Hello guys
I've got a weird problem. I was using my TF 700 and suddenly it stopped. Now I can't install any ROM and what's more interesting wipe internal storage. During the wiping everything is ok beside wiping of internal storage. There is fail in wiping folder data/media. No option of using other ROM because after install ( ZOMBI-X) it can't run
My TF 700 has installed TechFusion+ V4, TWRP 2.8.0.1 and verison of bootloader is: 10.6.1.14.10
Is there any solution of my problem ? Thank You guys in advance
Try "Format data" in TWRP. You will lose all data on your device.
Thank's. I am doing it, but how much time it can take ? Because it's doing for 20 minutes and it didint finished

I forgot to mention that formatting does also a secure erase, which can take a more than an hour, maybe even 2 or 3. Better connect the power adapter.
I've already conncected it. Thank You for Your help. After the procedure I will write the results here
Thank's so much. It worked Do You know what could cause that kind of problem ??
how did you install the rom after the wipe data? using an sd?

Hello, I am in a bit of a jam and am trying to find the best way out.
My device is encrypted using the native Android feature. I have Lean Kernel and CleanROM on the device. So it is rooted/unlocked. I was trying to clean the device further by uninstalling some useless apps with Titanium Backup. Turns out I messed up on something..
When the phone boots to the encrypted device screen, the keyboard doesn't show up! I am not able to get into the phone to do anything!
I have the latest CWM recovery installed. I tried a factory reset and such, but it says it fails to mount the internal SD card. /:
Anyone know how I can fix this and flash a new CleanROM? Data wiping is not a problem for me, but CWM refuses to mount the SD card to do it..
Any advice? I am relatively new to the Android scene, so try not to make things too complicated.
Odin?

This probably wouldn't work, but have you tried reflashing with Odin?

I am looking at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984436
I am downloading the very first package. Since that seems to wipe everything, which is what I want at this point.
Will flashing that work?
I'm not sure if it will work, as I don't encrypt my device. What it will do is wipe your system, data, etc. partitions, but it won't touch your internal SD. This will probably be fine; it will install a keyboard and you should be able to enter your password, that is, if it can flash the ROM properly.

I'm still trying to understand how Android storage works, so I may sound like a noob here haha..
All I have is an internal SD card. I don't have an external one or anything. Are system, data located on another internal flash chip or something? If they are on the internal SD, I would imagine everything would be formatted and reset once this is flashed.
Sorry, I read the linked post wrong...So this will wipe everything, system, data, and internal SD.
As for the difference, the system and data are different partitions than the internal SD.. so normally when you factory reset in CWM, it just wipes the data, not your internal SD or system. What this means is that it won't touch some files, like ones you download from the internet, but it will get rid of all of your apps and appdata, as you know, and these are stored in the data partition.
I got it sorted. Thanks for the help.
Glad I could help!

Just wanna say this thread was a lifesaver, and I'll just leave my experience here for fellow noobs, like myself, stumbling into this issue.
I CMod'd my S3 with Clockwork (following very detailed instructions) and tried out encryption (knowing ahead of time that a factory reset would be in order if I didn't like it). As you all know Clockwork has trouble mounting the encrypted /sdcard/ directory, and won't do the factory reset. I was afraid that since Clockwork couldn't deal with the encrypted data, so too might Odin, leading to the risk of bricking. This thread gave me enough courage to give it a go. Following the above linked instructions solved the problem. Odin had no problem wiping and writing over the encrypted data. after I was back to stock I ran through installing Clockwork and CMod again. And just like that, the problem's fixed.
Thanks a bunch everyone!
EDIT:
I just got a response on twitter from a friend who ran into the same issue with clockwork. According to him, apparently TWRP doesn't have this flaw. My phone's working now and I don't want to monkey around with it anymore, but maybe a more experienced user out there could comment on/confirm this, and maybe add the info to the tutorials (if it's correct).
Thanks again!

Yeah, I was worried I might have created a $200 paper-weight!
I'm glad that my question ended up helping you as well!:good:
Hi all,
I have installed and uninstalled loads of apps/games since buying my Note a month or so ago which has left loads of un-needed/unused files. I wanted to have a clear out but as I don't know which file is for which app etc I didn't want to just start deleting files to find out that I needed some of them. So I decided to do a factory reset as it says it erases everything. I ran through the set up again of my Note, went to MyFiles and see that all the data is still there. How do I totally clear everything so it is as though I have just bought it?. I did think about flashing stock rom from Sammobile to see if that did it, but that would mean having to root it again afterwards+ I have had the stock rom downloading for the last hour and it is only at 0.5/1.1GB. Seems very, very slow from sammobile.
Anyone have any ideas??
UPDATE:
Once the rom had downloaded from Sammobile I flashed via Odin but all the old files are still there!. Now I'm really confused....
If ou have CWM installed go to recovery, mounts and formatting and format sdcard(could be called emmc) DON'T format the ext card or you will loose everything, in fact, its a good idea to remove it so you don't accidently wipe it.

That worked a treat Thanks. Can't understand why that didn't get formatted when I did a factory reset or an odin Flash.

Hi All,
First of all, I'm posting here because I don't have 10 posts to post in development threads.
I have TWRP 2.5.0.2 on my AT&T Galaxy S4, and the 5/30 nightly build of CM10.1. I wanted to make a backup to update to a newer nightly build, but TWRP told me I didn't have enough space to make the backup on my SD.
I looked again and it showed my data partition at 5,272,881 MB, which is obviously incorrect. Anybody have any ideas of what to do from here? I kind of want to do a wipe from TWRP, but I'm afraid of what might happen if I do that.
Thanks in advance
If someone could do me a favor and link my thread in the following thread, it would be much appreciated!

fyirty time
did a full format of the data partition and reflashed the rom, and now it shows up ok.
I've been having this issue also and thought it was 2.5.0.3 that was buggy, I flashed back to 2.5.0.2 and it still showed my /data partition as 68 GB. I'll give your solution a shot, thanks!
Edit: yep that fixed it!

I'm having the same issue with my sprint gs4 and found this thread thru a google search. How do you format your data partition?
Edit: Found the option to format /data in twrp. That worked for me too.
Will formatting data lose the setup? I don't understand why you'd do that if you're trying to make a backup??

Yes, you will lose your data, so back it up by other means. The point is to fix the partition so it can be backed up in the future. The problem is that the size is showing incorrectly, not allowing you to backup at all. Once it is fixed, you can back it up normally.

I have this problem. How was this fixed? I want to be able to backup via TWRP but it is coming up as 81240 MB which I know it isn't.
EDIT: I see that formatting your /data partition can fix it but it hasn't for me. I did a fresh flash a few days ago and formatted it but it is showing up as way too big again.
yeah it's a problem with twrp. formatting data worked for me on cm 10.1, but with cm 10.2 it would go back to insane sizes after installing the rom. i switched to clockworkmod and it works fine now.
Thanks u helped me fix mine

I really need some help...
I installed manually 4.4.1 version using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2523217
(I am having a rooted device with TWRP without any modifications or deletions - used section B)
after the install successfully worked, i chosed to wipe. it was stuck and i used the powerbutton to reload device.
when the device turned on it used emulated storage which means no imei and no efs.
using the twrp (in recovery mode) i can see my full data and efs files.
when i am trying to rewipeqinstall update i get this error: "E:/Unable to mount /cache"
please help me.

Do not turn the device off while clearing the cache.
Reboot to recovery, go to TWRP settings and enable rm -rf option, go back and wipe the cache/dalvik. If THAT doesn't work, you will need to flash the cache.img from the factory image found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
After you do that, make sure you have the latest version of TWRP installed (2.6.3.4) If you don't you can also choose to install that via ADB before clearing the cache.

First of all - thanks for help.
already tried the rm -rf option unsuccessful.
2 question before I'm starting the flash process:
1. Is there a way dumping the efs folder to my computer before?
2. is this the command i should use: "fastboot flash cache C:/image-hammerhead-krt16m/cache.img"?
thanks a lot.

1. Use TWRP to back up your EFS data if you would like. You won't lose any data by just flashing the cache though. All your apps and everything should still be there.
2. If you installed the drivers correctly and that is the correct directory for the file on your computer, that is right! I put mine on the desktop for simplicity.
clearing cache/dalvik is very slow on N5, I found, and so is resetting the phone in recovery. though the progress bar may not move the process isn't stuck, it's still going on in background.

yeah i have a rma out for mine. Luckly i have a spare phone (its a damn $15 go phone) but mine is already shipped. biggest issue is the $440 is tied up in my account until they get the bad phone back. basically i would suggest to anyone that if they are going to flash a rom first thing they should do is back up their efs to their pc and also some sort of could (dropbox, drive, mega, box, etc).

Well in our case I have my efs on my PC from weeks ago restoring it doesn't fix whatever the ROM changed lol
I just rooted my phone, restarted made sure it was working (not the first time I've rooted), then I installed a few zips, restarted my phone a couple times and it was all working fine. I then made a nandroid backup with TWRP, and restarted my phone and it's suddenly running really slow, and I have the constant message saying "Storage Space running out" even though I have over 8GB free. I even just restored my phone to this backup, but as I expected, same error. Any ideas?:crying:

Yup, had no effect at all.. I resorted to flashing the factory image and re-rooting and installing zips. Still interested in a fix for this though, on the small chance it happens again[emoji16]

The next step I was going to suggest was to flash /system again. Some people posted wiping /cache was enough for them, but others had to reflash /system.

Ah that makes sense now that I think about it.. I flashed the entire image (boot, recovery etc.) but should have just done system, would have been quicker. Easy solution right there
