In snapchat my note 10.1 GT-N8013 will delete any drawing on the lower half of my picture. It will let me draw on that portion but the minute I let go it deletes anything below a certain line. I have tried deleting and re installing Snapchat and that didn't seem to work. also when i flip the picture and it rotates the screen it wont let me draw on the same part of the picture. So no matter what way my tablet is facing whatever I draw on the lower half of the picture is deleted. I posted a picture to show what it looks like and where on the image it cuts off. Any tips or similar issues?

Hello,
Is there a tweak or possibilty or tool to let the camera app record video without the camera app visible onscreen. The app must be visible onscreen or it stops recording :/
Let's say you want to do other things on your phone and record video in the meantime. Now every time I leave the camera application (without closing it) and let's say phone someone then the camera stops recording .
Thx in advance.
Anyone has an idea?
iteresting thing.. i dont found any else app.
Sorry i cant help..
I do have another question I've been meaning to ask tho...
Has any one else noticed this..
When you have camera app open ready to take a picture, if you press the black between buttons on the right hand side it makes a Grey dotted box flash around the picture, noticed it helps with the picture taking time, almost like a "hold button half way to prime a digital camera"
Am I tripping or am I right??
Just not heard of any one else ever mentioning this...
Can't help either

I think you mean the frame showing what is actually being captured on your picture (instead of the whole 'wide' view you have before taking the picture).

Sorry you've confused me..
When I open the camera app, it opens full screen with 3 icons,
Flash, shutter(take picture) and settings..
I presume every one else is the same (exept possibly cooked roms)..
When you press settings tab and all the settings are around the screen pop up..
Press the gap between the shutter button and the settings button(a dotted box will show clearly around the middle flashing for a couple of seconds)
Now take a picture, measure the time it takes from you pressing and the picture capture..
Now do the same as you normally would.. Press the shutter..
Just seems way faster with the flashy box going than without.
Can you tell me why?
friendly bump.
I am wondering what it does as well.
I'm sorry, it took me some time to figure it out.
I think this is described in the manual on page 240.
Particulary at the footnote:
'Note If you tap outside the effective focus area, a white box appears to indicate the area where you can use Touch Focus.'
Is this what you mean?
When launching the camera app, there is a big black screen where the view of what is coming through the camera should be. I can still take pictures and it shows what I have taken in the bottom left hand corner but it means i have to take pictures 'blind'.
Anyone know how to fix this?
When recording video on the slide I have two vertical black rectangle boxes either side of the video when uploaded to Youtube. It's roughly 1/3 video in the middle with 1/3 either side as a black rectangle.
I've tried all the different screen resolutions with no luck.
Am I missing something blindingly obvious?
Do you have an example?
I have never seen mine do that.

My bad : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sclRpcXMRw0
That wasn't shot with my phone but that's the same result.
I've been through every setting I can find and can't seem to figure it out.
If someone has their video recorder working correctly and could post their settings i'd be most grateful.
Your holding the phone wrong. It is designed to be held horizontally not vertical. If you hold it that way you cant get the aspect ratio correct when it is processed for YouTube causing those black spaces your talking about.
Here is one I did holding it correctly.

Thanks for the reply, but when I do as you suggest I get the black boxes top and bottom instead of left and right.
Are you uploading the video directly to YouTube? Are you using a program or something to process it before you upload? If your using something to edit the video first just make sure to set the Aspect ratio correctly. I use Cyber Link Power Director and it automatically selects the correct aspect ratio. It uses 16:9. As far as uploading directly I am not sure I have ever done that actually but you would think YouTube would get it right when the video is processed. I will have to try and see for myself.
I had this issue with the regular camera, not just the camcorder, but not as extreme..
Here's a pic I took for a Wikia I'm on..

As you can see, there's a black bar on the right side. It only happened once so who knows..?
p.s., I've taken hundreds of photos with the camera so it's not a "holding it wrong" issue
When I take a picture and slide to the right to view the picture it doesn't show my most recent shot. It shows the shot I just took two pictures behind. So basically I have to slide to the right two pictures to see the picture i just took. If I delete the two pictures, it works fine for a bit, then this starts happening again. Anyone else experiencing this?

Try fiddle with timezone detection settings.
I used to have this problem on my n4 sporadically and seems most if the time happened with photo spheres stuck in a future time. Toggle the timezone detection setting a bit and see if it goes better?

Hello everyone, im not 100% sure do i make it in right topic.. if not im so sorry than. So, about my problem. When i go to Instagram and open Instagram story than its happens that like screen resolution is changed and i dont get it that screen on whole screen resolution. I get smaller screen resolution and it appears big black space on down. Like just empty black space and that is it. And bcs all that, than every my story is like zoomed in or croped and i must zoom out and configure to look normally. I cant have normal resolution screen on Instagram, and same thing is with Snapchat. But Snapchat is not that much important, Instagram is important so. If anyone know what is problem or had already same situation like me, please let me know if somebody know solution how to solve that. Everyone can see problem on picture. Its so anoying thing..
