Note 10.1 unable to wake up - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, Im new here have been lurking around the forums for awhile.
Currently, I have a big issue with my Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE 2012 Edition.
After using ODIN to flash to the French Orange KitKat ROM, I am unable to wake my tablet from sleep after locking it.
Sometimes, the lock screen might pop up if im lucky.
Have tried factory reset, cache reset and disabling a multitude of applications as well as force GPU rendering.
Thanks in advance =D

[Q] Root and ROM rookie questions

Hello XDA! Even though I love technology, I tend to tread lightly when diving into outside-the-box programming topics. That being said, I recently decided to dip into the rooting pool and I've enjoyed the experience so far. I rooted my S3 (SCH-I535) and added the MOAR rom on July 4th, and everything ran smooth for the first week. Recently, I'm running into an issue where the phone freezes on the lock screen and then goes into a soft reset. It's happened a couple times a day for the last three days or so but once it boots back up it seems to work okay for a while. I've also noticed that the phone turns the screen back on when I hit the power button, repeats about three times before stopping. Is this problem related to the root and rom process at all? I've had the lock screen problem briefly when I had my Droid 2 Global, not sure what happened to fix that (if it fixed at all...). I would ask the MOAR rom forum, but I'm a noob (not sure if it's rom related either). Any help would be appreciated!
p.s. will be loading the new version of MOAR later tonight, maybe that will help?

Try disabling the ripple effect in your lockscreen settings. That is a known issue with any lockscreen other than the stock one.
Seriously a new version of MOAR? Dang it seems like every time I downloaded the new version they're putting up a new one. Which isn't a bad thing but still. Did they say this on the thread?

Where can I find the kernel information?
So with a couple tests, I found that the phone tends to soft reset twice if I enter the wrong swipe password, not sure why it has to freak out like that but it's annoying. That's the only time it's been resetting now. The other issue, screen turning back on after I turn it off with the power button, is still persisting but isn't happening in any discernable pattern.
Okay so I found the kernel information, it says
"3.0.31-1152558

People in the MOAR forum (Verizon S3) have had problems on the reboots with the Blackberry lockscreen, but I'm on Rotary so that doesn't help.

[Q] Menu touchkey pressing itself multiple times?

Hello,
my girlfriend has a Galaxy Relay and she is happy with it, except one problem. Sometimes the menu touchkey starts acting crazy and presses itself multiple times, making it very hard to use the phone (browsing!) during that time.
Has any other Relay owner experienced something like that? Is it the phantompress problem the Galaxy S2/Epic 4G Touch people had aswell?
We're using the latest t-mobile rom and debloated it.

[Q] No Wifi after update

I received software updates today both for my S4 (i9506) and for my Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P905).
Updated my S4 and after two updates in a row she was good to go.
Same prosedure on my 12.2 albeit after finished updating it will not connect to wifi anymore. Stuck in searcing for available wifi networks.
Tried multiple restarts. Have also wiped cache (startup using power+volUp+home)
Anyone else? Any idea how do I rectify?

I have 3 broadcasted SSID's at home - all of then working well and all other devices sees and can connect to all of them. All but my Note Pro.
Suspected the low battery settings, but after charging over night the device still is still stuck in "searching" mode in Wifi settings.
This can happen to any device after an update. (and it happens a lot!)
The update corrupted something. Do a factory reset.

You're absolutely right. Factory reset did the trick.
Never experienced problems from an update. But I suppose there is always a first time

Galaxy Note Edge freezes when unlocking the screen

Hello,
My phone (latest 5.1.1 firmware: N915FYXXU1COJ2) freezes several times a day for about 10 seconds when I unlock the screen using the fingerprint.
Does everybody have this issue or only some lucky ones? Is there a known solution to this bug?
For me things have been fine for about 2 days after wiping the cache, but then the bug reappeared. I even completely restored the phone to the initial state, but this didn't solve anything either.
Thanks.
PS: it looks like the same bug exists on the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge +:

Change the firmware or do hard reset ...I never hear for this problem

S8 Plus Freezing/Locking Up, Please Help!

Hello. I got my S8 Plus at lunch. First while was fine but now my phone freezes/locks up at least once a day. When it does this it becomes unusable. This is a Canadian Snapdragon version from Bell. Usually it will stay frozen until I reset it using the side buttons. I thought maybe it was the SD card so I bought a new, better one. I tried wiping the cache and eventually even a full factory reset. After a few days it starts doing it again. Any ideas? I do have a theme from the Smasung theme store on? Could this be it, I hope not because otherwise I don't like all the white Samsung has. Oh and I also have Bixby stuff frozen with package disabler pro. Thanks. Hoping someone can help.

Same problem I created the same thread they might lock this one but I haven't found a solution I'm thinking about going to tmobile and switching it for another s8 plus
I am facing freezing issue only. I have my phone since April but this problem started after last update. Normally it happens when I am using Spotify, Uber and Maps app together. I did factory reset and new firmware too but it still hangs. Now I did reset again and didnt restore my phone from cloud yet. I reinstalled the apps again and haven't test it again. I think phone is using all ram and processor.
Are you guys using bixby? I found that it started for me now long after they activated it.
This seems to be happening on alot of snapdragon S8s.
I have exynos and havent had a single issue...id ditch the crappy snapdragon version and go exynos they always seem to smoother running anyway.
As an extra added bonus no locked bootloader!
No reason not to switch lol.

After messing with it all morning, I think my issue is the sdcard. I removed it and everything is running much better, at least for now.
