OnePlus One Chinese with CynogenMod Bugs - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently bought a OnePlus One Chinese version from eBay(I'm from Sri Lanka). I have clean installed CM 38R straight away when I got the phone and I'm experiencing a lot of bugs with the operating system. I have signal reception issues with 3G. It is not consistent. And sometimes the mics are not sensitive enough. The person on the other end can't hear me. Also, some apps can't get connect to the internet via wifi( especially facebook). Primary camera goes black sometimes. I'm really frustrated with this and thinking about flashing ColorOS on the phone. I have heard that it's more compatible with the phone. Would this be a good idea?

Anyone?

Try the CM nightlies or milestones. I've been using them for weeks with no problems at all.

I'm using the international version. But it shouldn't really make a difference on a custom ROM

I'm buying a One plus One.. Please help?

I'm buying a one plus one so I need your reviews about the phone.. Are there any known issues with the phone? I've bought it from amazon.in and its shipped but hasn't reached it. I can cancel the order if there are any major known issues.

There are a lot of reviews out there already. I think the big issues (yellow screen and touchscreen issues) have already been ironed out. My wife and I each own one and are generally happy with it.

As long as you didn't get a lemon, the OPO has been one of the best phones I have owned. It also has one of the biggest development support I have seen. To me, personally, I liked it even better than the OP2. I sold the OP2 in like a week and now have the Nexus 6P (amazing phone!) but have kept my OPO as a back up.

I haven't had those issues. I think the mic issue that affects some can be fixed by disabling the 'OK Google' listening

I've bought a oneplus one in februari and i had 0 issues with it.
- No touchscreen issues (that also should have been resolved trough new drivers in the software updates they supplied)
- No yellow line in the screen. (i think that the yellow line occured in one of the first 'batches' of de oneplus)
I am still very statisfied with my One. No issues, great for custom rom flashing and still a very fast phone!
I would recommend it over the Oneplus Two with that sh*tty Oxygen OS..............
no issues here just go for it
Thank you everyone It'll arrive by Saturday.. Excited to get my hands on it

Poor cell reception with wifi on, lineage/cm Roms

I get decent cell reception with wifi off, but as soon as I turn on wifi my cell reception becomes really poor. It has happened to me on multiple cm/lineages roms, and also on Aosp roms, but it's not nearly as bad on the Aosp roms. I've tried multiple firmwares and different versions of twrp to try to fix it. Nothing has worked. If it helps I'm using a chinese opo in the United states.

I'm pretty sure it's not, because I get ok service on some Aosp roms. On CM/lineage roms I get inconsistent reception and basically no reception with wifi is on.

unfortunately, the stutter has not improved on Oreo. In fact, it feels worse.

Has the camera app improved in Oreo?
Has anyone successfully tried flashing NMI81C to an unlocked device? I can't imagine there'd be a problem, but if no one has done it or seen any problems with it then I know what I'm doing when I get home tomorrow. That was the last build my bluetooth music controls worked with, so I'm pretty excited to be able to flash back to it.

I do not think any app was updated. Unless there is some API in Oreo that would inherently improve the cam.
Does anyone know if you can flash the unlocked firmware onto the Sprint's variant of the Essential after it is carrier unlocked?

Oreo running great...only found one bug dealing with wifi hotspot and not being able to select 5ghz as the band to use.
Since flashing Oreo last night I am getting excellent battery life and it appears that I may do better than I was on Android nougat. Personally I really like this phone and no the camera is not the best but for $450 this is probably the nicest phone anyone can hold in their hand at any price point. Once the dads get interested because of price and we can get a port for the Huawei camera I'm sure this camera would do very well

Nice, I will try to flash the Oreo beta of the Unlocked version to my Sprint variants. BTW, do you happen to know how to trigger the UICC unlock menu without having to have the Sprint sim in there and activate the phone? Sprint reps told me the phone is unlocked on their end, but my phone still say invalid sim because the UICC unlock menu has not been activated on the phone itself. Would flashing the unlocked firmware solves this?
Only downside for me so far on the beta is battery life.
On nougat I would go to bed with 100% battery and wake up with 100%.
On Oreo I woke up with like 97%. Keeps dying quicker during the day as well, but this is expected as they mentioned the Oreo framework wasn't optimized for battery life yet.

Not only does it work but definitely recommended as you will get the latest fingerprint sensor fix as well as better screen touches.
I am coming up on 24 hours into this Oreo beta, and it's my daily driver. So far, so good. Battery life seems a bit better for me, although it was great before - hard to do an apples to apples comparison though. No bluetooth issues, in fact, this seems a bit better with Plantronics Voyager/Legend than before - haven't tried in the car yet. I had one spontaneous reboot (I wasn't using it, just sitting on the desk and I noticed it rebooting) but so far, I can't see any reason not to charge ahead. The install did turn off wifi calling, I had to re-enable that. No service/signal issues (on T-Mobile in central Texas).

Touchscreen sensitivity?

Anyone having issues with the sensitivity of the touch screen after the latest update? Im noticing that it doesnt recognise some touches for example when typing (which is a real pain) and also sometimes when hitting toggles.

Latest EU weekly doesn't have that issue.

EU weekly is custom rom based on china dev. I bet OP is on newest global stable. Some people are facing this issue and some not. I wonder if Xiaomi is using few different models of Samsung's displays

You are probably correct, I hear nothing but issues on the stock China and Global. EU runs so well I'm actually surprised anyone bothers with any other version of MIUI.
It is the Global Stable I am on. Was on the EU rom but kept getting the error on play store saying App is too large and it was beginning to be a pain. Is it resolved as I would go back to EU tonight if thats the case.

Hello, I have a Mi Mix 3 Global with the rom 10.2.1.0 and I notice a certain lack of sensitivity. Unfortunately I can not compare it with the previous rom, since it was updated in the first start.

Note 7 pro network problem

Hello everyone,
I just unboxed my brand new N7P one week ago. But I have been experiencing a very worrying issue of network signal going off and the device says no service. But the funny thing is that whenever I am outdoors, the signals are full but when I am in m room, the signals go down and the phone malfunctions by showing the lock screen more often even while in use. I really need a fix for this issue. I have the 6/128gb variant with 10.3.10 stable
thanks for your help.

Going back to an old version might trigger off the anti rollback protection so you rather clean wipe the device and try a custom ROM ,if it still persists do take it to the service centre to have a look.
I am facing same issue from the day i bought it. Currently, i am on 10.3.13 and saw this bug in previous updates also (10.3.7,10.3.10).
Does your problem resolved? Do i need to go to customer care and to replace it?
If i install eu rom, will this some issue using in india?

For above issues, i restart mobile or tap of airoplane mode. Can we have a solution for it?
