Grand Theft Auto III on Infuse?

I know the Infuse is not on official the compatibility list for Grand Theft Auto III, but has anyone tried it yet? My brother has the thunderbolt and he says it runs great on his stock phone, and from what I understand its an inferior device.

I've tried it. It doesn't work. Audio/intro work, but after that, the phone just reboots.

yep same here i was so looking foward to this hopefully itll b officially ported to the infuse soon

May be it needs overclocking ?

I think its designed for the tegra gpu.
if you guys haven't tried it, maybe install chainfire and see how that goes.

Playing it now on Caty rom, choppy and freezes some, and haven't tried CF3d yet to see if it improves it. Didn't get the apk legit of course, and downloaded the SD card data too, GTA3 v1.1 and data for PowerVR, put it in sd/android/data. It works so far!
WILL BUY as soon as they make it officially for us! Love this game/
Now to see if I can get it to run on my nook.

Not going to link warez, and how hard is it to Google CF3d or chainfire?

subj v1.1 works on my infuse without any troubles. It downloads cache via wifi and you can play. I'm running i997uckk4 leak with stock uckl2 kernel. I've got chainfire installed but didn't use it, because it will download another cache if you select nvidia or other plugin in chainfire.

oh now thats no coincidence o.0..... thats the fix you have to go and buy a BALISTIC SC case lol
but yea its a little slow every now and then i havent had and freeze ups

Ok, I may try to re-download the data, and see if that fixes the freezes.

maybe with the dlev rom it might freeze up, my younger brother has the original rom on his Infuse, I'll give it a try on his phone and see how it does. I'll keep you posted

Wow i cant belive it i buy the phone cover and now is working... NOT! my game was crashing and the phone reboot because the game was on 1.0v went i update it to 1.1v starts working. also i have a question how can i clean up my ram for real because i use to kill task or use clean my ram but all the applications reopen in a background and that makes my GTA to lag.

Hi, i just downloaded swype for my desire @ bcm ics rom..
but i need the german language pack and after a while searching for that option i found the language download button, but now the download is just in an queue and doesnt start... any idea whats wrong here? oO

haha, just seemed you have to wait about 10minutes... it added the button add-ons in preferences and started to download language after waiting a long time... seems to work fine now

Also if anyone is curious, you can remove the Swype installer after you are finished.

Try to log in on: http://beta.swype.com//android/user/ and see if your device is shown. It may not be officially supported by them.

Works on my GSM Galaxy Nexus. First time user with Swype but it's kinda cool.

Had serious issues upgrading from the previous beta on my Transformer Prime. It would get stuck at
Downloading...
for hours on end, even through a night! I force stopped Swype and restarted the upgrade several times and never got anywhere beyond Downloading...
Was reluctant to do a fresh install to keep my user dictionary, but in the end just got sick of trying and failing (I tried for a total of 2 days, several times, waiting several hours). So I uninstalled Swype, executed the installer and tadaa, 2 minutes later all was installed including the second language I needed.
If it wasnt such a great input method, it wouldnt be worth the PITA to install...

Working great on both my galaxy s and transformer prime. I'd been using slideIT while waiting for an ICS update and although the ui customization was nice I find Swypes input recognition so much better that it just doesn't compare.

works great on my i9020a running CM9. Download of additional languages now works without a problem, had the same issue with an earlier version of Swype as a previous poster mentioned (language packed queued for download but never downloading).

I had the same problem (Samsung Epic 4G with CM9 ROM beta 4)...Swype FAQ calls it an interruption in data signal during download but I was trying with 3G, 4G, and WiFi and nothing worked. Finally I gave up on Swype (figured why bother because the beta license tends to expire unexpectedly anyway) and just downloaded TouchPal Keyboard instead. Much better!
Edited: Forgot to mention, in case you are thinking of pulling the APK from the kennyglass123's deodexed FC09 ROM, don't bother, I tried that and just got a bunch of Swype crashes.

[Q] Anyone have the Old NFL APK, or Hacked Version

When I got up today. I updated my NFL Mobile. Then when I open the app. It seems as though greedy NFL people have blocked the use of the app. On modified android phones. I have AT&T not looking for the Verizon APK.
I'm looking for a older AT&T version, or even better a hacked version to use the new one with modified andriods. So if you have or can do either would be greatly appreciated.
Note: If you have a Modified or Rooted phone and get the NFL Mobile update now or in the near future. I suggest you do not update it. This really is a must have app. for me. Thanks.

I am sorry but that would be considered warez at this point. XDA is not the place to look for this.

EDIT: OK after further research there is the app for AT&T or Sprint that does not have any streaming capabilities. I assume you mean this version. And if I read your request correctly it will not work at all on rooted devices. I believe making it work on rooted devices is a worthwhile endeavor and is not considered warez.

OK, I just tried to get this app on my work AT&T tablet and it says "Not available for this carrier". However I installed it and ran it fine on my rooted Sprint S3. If no longer available for AT&T then this would be considered warez. Although if the older version still works I see no harm in that being shared but it will eventually stop working.

Thanks, but I already took it from a back up ROM I had. I tried posting a link of it to my OP but as I was doing so it was locked. Now that its back open thanks. For people that want to use this first uninstall the updated version completely or it will not allow you to install. I will continue to look or work on the update file to see if I can get it to work with rooted phones.

The version I have is AT&T and it does not give me the not available error. It updates just fine, its when you open it. You get a Error unable to use with modified versions of android.

OK. They must not be allowing new installs on AT&T and are updating for previous users BUT they killed it for rooted phones...interesting. I will try on my work's S3 tomorrow on AT&T to see if I get the same "Not available for your carrier" message.

Is this what you get when using the above link? If so I will post mine as mine is NFL 13 and not 12. Mine still works good and has not forced me to update. It is a free app. and I dont use any of the functions you have to pay for but works for me. Once games start though I don't know if it will continue to work the way it did last year as I believe they change parts of it when the season ends they update. Then before drafts begin another update and now right before season begins another update. With little changes in each.

n that s the old nfl 12 app from the market. it wasnt compatible with my nexus 7 last year so i had it laying around from when i had to side load it. ill try the link above and see what i get

In your picture it shows Verizon. Does this remove the block from at&t also or is this the Verizon version with block removed? Thanks

Probably be better but this version does work on my AT&T phone. Thanks I will upload in a minute if you don't mind removing it. One thing I did notice is that the pictures of the app on play store show Verizon on them too.

T-Mobile software update - not Kit Kat

Didn't see this posted so I thought I'd share. I bricked my phone and used the LG Mobile Launcher upgrade recovery. The software it installed ended in g, not c. Don't know what it fixes, but zoom breathing is still present while recording a video.

is this NOT an OTA update? I just did an update check and it says I'm up to date... 80110c

Ive tried twice now to update and it keeps failing. Im stock unrooted. It downloads and gets to 70% then jumps to 100%, phone restarts and on the phone gets to 4%. Then the computer says it cant continue the upgrade and to restart the phone.

How do I do that? I'm no longer rooted after unbricking my phone. ioroot says to root only with shipping rom.

I followed the instructions in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370&highlight=unbrick and it worked for me. I was stock rooted before bricking my phone.

If I knew how, I totally would do it. I'm good at following directions, but figuring out how to extract the rom is beyond me.

Not yet. Do you think ioroot will work? That's how I rooted on d80110c. Is there another root method that will work with any stock rom since ioroot says it's only for the shipping rom? I'll try later tonight as I don't have 45 minutes right now to go through the upgrade process should I brick my phone again.

yeah, I don't think they did anything to the camera. It still has that annoying breathing issue with the focus. They might have fixed the Knock Knock issues some people were having with the screen not coming on consistently. I haven't noticed that I have had to double tap multiple times for the screen to come on so far.

The brightness slider is different. If auto is checked you cant move the slider any more.

How long?
How long did the process take? Mine seems to get stuck at downloading software everytime. I don't get a status bar at all.

The actual update took about 10 minutes on a slow computer. Downloading the 1.75GB file took forever.

Hmm ok. I never get a status indicator at that point. It looks like it fails... No percentage and the timer stops. Sound familiar?

Sony TV Launcher anytime without TV

As the title said, I've tested it on my Z1 and it's working without any issues.
This is not the actual app itself, It's only an ENABLER to make it work anytime without TV. It will only work on the devices which has TVLauncher already in the system.
It may work for other devices, test it and report.

UPDATE : For people who didn't work for them, just flash the fix in the attachments through CWM. The app is working fine now.

you need to have stock without apps disabled or debloated for it to work.
It doesn't matter if you are rooted, deodexed or not.

if you took a programming course, then you might be able to understand the errors in logcat, and by decompiling the relevent apks, maybe try to fix them? but for this "fixing" part, some knowledge about java (i think thats the language apks are decompiled in) is needed

Actually I'm not a programmer, I did it using tasker, maybe If you have tasker you can do it too.

You can use it as car or desk mode, for me, I use it as desk mode.
