[Q] Stock Camera doesnt show image. - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

When launching the camera app, there is a big black screen where the view of what is coming through the camera should be. I can still take pictures and it shows what I have taken in the bottom left hand corner but it means i have to take pictures 'blind'.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Camera question

Hello,
Is there a tweak or possibilty or tool to let the camera app record video without the camera app visible onscreen. The app must be visible onscreen or it stops recording :/
Let's say you want to do other things on your phone and record video in the meantime. Now every time I leave the camera application (without closing it) and let's say phone someone then the camera stops recording .
Thx in advance.
Anyone has an idea?
iteresting thing.. i dont found any else app.
Sorry i cant help..
I do have another question I've been meaning to ask tho...
Has any one else noticed this..
When you have camera app open ready to take a picture, if you press the black between buttons on the right hand side it makes a Grey dotted box flash around the picture, noticed it helps with the picture taking time, almost like a "hold button half way to prime a digital camera"
Am I tripping or am I right??
Just not heard of any one else ever mentioning this...
Can't help either

I think you mean the frame showing what is actually being captured on your picture (instead of the whole 'wide' view you have before taking the picture).

Sorry you've confused me..
When I open the camera app, it opens full screen with 3 icons,
Flash, shutter(take picture) and settings..
I presume every one else is the same (exept possibly cooked roms)..
When you press settings tab and all the settings are around the screen pop up..
Press the gap between the shutter button and the settings button(a dotted box will show clearly around the middle flashing for a couple of seconds)
Now take a picture, measure the time it takes from you pressing and the picture capture..
Now do the same as you normally would.. Press the shutter..
Just seems way faster with the flashy box going than without.
Can you tell me why?
friendly bump.
I am wondering what it does as well.
I'm sorry, it took me some time to figure it out.
I think this is described in the manual on page 240.
Particulary at the footnote:
'Note If you tap outside the effective focus area, a white box appears to indicate the area where you can use Touch Focus.'
Is this what you mean?

[Q] Gallery Delete

I was looking at photos on my SD card in my TF700 dock. I was viewing them from the stock gallery. I was in the film strip view and swyping left and right through the photos and unintentionally swped at a left/down angle and the photo slid down off the screen. I didn't think much of it and continued on and then a few other photos did the same thing. This probably happened on like 5 photos before i noticed a brief undo popup in the bottom right corner. I didn't think it would delete photos without some sort of confirmation, but I guess I was wrong. Is there any way to undelete these photos and to turn off this feature? I am not unlocked or rooted and upgraded to JB this morning.

[Q] Pictures blurry, photo taken

Hey everyone,
Just recently, I've been having a problem with blurry pictures because the photo taker assumes that the photo is taken and saved before it is taken.
Previously on roms, once you press the blue button on the camera app, you see the autofocus do its work, and then it stops (which means the photo has been taken).
However, on the ROM I am currently on, it does the autofocus and the still, but takes like 3 seconds after that before the photo is actually taken O.O I'm not sure why, but this is causing a lot of blurry pictures because autofocus doesnt account for the 3 seconds between the focus and the actually photo taken.
Any ideas?
I do not have your phone/brand/rom so I have no experience in your device whatsoever.
However, I think that you are spot on about the autofocus potentially being a cause.
Are you able to disable it or use another camera application that has tap to focus or similar?
Sorry for the late reply.
Using another camera app causes some glitches (parts of the picture cuts off, streaks of white on the sides, etc.). Tap to focus will not help the problem because there is still a gap between when the pic is taken and when it is focused.
Thanks.

S3 camera crops off edges of pictures

I've noticed that on the S3, along with many other phones, that the stock camera app chooses to expand the edges of every picture you take regardless of its ability to capture the full screen. The first picture attached is what i see through the camera, and the second is what the picture actually looks like when I take it. I'm wondering why it does this.

[Q] Cant draw on half of Snapchat picture

In snapchat my note 10.1 GT-N8013 will delete any drawing on the lower half of my picture. It will let me draw on that portion but the minute I let go it deletes anything below a certain line. I have tried deleting and re installing Snapchat and that didn't seem to work. also when i flip the picture and it rotates the screen it wont let me draw on the same part of the picture. So no matter what way my tablet is facing whatever I draw on the lower half of the picture is deleted. I posted a picture to show what it looks like and where on the image it cuts off. Any tips or similar issues?
