You (probably) have a problem with the ROM, so it backs into recovery instead (unless something intentional was done with CWM).
What device do you have?
Without knowing which one you have, all I can recommend (once you have an XDA account so you can post in the rest of the site) is the [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly thread of the > General discussion > Questions and Answers forum. Be sure to provide as much detail about your device as possible (make and model, ROM flashed, etc)
If you have a (relatively) common device, I can point you to the direction where you will have visibility by your device experts.

[Completed] Need help!Bricked Z500 After installing an app on rooted Acer Liquid Z500

I installed a s****y app on my rooted Acer Z500.I found an older Firmware for it and i tried moving it on MicroSD and use it on recovery mode.It is just stuck on boot screen for ages!How can I flash a new rom on it?Also when i connect it via USB it just charges and the PC won't recognise It.Please help because it's my only working phone!

We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and here is no forum specifically for the Acer Liquir Z500 at this time but I see that you have already posted in the general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond.

[Completed] Cwm recovery for lenovo s850

I hav tried a couple of processes to install cwm recovery in lenovo s850, but most of them are not working properly some of them hav problem in touch for twrp recovery, can any one post the cwm recovery tool and recovery.img for lenovo s850. Thnx

[Completed] Is there a way to restore recovery for my Starmobile UP HD? Or flash a new one?

Hi to all masters, developers with a good heart:
I have tried to flash a philz recovery to my Starmobile Up Hd
But now my recovery doesnt show up
My phone has MTK6582 processor
I have tried to unlock the bootloader already
I have rooted my phone and already installed busybox
Is there a way to solve my problem to flash a working custom recovery to it or
Just restore my stock recovery i had not been able to create a backup since
After installing all drivers mtkdroid tools did not recognize my phone!
By the way my phone has a working fastboot luckily
Advance thanks to all that could help me plz!!!

[Completed] Really need help XDA...

The Problem:
I have a CHERRY MOBILE OMEGA SPECTRUM (CMOS). I mistakenly flashed the REDLIGHT V Custom Rom on my 4.4.2 CMOS. I followed the steps right and was able to flash the ROM. After the FLASH, I REBOOTED the phone and then it just vibrated. I have a black screen. It can't go back to its recovery state. what do I do?
I tried DFU but its not detecting the Phone. I have also installed the USB drivers already.
