[Q] Help: Rom's after 4.4.2 on N8010?

Hi Everybody!
In first place thanks to everybody that reads this thread. Thanks for taking your time.
I upgraded my N8010 to the latest firmaware (4.4.2).
I have rooted and istalled a custom recovery (CWM 6.0.4.6) and installed Gnabo V.7 rom.
I am not particularly keen on TouchWiz, and I would like to move away from it.
Gnabo room (as it currenly is) reboots randmomly, and I also experience problems with my emaîl settings. (have to reconfigure sometimes...)
The issue is that after the new bootloader, it seems to be impossible to install any custom rom that is not TouchWiz 4.4.2 based.
I think that if sombedy could list the options that we have for roming, after the stock 4.4.2 update, this would really help.
Thanks again in advance.
José
Update rom
Here is what I did so far:
Stock N8010 on 4.1.2
Upgrade stock to 4.4.2
Root with Chainfire method (over ODIN)
Instal Philz Recovery
Install CM 11 unofficial rom that led to brick
Unbrick by flashing over odin 4.4.2 firmaware from sammobile
Reroot and CWM recovery 6.0.4.6.
Install Stockish rom 4.4.2 that led to brick --> sorted by backup with CWM recovery
Install OMNI rom --> Success!! only issue is to non boot over charging.
SO... OMNI rom seems to work.
See If I can try another one!

Issue while flashing android 5.1 roms

Hi All,
I have XT1033 Dual Sim (Currently running CM12 Official Build - Latest Nightly).
I tried to install Android 5.1 based roms like (Team UB rome and unofficial build of CM12.1). I alo flashed the Gapps (Android 5.1) I used Philz recovery to flash the same.
Flashing was successful. But when I come to the setup part then i got error "com.android.phone has stopped working" at language selection page.
After that i come to the wi-fi selection page. There i selected skip and i got error "Setup has stopped working". and it again redirect me to language selection page. I get stuck in the loop.
Could anyone please help me to resolve this issue on XT1033 Dual sim device.
Hmmm... Strange. You see did you have trouble flashing CM12? If you didn't, try a different recovery (providing you know how to install)
Sam.

I tried both Philz and TWRP recovery. Both of them giving me the mentioned error after flashing and the booting of ROM
Did anyone try installing android 5.1 rom based on CM12.1 in XT1033 Dual Sim.
If yes, could you please provide me the recovery.img file you are using for this.
Is this problem because of i am at CM12 and then trying flashing CM12.1 ROM.
Do i need to go back to Stock 5.0.2 and then try to install CM12.1 rom.

[Q] Getting nowhere trying to flash lollipop :(

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could offer me a little assistance please ? I have a UK Tesco Moto G 16GB (2013) that I have successfully unlocked the bootloader and rooted and CWM recovery installed. Currently, it's running 4.4.4 Kitkat. I gave up with the OTA update as I was getting the 'preflash validation failed' message. More recently, I have tried following the guide on here to flash the XT1032_GPE_5.1_Optimized_v1.1.zip file using CWM. However, this resulted in what I believe is termed a bootloop - i.e. the coloured dots animation just never stopped - I waited half an hour and it was still going.
I've managed to restore it back to my previous 4.4.4 for the moment, but I would like to move to Lollipop at some point - if I could !
Could someone suggest a method I could try please ?
Many thanks !
Kev.
Hi there.
Well, my device is a XT1032 Retail US but I may have been through the problems you're facing right now.
Here we go:
Go full stock (don't know if you revocer from a backup or already did this but in any case you'd know what to do: This guide helped me a lot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219.
Do not install any official update using a custom recovery
Make sure you got the actual latest recovery version. If you went stock from the latest firmware you should have already got it.
If you have your OTA, Install it manually from the stock recovery
This method should work. It is the one I followed.
I got two errors: 1st was because was using custom recovery.
2nd was because my rom was stock but had deleted system apps, so the install failed always at some point.
Once I flashed the latest stock firmware including the stock recovery, I was able to install my OTA update.
Let me know if this works.

[Q] Custom rom in bootloop ?

I have build from source CM12 and when I flashed the ROM it is in an infinite loop in the GOOGLE logo. I have done everything correctly.
I installed a CM12.1 build and there is no problem.
Flashed factory images of 5.0, 5.02 an 5.1.1 and then flashed my build but still it is in loop. No problem when I flash a CM12.1 build.
Can you point out what I did wrong ?

If you built from source with no modifications, it should work fine provided that you are installing it on top of the same version of Android. That means if CM12 is 5.0.2 you probably have to install it on top of a fresh install of stock 5.0.2 or some 5.0.2 ROM.
You should also wipe data and dalvik (you probably did seeing as you claim to have done everything correctly).

[Q] Stuck in Boot animation after flashing cm12.1

I managed to get my xt925 updated to KKBL, and after flashing cm12.1 I'm stuck in the boot animation. I tried flashing several cm11 versions as suggested somewhere else as step inbetween, but most of them resulted in boot loops (right after unlocked bootloader warning) Any Idea how to fix this ?
btw. I'm trying to flash the lastest cm12.1 . unfortunately I did not make a backup uf stock KK rom before starting this. silly me Is there a stock 4.4.2 ROM available to flash with RSDLite ? I Already tried to restart the whole process - but flashing Stock JB won't work after having KK BL

Fixed the Issue by flashing Slimrom 4.4.4 as interlude. Now I'm on CM12.1 and bootup process is normal.
Thank you, so much!

I was with the same problem and a fixed it after read your tip!! thank you very much!!!!
That is what did the trick for me too.
At first cm12.1 wouldn't run on my XT925. Then i flashed SlimROM 4.4.4, booted it up, rebooted into recovery mode (twpr 2.8.6.0), flashed cm12.1, wiped cache and dalvik and then rebooted.
Now it runs stably on cm12.1. Thanks a lot!
