A few people including myself had problems with root access on lollipop. I came across this beta version that fixes the problem.
Root access with just the titanium app that is.

For me everything worked. But the root fix means that it uses the new method to grant root. Do you running a rooted lollipop rom with bumped kernel that allows root?

True. Same here. Freezing works fine though. So you could do that
You can follow all the test releases on the twitter page https://twitter.com/titaniumbackup. It looks like a newer test version is now live. I'm not sure if anything noticeable changed.
On my Nexus 7 with Android 5 I can only restore Data, if the App is not Installed it doesn't show the restore option.
Playstore version was updated with L support...
thank you very much...... it worked for my device
I was having root issues with the standard version of TiBu. I just started installing on initial flash and clicking the update button. Works like a charm now.
Thanks, very good

So just flashed android L and flashed root, other applications got the root and work fine except for titanuim backup. I have busy box and tried uninstalling and tried uninstalling supersu and yet nothing seems to work. It keeps coming up with the message that it cant obtain root even though I grant it....any solutions? :d
thannks in advance
Think it's fixed in the beta.

I don't know much on this topic but I think simply flashing a 5.0 gapps package would work

you could unzip the gapps and move the apps manually into the system apps folder, fix permissions, then reboot. dont try to install, system apps install themselves on reboot.
im thinking, some will work and some may not. i believe for some of the apps, there are other files the gapps install, you should see them in the gapps package, but i dont know where they need to be placed. maybe you can look at other apps to find similar files and place the new ones in the appropriate places.
i would make sure you have some way to recover your phone first. you just never know what might happen when dropping non native things into the system.

have framework, think it might be a permission issue but not sure
if flashfire would work would be more simple but it doesnt recognize kingroot
and supersu can't get the bineris updated

Kingroot prevents supersu from doing so.... Well why don't you try to push the files manually now as it looks the only way available currently

Just tried Magisk to make sure and worked as well.
Thanks good man, know of some notorious change how to really improve the battery or overheating there was in the 93-14?
Were you guys rooted before? If so, what exactly did you do so you could update?
I'm rooted with SuperSu and ElementalX Kernel right now. What would I need to do so I can install the OTA update, when it hits my phone?
I like too fresh install Android via abd then update and root, but you can always unroot you you are lazy to fresh install

Can someone upload a twrp backup with this update?
I'm using Magisk for root and Substratum for theming the navigation bar. Will updating over the changes made work?
PS - The bootloader is unlocked, of course.
Magisk is fine dont know about substratum

Hey there, I made this thread because many of the x820/x821 users were facing Google Camera force closes on their phones......I found this fix on this thread and tested it on my x821 with a success.... Please do check and reply if it worked for other users..... It was basically happening due to installation of GApps.... To fix this just follow these steps.....
1. Make sure your phone is rooted.
2. You need a root file manager.
3. Navigate and delete these files.
/System/framework/com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.jar and
/System/etc/permission/com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.xml
4. Clear data of Google Camera and Reboot. DONE.
HOPE THIS FIX WORKS FOR YOU.:good:

The clicks are caused by the focus issues sadly, but the LeEco fix should be implemented into the custom rom im using in this weeks update, so I gotta hold out from using the camera until then!
this problem you have mostly with full gapps
in pico, mini and so on they works without fixing

Did you get root access? On the other hand if you're in pie ROM you don't need to do this anymore, just install an update to the same.... It will work fine:good:

You can use any ROM with Focus Fix toggle, like AEX, AICP, AOSiP, LOS etc:good:
Also take the note that your camera module is good, cause mine is bad and it doesn't work anymore.....

Yes and bootloader will be locked too.
Use naptime.
Try Uninstalling unnecessary apps.
Try different kernel.
