If you go to this website there is a selection of mp3's recorded by Stephen Fry meant for a talking electronic alarm clock.
http://voco.uk.com/
look in the downloads section.
If anyone knows of a nice program to play them in though, and that would rotate them randomly I would be delighted.
Surur
thx for the link but i would rather a female voice to wake me in the morning

Check this out... http://techdigest.tv/2007/02/watch_the_iphon.html The working slide lock and scrolling mp3 library is cool. Wouldn't mind getting ahold of that software.
oh my god
how do you do the unlock scroll button. i cant figure it out
iphone who what where........haha this is great. oh this gonna be great if they perfect that scrolling feature.
I just want the locker...
how do we do this. and how to get the slide to work. enlighten us or me.
im using the meizu theme which is better that the iphone theme. the wishbar skin is very accurate with the signal strength plus it kicks ass on my 8525
No idea how he did either one. Perhaps it's flash based.
Slider lock
Guys,
He's using something called,
PPL1.20. PPL can be downloaded for free from http://arianesoft.ca
I installed this, but have no clue on how to use it!!!
http://www.tzywen.com/index.php
Any help here?
The video demo is really impressive...
I hope he'l sheare his develpment
To be honest I dont find faking the iPhone very exciting. However many concept in the interface are worth having (Like the sliding lock, the big icons "a la" claunch, etc...
What would be great is use what he developped and then configure our own icons, background, etc... That do not have to be Apple's one (Yes Apple's oens look good but sooner or later we'll get tired of them...)
Kind of a way to have the best of both worlds
+1 that theme is unreal.

It requires programming skills
Basically if what the video shows is tue he did quite a good programming job there (Actually PPL seems ike an interesting tool)
slider

Anyone willing to try reverse engineering an actual slider lock with this program mentioned above?

That would defiantly be cool. I would even host the download on our web servers to avoid issues...
hey send to me if someone makes it. i dont mind being a guinea pig.
i have a wizard and the hermes
Ouch
The account of the guy has been suspended...
I guess that the host doesnt want troubles with Apple (+ probably he had a huge bandwith consumption...)
Obviously it's "programmable" and he seems to have it done pertty nicely
The whole point now is to have him share his development (Too much work to start this from scratch...)
His site is back up
However he is staying mute... No answer on his blog when you post a message..

hey people! here is the new updated slider!
it supports:
* Lock the Pocket PC keyboard inputs - NEW!
* fullscreen without taskbar
* 12 hour support (like “10:22 AM”) - FIXED
* highlighting “slide to unlock” text
* english dates (like “saturday, march 14″)
* error sound plays when tapping anywhere except slider button
* opening sound plays when slider align to right (3 second)
i’m trying to get load external image to background.. it works in flash test file but it not works after the compiled exe file..
Hi,
Can someone tell me how can i increase the number of Alarm Clocks? by default there are three and they are not enough for me.
My device is HTC Leo (HD2).
i wonder if someone knows which registry entries can be modified to add more that the three alarms. there is big room in the screen for more ...
appreciate you replies.
Alarm Clocks
Hi,
my question above now clarified
Alarm Clocks
I have the same question... please help
I'm not sure if you can tweak the existing alarm software, but I've made a little alarm clock/stopwatch/timer app that you can have a bunch of timers on. (It's also more touch friendly than the windows one).
I've attached it if you'd like to try it out.
Justin
Nice work "Turbo4V" ... but your software lacks the function in the HTC's alarm to assign days for each alarm.
i still think that you can modify something in the registry in LEO to have similar functionality of your "Add".
i hope you or anyone else can tell me how to do that ... or ... improve your software to add the selection of days functionality
i want this to. any one know what file in the register? i dont want another app. i just want that on the htc hd2. but i want more then just 3
i want to know as well, i m happy with the existing alarm, all i need is increase the number of the alarms
please help
Any update???
Klaxon alarm clock, i use this one myself.
cant post urls as a new member but a quick google search should find it
I use touch alarm. It´s free and diplays the time in Sense home page.
http://touch-alarm.com/
any news about the subject?
Has nobody seriously found a fix for this problem yet ?
It's a major problem for me, I've had to resort to using my old mobile as an alarm clock!!

Bro you can use G-Alarm
This is Home page
ageye.de/index.php?s=galarm/about
and you can get the full version through some rapidshare search.
I love this program but I have a couple of problems with it..
1. Is there any way there can be a exceptions list added?
Eg. It sends all sound to earpeice except ring tone. As I keep missing mssgs and calls as I cant hear them arrive..
2. This one isnt as important but would be nice, I'm Rocking a full Dusk theme inc Icons but the at the top is a unsightly grey box, any way of skinning it? Hell if some one is willing to educate me I'll do it and post it for others!
I just love this program soo much! (especially with Skype! Coupled with Pocket shield makes Skype actually bearable! )
Sorry If didnt need a new Thread Dev's... Have had a good read to see if any other mention of this but with no joy
God you would think im a leper with the amount of reply's....
Dont all rush at once....
Hi, Have you got solution to the problems? I also face the same problem. I am having HD2.
Please, do not have anyone better in the taskbar icon (S, E). audioroute to the program for HD2, or write to me the folder where I can find and name.Thanks.
hey all,
id like to put in a request for someone to make a record (you kno the things people used to listen to music in the "olden days") as a analog clock. Id would go great with the theme of my phone and im sure others would like it
kinda like this one: http://indiecrafts.craftgossip.com/files/2008/06/the-greatful-thread-record-clock.jpg
thank you!
What does it do?
It is an alarm clock that wakes you up with Yo Momma jokes.
Why do we need it?
Typical alarm clocks wake up with an annoying tone, nature sounds, birds, ... we were woken up all our lives like that. This alarm clock wakes you up with Yo Momma Jokes. It's different and it's funny.
Who is it for?
For people that want to try something different then the usual. Your days starts with your alarm clock.. That's the very first moment where an app developer should make your day different, and better.
What makes it stand out of the crowd?
It uses video. I haven't seen any alarm clocks out there that use something else then audio. The Yo Momma Jokes are handpicked, to select the most funny ones.
Question for you
I have ordered more videos. Should I put them in this free version of in a paid version?
This puzzles me, so I'm really curious about your opinion!
Let me know what you think of the idea/app. Ratings and Reviews are highly appreciated!!
Thanks.
