[APP][4.4+][Modded] Lollipop Messenger (SMS/MMS) - Android Apps and Games

New Google (SMS/MMS) Messenger from Android 5.0 found to work great on devices running android 4.4+ (source: http://www.gizmobolt.com/2014/10/21/download-google-smsmms-messenger-app-from-android-5-0-lollipop/), rooted or non rooted.
This version (1.0.041), has one little bug in some devices; "search" button does nothing.
Also, a lot of people (including me), found the yellow "plus" button very ugly, so I changed the color of the "plus" button and cleared the (non working) "search" button.
P.S.1 If you want "search" button to be visible, download attachment from post#6.
P.S.2 ONLY non rooted users, could try files from post#29.

Not installing on non root Z2

Only problem with using this on 4.4, depending on the color of your notification shade, if you get multiple messages at once, the text becomes black on black. If it's a single conversation text, it's white. Think you can take a peak at color codes?
Edit: Screenshot.

I don't have this problem. Notification text is dark gray and it stays dark gray even on multiply messages.
If you use other than the stock theme maybe it's themes problem.

Don't have theme chooser.
It happens when getting a message from two people, so " 2 New Messages ", is shown. When not expanded, it's a grayish white, and when expanded, it all goes black.
Think you can share a screenshot? If I see it's different for you, I may have a clue at the black on black.

[Morph] Transparent Facebook Widget

Note: New releases (if any) will be posted at its new home here
Transparent Facebook Widget. (Single Widget Version)
Left a little transparent white for readability.
The morphs works just fine as long as you have a Facebook.apk in /system/app.
Code to move/rename:
Code:
adb shell mv -f /sd-ext/app/com.facebook.katana.apk /system/app/Facebook.apk
change sd-ext to data if you dont use apps2sd. Apply the morph after moving the .apk.
Looks great! Any chance of a matching Latitude widget?
Also, I have a black background, any chance of a true transparent widget, like your others?

=======I am not responsible for what you do to your phone. You have been warned=======
-----------Must be on EC10 PnP 0.3 for this to work-----------
report any errors to me and ill get them fixed...i know i dont have a silent button for the notification bar, ill have 1 soon
Instructions :
disable lagfix if you got it on
wipe dalvik cache
wipe battery stats
flash in CWM
Reboot...wait 28 years for it to boot
enjoy!!!
all credit goes to those stated in the link where i got this theme from...all i did was port it to the mesmerize

ill have to make an edit then...is it all dark or all light...the text?
the text is all black, blends in with the background. In the messaging app, the bubbles aren't quite black, so you can just BARELY see the text. White text in both of these scenarios would make this look just about perfect in my eye.

It's all covered in this reference; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831715
For the secondary menu i'ts under "expanded.menu" or something like that, for some reason that one won't work if called with @/color so what you actually need is the original code that was there (something like "?SmallTextInverse", and just remove the "inverse" from the end, and that will change the text color properly.)
For notifications, you'll have to edit XML located within the Layout folder, i'ts listed in that guide too. Let me know if you need help!

Black Themed GMAIL app(White Characters on black background)

BLACK BACKGROUND with WHITE TEXT ----- EASY TO READ ----- Download now !!!!!
Guys,
I downloaded a BLACK themed Gmail App from a website. After installing it, i found that the emails are a little bit harder to read as the characters were in Grey colour on Black. So i Modded the characters to WHITE, which is easily readable.
I have tested it on my Sensation. Working fine. The file is attached.
Special Thanks: Thyrus
Thanks

Wanted to report a couple of issues i ran into:
1) When viewing certain emails (like facebook notifications to be exact), the font color wasn't changed properly, so it was white text with a white background, and therefore, unreadable. But other messages were fine.
2) when i rebooted, the normal themed gmail came back? Really weird, why would that happen?

For the Point #2. It happened with me as well. As i said, i did not develop it, i just changed the grey coloured text to white, which makes it easy to read, so i am not sure what really the problem is because it reverts to basic gmail app.
But there is a solution, whatever ROM you are flashing, just replace the original Gmail.apk with this Black Gmail app(Remember to rename this blackgmail app to Gmail.apk"), and flash the ROM, You wont face this problem anymore.

Haha Working on removing the dividers between messages in the main page and will get the chat bubbles changed man. Stay tuned im going to theme all stock apps like this, so they are all neutral with no madness colours.Do you mean the same blue as the scroller down the side?
Anybody who has dug around a bit will notice the yellow is still there in one place, and the first person to tell where that is will recieve the Apk without it.
Open to any suggestions...
Well I can't find it, but the emergency alerts crashes the program on my phone so perhaps that's where the yellow it's hiding.
Suggestions? Anything but grey, blue, purple, soft colors not quite pastel but like your grey

it's a US thing I think, I'm on ATT, d850.
I can see now how that color thing was confusing... it was late lol. Just download the apk you want, place it on your sdcard or internal storage. On your phone go to my files>sdcard or internal storage>tap the file and select install. It will say something like are you sure and you will take you to security>unknown sources> push that tab to the right and go on with the installation. When and if you want to uninstall go to menu>settings>apps>look for the apk you installed and then uninstall it.

Saw the non - rooted method. Wondering what the rooted method was? Searched and couldn't really find anything except rebuilding the theme. Which I think is the non rooted method.

Rooted method would be recompiling framework-res and push it back in system.
The colors.xml need to be changed.

I have 3 aqpk's, two are black and blue and one is black an red - notifications. I'm using one of them with Swift Dark and they don't interfere with the Substratum Theme.

eNubiX is really nice, thank you!
I think I should try the red one but I am now sick of restarting my phone. I do agree that you should have provided screenshots.
Thanks again for sharing them!
I think I know why no one wanted to put up the screenshots. These APKs will darken your notifications, but does not actually change them. They are still all the black background with hard-to-read dark grey writing and teal accents. I was really hoping for notifications with a black background with white writing and red highlights.
What the APKs did do was change my settings area, but everything does that. I'm attaching the 3 screenshots so everyone can see.
I hope we get a true way to change the background, text and accent color on our notifications some day. It seems so simple it should be part of stock Android.
