You can get them from here:
https://developer.nvidia.com/develop4shield
Just scroll down the page until you see the recovery images section and download the appropriate one

,,,but not fast or guaranteed. You have to wait for someone to approve it before you can DL factory images.

Not sure what happened to your registration, but mine was instant.

You can find alternate steps for unlocking the bootloader here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2041627
Also, if you need help with rooting or installing a new ROM, I've compiled a set of instructions on my technology blog (thoughtsontechnology.com, my second-to-last post).
(NONE of this work is mine, I just compiled the text and links in one spot for easier access.)

there's no "alternative" unlock method. the link you posted still uses the asus unlock app. the only way to fix this is to contact asus...

philos64 can you explain which drivers you mean....if the user can plug the device into the computer and is recognized then driver issue should be fine as I am able to load TWRP however this doesn't allow root access and the Unlock Device App v7.1.apk is a device resident application.
Cheers
Footnote:
I got it sorted
1. Download TWRP 2.4 and install via fastboot
2. Download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?cr209hb5e2fr910
3. Reboot into RCK
4. Install Downloaded zip in link
5. Reboot and you now have root access.
Let me know how you go

[ROOT][TWRP] How to get root access on tablet Onda v919 Air CH DualOS

Essential one to stock firmware: together rooted system get TWRP 2.8.7.0.
Explain in great detail:
First specify the version of the firmware: Settings - About tablet - see on line Build number, for example, ***.20160216.*** (or 20160307, 20160429). In accordance with the version download the attached files.
From the thread Chainfire download TWRP / FlashFire installable ZIP, any choice - Stable, Beta or Latest. Archive ***-SuperSU-***.zip put in any useful folder in tablet.
Tablet is completely off, certainly from Android, simultaneously pressing power button and both volume "+" and "-" to boot your device in DNX Fastboot Mode (relevant notes on-screen will appear). Connect to computer that is already pre-installed the drivers (see attachment).
On the computer, launch the FLASH.bat from the extracted archive with TWRP. Wait until the script completes, devices disconnect.
In the tablet volume key to select "Recovery Mode" and power button to reboot the device in TWRP.
In TWRP to install the archive with superuser: Install - select the file - Swipe to Confirm Flash - Reboot system.
That's all, folks! © Disney
In addition TWRP installs insecure boot.img with screen density to 280 dpi.
Credits
@Chainfire for superuser;
@mirek190 for permission to use his fantastic flash tool (I changed it a bit for the installation TWRP);

Interesting question. I don't see this firmware version in the official and not official sources. The problem isn't TWRP - it's the same everywhere - but in unlocked boot.img. I'm unable to recommend anything, I have no boot.img 20160324.
Please look at the screen shot from my tablet.
i bought it from GearBest.
Can I try all the versions you have uploaded to find out which one will work? Or I will damage my tablet this why?

Yes, do you have Onda CH - cht_cr_mrd_w. Take any set, but remove from it the boot.img, install TWRP and make a backup of the boot.img and here put, please.
I have a feeling that the Chinese are a hundred variations of iron made.
Thank you very much for helping me!
You mean, first to delete the file "boot.img" from folder "rom", then to run "flash.bat" to install "TWRP recovery" only and finally to make a backup of my "boot.img" and upload it here?
Without unlocked "boot.img" I can't make my tablet rooted?

Yes.
I installed TWRP and then booted to recovery. I backed up "boot.img" but then the tablet turned off by its own!
When I tried to turned it on again to Android, it keeps stay to 'Intel" logo for ever!
I don't know what to do! Please help me!
It boots to Windows without problem.
I manage to install the 0531 version using your instructions !
Everything works perfect including the sound!
Now I will try to root my device using your instruction above.
I will let you know... Thank you very much for your help!!!
I manage to root my tablet.
Everything is working fine now!
Thank you very much ViAlexSt! You are a life saver!
Mine has a 20160323 version! I think we are being played with.... Those numbers are a lot of versions!
What should I do? Perhaps the same as perama? I want to do a nandroid backup first, naturally.
Any suggestions?

I don't know whether to read this topic anyone else besides me, but I find it difficult to answer unequivocally. If you are not afraid - try to put the firmware 0531. And then TWRP.
I just wanna root the damn thing...
I already got i2c HID Device data failure once, just 2 days after I bought it.
Had to open the case and fix it, so yes, I am prete much afraid...
Is this 0531 version English f/w with no chinese? So, it just needs rooting?
Thanks ViAlexSt for all the help you provide us.

I don't know what version of firmware you have installed. You can of course try to install the most recent version - 0531, but may lose sound if the modification of iron is not adequate. Look at the serial number on the back cover: if it in the form .....G4V7...... - you can safely install 0531.

Firmware version 0531 international, with pre-installed gapps and no Chinese, but firmware is discussed in another topic Here, only the activation of root access.

G4 or G3 revision? If G4, then any available firmware will do. With G3 harder - there may be issues with wake tablet from sleep.

Any firmware version will not make the tablet a brick. The only question is the presence of bugs: sound, sleep, overheating...
Look at the messages of реrama: he set TWRP with no boot, even made a backup, but without unlocking boot, the tablet doesn't start. He had to flash the version 0531, which, however, fit perfectly under his revision of "iron".
I have G4v7 revison. I guess I am good to go. I don't want any overheating problems, like "Throttling Brightness due to Thermal event" problems I had with Onda V919 Air 3G 64GB Intel Z3735F.
I had themal problems and shutdowns and was forced to return the product...
EDIT: I managed to root it after installing the PERFECT 0531 EN firmware.
The tablet is PERFECT now!
Thanks ViAlexSt!
I always get "failed to get partition boot".
I think there is an error in fstab.
When I manage to run TWRP, it fails to mount /data.
Any ideas?

Hmm, interesting... While no specific ideas. I (and not only) have everything working. What version of firmware? Script when you install TWRP fulfills completely, without any errors? It's possible that not removed the OEM lock. Try to put the checkboxs in "Developers section" in "Settings".

TWRP - Build Flags for unusual device (Lenovo Medion X5004)

Ahoi!
I try to compile TWRP for my "Lenovo MEDION X5004", but I'm very unsure what build-flags to put for my device.
In particular I'm worried about the flags TARGET_ARCH, TARGET_CPU_ABI, TARGET_ARCH_VARIANT and TARGET_CPU_VARIANT.
From Qualcomm-Website-infos on "Snapdragon 615" and getprobs I guess
TARGET_ARCH := arm64 (?)
TARGET_CPU_ABI := arm64-v8a (?)
TARGET_ARCH_VARIANT := NO IDEA
TARGET_CPU_VARIANT := cortex-a53 (?)
Am I on the right path with that? Or is it better to put more generic values (i.e. is arm64 right, or is my processor downwards compatible and I can just go with arm)?
Any other places to look for the right values than Qualcom Website and getprobs?

I just used the script by yuweng from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66030554&postcount=11 as a reference. It's made for BBQLinux, but you don't need it for building Android/TWRP – maybe I should modify the script to work with any/most Linux-Distros… (I'm at my parents for a week – bad internet there – I'll come back to it next week)

I'd feel guilty if you'd brick your phone withe the image I was too coward to flash…
I plan to first flash my old phone… i hope I'll be more sure about the posibility to flash back stock recovery if it fails then (my question from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943625&page=332)
btw: You own the very same device? Could I ask you to pull an image of systempartition an upload it somewere (or send it to me) – I deleted some stuff by accident and it'd be great if I could recover them…
Hi,
I own the Medion Life X5004 phone, I think it's the same.
But unfortunately I had an accident with it that prevents me from allowing ADB access.
It may seem incredible but in fact it fell on the road and a couple of cars passed on it, smashing the screen, deforming the case, even slightly deforming the battery.... but it still works!!!! I can switch it on, connect to it with USB as MTP device, retreive files etc. The volume and power buttons still work so I can access recovery and fastboot modes (a tree view of the recovery menu would be appreciated as I don't see a thing without the screen ^^ )

... no can do! without the screen I can't allow the damn adb access (Thought it was ok but no!) and so I can't issue any adb command to the phone right now.... But I remember doing an image at some point so I'll search for it and see if I an find it somewhere on my hdd's...
So if I could try to flash or boot a custom recovery, I'd flash a boot image with allowed adb access and then I could see my non-present-screen and do stuff with the phone.
I'd like to make it into a media center
If I'm not mistaken you can boot the recovery image without flashing it.
Thanks for your hard work and the info/links you provided. Much appreciated!!

Hi everyone. I have this device but I'm facing a problem. After over 2 years of use, it fell on the ground a few days ago, and the screen is all black. I am trying to retrieve the files from it, I have some stuff that I need. The problem is, the device is fingerprint and password locked, so when I connect it to my PC, it doesn't let me see inside the storage until I unlock it. I've trying to place my fingers on the on-screen sensor, but to no avail. I've also tried blindly writing the password but again no success. I am guessing; besides the screen, the touch sensor is also not working. I've found many solutions (various data recovery apps for PC, screen mirroring, ADB commands), but, all require usb debugging enabled, but that is not the case on my A41. My last resort is this, but I need to ask something before I do it.
1. Does flashing it automatically factory reset my phone
2. If not, does this recovery work with volume button controls (because TWRP has a UI unlike CWM which I used like a decade ago) so I can blindly locate the right options?
3. Is it possible to boot without factory reseting?
4. If not, can I just connect my device while in recovery and copy the files from there, before factory reseting it?
I don't want to fix the screen because it's like a hundred euros, and the phone is not worth that much, let alone the screen. I'll be getting a new phone next month and until them I'm using an old phone I have laying around.
Any help is appreciated.

There's nothing you can do, maybe some repair centre could temporally replace the screen just to save the data from it.

I guess I'll just repair the screen even if It's not actually worth it. Thanks though.
Hi Guys, is the latest version of this TWRP compatible with Android 12, or it is only working for Android 11? thanks for your kind reply.

Question Galaxy watch4 classic

Hello everyone, I have a Watch4 classic that is currently rebooting indefinitely. I think the system is malfunctioning and I need its firmware. Does anyone have it. Looking forward to everyone's reply. Thank you. The model is SM-r885u
Probably you can find it on this website, which is that you may need to pay to download the firmware.https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=422546
Maybe first try to open Recovery Menu in watch and Factory Reset with Cache partition wipe.
