Is there anyone that is on EE with the S6 and uses WiFi calling?
I've been using it for almost a week now and I'm finding it hit and miss, the symbol comes and goes and some texts don't send even though I'm apparently connected via WiFi calling....my broadband is stable so I know that's not the cause.
Thanks
There's issues on the 5.0.2 firmware with it, they've apparently released 5.1.1 which fixes this, but no one seems to be able to download it...

Well great news if that's the case, I've had to turn WiFi calling off because of the issues I've been facing.

Same, it should be with everyone by the end of the week, but don't hold me to that, as we all know how unreliable EE can be...

Well I've been waiting long enough so a few more days will not make much difference.
Spoke to someone today who said they were doing 10k IMEIs per day, which works out at just over 7 days for the amount of branded EE S6/Edges they have. But again, EE are pretty crap at communication / rolling things out so don't hold me to it.

It went live yesterday after EE and Samsung cracked there heads together I only did the smart switch due to impatience and the clicking noise was irritating ☺

Maverick I'd suggest hooking your S6 up to your PC with smart switch and upgrading, that's what I did and it went perfectly

You can update via SS? I thought it did a wipe.
Nope when you first connect it up it'll tell you if there's an update
Hooray! ?
Hi guys,
I have a Chinese RN7P in Germany and so far I'm very happy with it. The only major issue remaining is that it doesn't show who is calling me. I have tried several ROMs (Pixel Experience & Evolution X), but the problem persists in both.
Even a new SIM card from my provider (Aldi Talk) didn't help, so I'm really hoping you guys can give me a hint what the problem might be and maybe even how to fix it! :fingers-crossed:
Thank you in advance!

No, nothing is displayed except "Call from Unknown". However, I just discovered that when I did not answer, I got a message from my mailbox that included the number.

They are stored in my Google account. Sadly I don't see an option to export the contact to the SIM where I'd expect (e.g. Contacts - Settings - Export).
I should also note that when I put my SIM into another phone, caller ID works flawlessly. :/

The "Phone" app already has permissions to everything.
Do you mean install an official MIUI ROM instead of a custom ROM like PE?

Puh, that took a while for me to try it out. Anyways, YES, it does work on the official Chinese ROM (both 10.3.9.0 and 10.3.11.0). And it stops working after I then flash a custom ROM. :silly:
So it has to be the ROMs, right? But then why is this not a more widespread problem? I'm really confused now.
By now I have also tried Lineage OS and Havoc, all of them don't show the caller ID while the stock one does. This is positively weird.

Weird indeed as none of the other users have reported this particular bug on LOS or any other custom ROM... Maybe you should bring this up with the devs, in case they have a potential fix?..

Strange but true, i do have the same problem, i have it with an Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
When i am on stock it is no problem at all but any custom rom has this issue. Firmware does nog make a difference.
I just solved the issue, by disabling 4g/volte call funxtion on the sim card that has the issue

As I said before, I "solved" it by using the ROM from xiaomi.eu (currently MIUI 11.2, 20.4.1). I was thinking about trying another ROM now that almost a year has passed, but I simply don't have the time due to the Corona chaos. :silly:

I am facing the same issue on a POCO X3 NFC, strangely only for one of the two used SIMs.
Deactivating "4G Calling" solves the issue, though this is not a solution but a workaround. I don't want to miss the "Enhanced 4G" / VoLTE features, so what's the deal with this problem, which seems to be a general Xiaomi issue?

Hello guys, I recently got my new Oneplus 8T, and, whilst the device is amazing from what I could use it, it has an annoying flaw that I couldn´t find any information of.
When I press a whatsapp, telegram, etc notification, there´s a bit of delay inbetween the press and the start of the app opening. The phone does it the majority of times, as you can see in the video below (at the 10 second mark it opens it right):
Do you have an idea on what could be causing this? Does any of you have the same issue I do? I tried turning off everything related to battery saving, even factory reseting. Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance!

I've come across some people with this specific flaw, I contacted Oneplus and they told me to factory reset the phone and if that didn't help (which did not, since I've gone wayy further with it, installing HydrogenOS and older versions of OxygenOS and didn't solve the issue), it "might" be a software issue and it "might" be solved in the next software update.
For how much have you been with the phone?
What is bugging me is that this problem is too specific for it to be a hardware issue.

Yes, I still have my Oneplus 7 Pro and it works flawlessly. I think I found something crucial.
The problem lays whitin the "Notifications" apartment. I'll explain myself.
As you can see in this new video I recorded
that weird delay shows when I open a notification coming from the tab "Notifications". BUT, when I open the SAME APP (Play Store) from a notification coming from "Other notifications" there's no delay at all, the phone works flawlessly, see how I press to see how my download is going, there's no lag. It would be wonderful if you could try it yourself, and see if that's the case on you unit too.
Taking this into account, I'm almost 100% sure this is a software related problem, and has nothing to do with hardware, probably a bug.
I'll report it to the bug reporting section of Oneplus and see if they can work on it.

The latest OTA kinda did something for me. I get the delay 5 out of 10 times I press a notification. Used to be 9 out of 10 times lol. It's not completely fixed but it's an improvement. What I did was send a bug report to the Oneplus bug reporting site and they said that they will be working on it.
Hello All,
Last month I upgraded my Oppo Find X2 Pro from ColorOS 7 to ColorOS11 (CPH2025NV39_11_C.06) then I experienced faulty repeat press on touch screen (area around bottom edge of the screen) without doing anything. Example of applications those I faced the issue are Lazada, Shoppe and Snapseed. After that on 1 Dec, there was another update released (CPH2025_11_C.57) so I updated again and hope the issue gone but I've no luck.
You can see how the issue looks like from my video link here...

Thanks,

Nothing fixes the ghost touch issue, I tried every rom and every version of MIUI. Totally pointless. If you have warranty, use it, and send back this piece of c**p.

There's a rumor at the 4pda portal that ghost ghost touch issue could fixed by setting tight connection between display cable and motherboard.
Another rumor is connection between case usage and ghost touch.

I contacted xiaomi's local office rather than the store, they asked for proof of purchase but issued the RMA. Just waiting to get it back fixed (hopefully)
Ghost touch is related to display panel, tianma or huaxing, tianma got ghost touch...
It may be hard to fix because fixing tianma ghost touch may cause huaxing to became buggy, i saw that on poco f1 as rom devs needed to make 2 version of the roms to each panel until a middle term could be reached...
Xiaomi got that bad habit to get 2 different panels to same phone...
I never experienced ghost touch in any factory or custom ROM
12.5.3 has been complained about by several, including me. I switched back to 12.0.6, perfect ever since. On the other hand, several people confirmed by telegram that 12.5.4 is good.
i have the same problem... i dont have warranty of the phone so, i have a piece of ****... i need to buy a new phone... i cant wait to another version of miui... itso so annoying for me
For me, it has helped now to set the refresh rate and the screen to 60 Hz. We'll see for how long. All other activities did not help, including the game turbo exclusion.
Unfortunately, but with the 60 Hz refresh, the touch has gone crazy once, but it probably happens less often
Thanks. I checked my tianma. I found such a coincidence "MDPPLATFORM_PANEL_TIANMA_NT36672C_J20S_LCD_VIDEO" How do you think to advertise the phone?

Hi, I bought a few days ago an X3 Pro 6GB and it also has the Tianma panel . So far, no issues, but I'm reading bad experiences everywhere...
I would really love to try custom roms, but in that case isn't warranty voided? Or how do you manage to try custom roms and then claim warranty?
Thanks!
