[APP][2.3.3+] Yo Momma Alarm Clock 1.0.2 - Android Apps and Games

What does it do?
It is an alarm clock that wakes you up with Yo Momma jokes.
Why do we need it?
Typical alarm clocks wake up with an annoying tone, nature sounds, birds, ... we were woken up all our lives like that. This alarm clock wakes you up with Yo Momma Jokes. It's different and it's funny.
Who is it for?
For people that want to try something different then the usual. Your days starts with your alarm clock.. That's the very first moment where an app developer should make your day different, and better.
What makes it stand out of the crowd?
It uses video. I haven't seen any alarm clocks out there that use something else then audio. The Yo Momma Jokes are handpicked, to select the most funny ones.
Question for you
I have ordered more videos. Should I put them in this free version of in a paid version?
This puzzles me, so I'm really curious about your opinion!
Let me know what you think of the idea/app. Ratings and Reviews are highly appreciated!!
Thanks.

If you go to this website there is a selection of mp3's recorded by Stephen Fry meant for a talking electronic alarm clock.
http://voco.uk.com/
look in the downloads section.
If anyone knows of a nice program to play them in though, and that would rotate them randomly I would be delighted.
Surur
thx for the link but i would rather a female voice to wake me in the morning

S2U2 Request: S2Alarm

Hey guys
I was just thinking, it would be awesome if A_C Could include a slide to alarm program with s2u2. A_C, if you see this I know your always completely immersed in projects, but I think this would be pretty cool/convenient.
It could work like the regular s2u2 screen, but play any mp3 etc, and have a slider that looks like this:
DISMISS ==========<>=========== SNOOZE
What do you guys think?
there are other alarm tools out there that do the job, but i would definitely use the one integrated with s2u2 if it is ever made.
nice idea. i hope it will be done
the idea with sliding is to make sure that non-human forces cannot unlock your device. A better solution would be buttons that are integrated into S2U

Wait what? How is my slider different from the normal one that it can be slid by accident?
I like it. There have been a number of times where I've accidentally dismissed an alarm by hitting the dismiss button while flailing in my half-sleep... It's easier to dismiss an alarm than to postpone it which is a major fail in my book. The least detrimental option should always be the easiest to implement. Something requiring a more cognizant response would be quite welcome by me.
Personally, I think that to dismiss it should require something a bit more involved... perhaps a double slide or slide one direction then the opposite.
The only question I would have would be how to handle the duration? Just a a length preset in the settings?
While we're at it how about an alarm with the option to slowly increase the volume? Yes, I know a couple other apps have it... I don't really like them.
interesting idea...

It would be nice to have this for alarms and event reminders. I've always wanted a few more options on snoozing reminders! Right now there is a huge gap between 1 hour and 1 day. I wish there were options for 2 hours, 3, and 6 hours. (or whatever..)
My idea is once you hit snooze it will pop up a full screen of options for how long you would like to snooze. If you are too tired to answer it or just don't answer it, it should have a default after x seconds with no answer.
What do you guys think?
I'm not fond of the multiple interaction concept with regard to snoozing... Perhaps for appointment reminders, but not for alarms.
I'm for that. A very nice idea!

Non-Human?
Anyways...the actual iPhone S2U has a keypad lock on it also. You slide it, then the keypad fades in and requires you to put in the passcode
Would be nice if a Alarm cannot be "dismissed" by just one single click.
I have the incredible ability to snooze my alarm without remembering later... got me already into a lot of trouble

Good ideas. As for the increasing alarm can't you just edit a .wav to do that?

What I had intended by that is a system where you could specify that the first time it goes off it plays the sound at a certain level, let's say half volume. Then each time it goes off after a snooze the volume increases 10%.
Good idea i must partly agree.
Maybe you guys can even pull it off using the XDA resources to make this yourself.
Sorry about post number 13#, i like to call it evidence.

Alright, you know, I'm not even sure what was meant by that statement, however you need to settle down and relax. It's a bit late to go back over the thread, but you need to realize that not one of the persons responsible for dragging this thread through the mud was anything better than regular old fashioned users. No mods or admins contributed.
In all honesty, Noonski, did us a big favor. This thread was heading for the trash, he stepped in, moved it somewhere neutral and cleaned it up. He didn't have to, he didn't have to take the time to salvage it.
Attempting to place blame on the administration and foster anti-establishment sentiment is only going to prove an even greater disservice to the rest of us.
Be civil, accept that the moderators and administration do indeed have the final say in this PRIVATE venue and I'm sure you'll be treated fairly. Hell, be nice and polite and perhaps we may just get a venue for the type of discussion we would like to see...
Ok?

App Request

I am thinking this could be challenge of the century.
Is anyone able to make an app which automatically changes the ringtone based on the weather on the weather tab on tf3d?
For example, if the weather shows rain, I could assign it to play Rain by The Cult, or Joe Satriani's Summer Song if it is sunny.
Should be one for someone to get their chops around. Have fun with it and thank you to anyone who has a pop at it.
Can I ask why?
Just changing my phone up a bit and thought it would be a cool app. Nothing more than that.

G-Shock clock replacements?

I've searched and found bunch of other branded style clock replacements, but was interested in a G-Shock face clock for my hd2. If anyone can help or build one, that'll be awesome!.
This would be a nice idea if someone could get it to work.
I'd rather have a g-shock clock than flaunting my HD2 with Breitling and Rolex.
But truthfully speaking I think all the mods are already too pre-occupied.
HD3??
Ho about an awesome HD3 watch face?
check hd3complication.com
the Black Pearl one would look great on the HD2.
The HD3 looks amazing, now to only catch the attention of a modder...
The clocks are interesting but:
- 3D movements like in some clocks are not really possible in manila,
- there are too many power and CPU-load consuming wheels and complications for the animations (also the HD2 has limits )
- and last but not least the photos are not so suiteable for modding.
So sorry.

[REQ] Weather alarm (dutch)

I have an idea for an app that would be great this time of the year.
I'm from Holland and currently we are dealing with allot of snow. The KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) gives out a weather alarm when people need to be more alert because of a storm, lot's of snow or other types of weather that could be dangerous in any way.
You can find the current alarm at the website of the KNMI.
(Sorry, my n00b status does not allow me to add links. Try Google.)
It would be great if my phone could inform me when there is an alarm for the province I'm currently at.
Is there an app like this or is there a programmer who likes the concept?
Dont know if you tried it, but "het weer" has a coulumn with weather alarm. What about "buienalarm"? Both free from the market.
Sent from my x32 using the licking write method....man I am thirsty now!
I have both apps and they are great. 'Het weer' has the weather alarm map, but it doesn't alert you when there is a weather alarm. 'Buienalarm' alerts you in a great way, but it doesn't work with weather alarms. It's only a rain alert.
Combining those apps (with a little extra ofcourse) is what i'm looking for. But i do not have the Android developers skills to write them myself.
Me neither, but i remember some false weather alarms from KNMI the last year, so how reliable would it be? By the way, funny to talk english while you are dutch too :lol
