[Completed] [Q] Will galaxy s4 knox tripped running stock get ota updates? - XDA Assist

I have a sprint galaxy s4 that I did some experimenting (flashed custom kernal, bricked, flashed back to stock) and tripped knox. I am now on stock NG5 and not rooted (yet). I was doing some research about knox and read that once knox is tripped you will not be able to update to any knox enabled firmware, even via odin. Does this mean I will not be able to get any ota updates (4.4.4 or lollipop)?
Note: When I flashed back to stock, I flashed to NC6 and am now am on NG5 so I hope that means I can get updates.

Hi,
I definitely suggest that you ask the experts who own your device, here in your device section,

Good luck!

[Completed] Galaxy S5 AT&T Root Problems

I have had problems with rooting the G900A.
The first time I used towelroot, it worked but I accidently accepted an OTA which broke root. Now towelroot doesn't work.

You can read about this "issue" here: Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Update breaks towelroot on G900F.
Main thing is that you may have to "downgrade" and root again with TowelRoot.
If you have further questions, please ask in the AT&T Galaxy S5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Or better in the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 > AT&T Galaxy S5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [INDEX][FAQ][Q&A][ALL-IN-ONE][ATT][SM-G900A][Jul.01.2014] thread.
EDIT:
Found this method to root with KNOX 0x0 on newer firmware: Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Galaxy S 5 General > [How to] Root without triggering KNOX? 2nd Method, works for Fimware ANG2 and above ... but it's originally for different variants of the S5. Maybe it works for your device too ... but haven't found a positive report so far.
So I assume that the locked bootloader will prevent this method from working on your device.
Better ask in the SM-G900A help thread I linked above to get a confirmation before flashing anything.

[Completed] [Q] Rooting & Hyperdrive 19 on S4

Hello, I'm new to the threads and I am trying to install Hyperdrive 19 on my SCH-I545 Verizon S4.
My build number is MK2
Baseband Version is NC5
Android version is 4.3
Currently my phone is not rooted as well.
My question is how can I get NC5 on 4.4 in order to install Hyperdrive RLS19?
Hi,
Here is a support thread for Hyperdrive... You can ask for help here,
> Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4 > Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A] Hyperdrive Rom S4 Verizon ║ Non-Development Discussion ║ Support
You will likely need to be rooted with a custom recovery, but sometimes there are other methods, so ask in the above thread for your options.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Need Help to Fix Phone After AT&T OTA update

Hey Good day,
I am requesting some help from anyone who may have experienced or knows how to resolve this issue.
I have been using the back to stock firmware on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2 until yesterday the ota AT&T update installed and from since then the phone will not boot past the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 logo. I can get into download mode but cant get into the stock recovery mode or any recovery mode and i have tried reflashing the back to stock firmware again without any change.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to go forward..... I would hate to think my device is bricked just like that.
I appreciate your time and efforts in advance.
Cheers to you ALL.

[Completed] [Q] Hyperdrive ROM install

I would like to install Hyperdrive ROM on my GS4. A few questions:
I am about to re-root after my NG6 update. Can I install a Hyperdrive ROM from NG6 and if so, which version?
Or do I have to downgrade to NC5 (which is OK)? If so, do I use Hyperdrive 16 as in the video by RootJunkie?
Also, in the video, he downloads "NC5 Modules" to be installed via SS. I can't find them anywhere! If I use NG6 or a later Hyperdrive version, do I still need the NC5 Modules?
I'm a little confused and could use a little help.
Thanks!
Hi,
If this is the rom you are referring to, it has a dedicated Q&A thread for questions regarding the rom...

And if you need further help or have any other questions about your device, Here's where to ask....

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Back in the day there was Triangle Away. Then Samsung released Knox with Android 4.3 which made Triangle Away useless.
Now, the goal is to root whenever possible without tripping Knox. You seem to be one of the unlucky ones.
I don't think there is a way to reset Knox, although if anyone was to know, they would watch this thread:
> Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [SUPPORT THREAD] The Galaxy ~S5~ All in one support thread!**NOOB FRIENDLY**
Please note, you will need an XDA Account in order to post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
