this guide HERE to root and unlock JellyBean.

[Q] Help with soft brick please!

So I messed up my sch-i535. I tried rooting it because Ive done it before and I really wasn't paying attention to what the latest update did to it. I've tried different things with Odin and different firmware. And apparently the boot loader isn't flash able but I can get into download mode. Is there away to fix it I've browsed around and haven't found a fix. I'd appreciate All the help I can get please and thank you.

From the sound of it the phone is on 4.4.2 NE1 and it's got a locked bootloader. There are no custom recoveries or custom roms. Post a screen shot of the about phone screen
At this point you would have to Odin back to stock

[Q] Softbricked sch-I535?

Samsung galaxy SCH-I535, rooted, stock rom (im pretty sure it was 4.3), Power button removed. The other day I was driving, I had my phone sitting on the passenger seat, checked the time everything was fine on the phone. Checked my phone again about 20 mins later and nothing, black screen. I knew the battery was full and I didn't have a charger to turn it back on (no power button) so I forgot about it until I got home. When I got home I went to turn it on ( hold down home + vol down while plugging it in.) pops up into download menu and I hit cancel and back to battery charge mode. I recently changed out the screen (after I removed the power button) so i thought maybe some loca glue got into the power button contacts on the board. I tore it down and thoroughly cleaned out my frame and board, put back together and now it will boot into download mode, hit cancel, popps up with samsung galaxy s3, then the samsung splash screen, then the verizon splash screen, then back to black screen/charge mode at that point every time. I can get into download mode but if I try to get into recovery it just vibrates every 5 sec or so on a black screen until I release a button then goes to charge mode. I am downloading stock firmware I535VRUCNC1 right now and plan to flash with ODIN am I on the right track or could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks to all XDA has saved me multiple times in the past this is the first time I have posted and I'm sure you guys can help a noob out again THANKS ALL!!
Ok So I tries to flash both ML1 and NC1 also with a re-partition via ODIN 3.07 with a fail every time.... Finally got ML1 to flash but now it bootloops at the galaxy s3 logo again.... frustrated still cant get into recovery
If Odin is failing every time your more than likely on the locked bootloader. If so you cannot flash any custom roms which is why it isn't working
Sent from my Cataclysm Nexus 5
I am not flashing any custom roms.... both of the roms I am trying to flash (NC1 and ML1) are both stock 4.3 roms....
I'm pretty sure I am on a locked bootloader I never did anything with safestrap or never tried a custom rom. on a side note when I used to boot my phone up it showed a picture of an unlocked lock and said custom under it (never sure why it did this unless maybe rooting with towelroot) but it no longer shows this icon when boot(looping)

If your on NC1 you cannot flash ML1 as it's the previous rom/modem. You'll have to flash back to NC1 using Odin. Even if it is stock what your trying to do will not work

4.4.2 flashed successfully.... still bootlooping tho... when I try to get into recovery it popps up in blue "booting recovery" then it goes back to the galaxy s3 logo then back to charge mode... Im not sure but it seems to be the power button causing this since it is the power button you hit to execute commands in recovery (I think)... but since the power button is removed it looks like im back to finding a new board
