I will try to sort results in a "highscore" of the best ROMs to see which is REALLY the best ROM.
My vote: Cyanogenmod 10, because it is the most functional port OS for Android

I currently have android 4.1.2(jelly bean) on my sony xperia j st26i. I want to root the phone and install cyanogenmod 10. But different sources in internet say that sony xperia j officially does not support cyanogenmod 10. Does this mean it will brick the phone if i try to flash the stock ROM with cyanogenmod 10? Also I want to know whether i will get improved perfomance if cyanogenmod 10 is installed. Any help is appreciated.

CM are good . but if you want to stay with stock rom , go on .

I came to know that Android 4.4 getting ready for Xperia J by CM developers.
My doubt is, is it possible to get upgrade from CM 10 TO CM 11 after the release or have to install it freshly?

How to get the Sony Xperia Z camera working in cm-13.0-20160109-EXPERIMENTAL-yuga. Any fix released...
Device: Sony C6602
Recovery: TWRP 2.6.3.0
Rooted and bootloader unlocked
cm-13.0-20160109-EXPERIMENTAL-yuga
gapps-600-base-20151016-1-signed
Camera works in cm-12.1-20160509-NIGHTLY-yuga but it doesn't work when upgraded to CM13 (both unofficial and experimental)
Tried different combinations like fresh flash and update from 12 to 13 using the filesets mentioned below.
