To revert to KK you don't need anything: restore a nandroid backup or clean flash a KK rom.
All L related questions have to be posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/android-l-developer-preview-help-t2796217

No. Just don't flash old bootloaders and cm 11 will work fine. Only cm 11 Roms require you to update your bootloader.

i would say, if you are rooted and have a custom recovery that supports 4.4.x (Philz Touch recovery), make a nandroid backup with it and try Dokdo project 4.4.2 KitKat for me everything works better then 4.1.2/4.2.2 or 4.3 custom roms/stock and use PA-Gapps Full.
Try it, you can always restore your nandroid backup later if you really don't like it
4.4.2 is actually better for me. I recommend giving it a try.

It's so worth it, trust me.
From the moment i tried 4.4 i knew that i could never get a phone with a lower version.
All the phones i tried it on gets better battery time, runs smoother and overall better than any android version before it.
I have no problems at all on my Nexus S running CM11.
Don't listen to much to everyone complaining about things, try it and make up your own mind!
GL mate!
ok i flash the 4.4.2 ..the rom is super fast..but on browser and some plugin not work and sometimes slow ...so if u dont use browser u can go to 4.4.2 for speed

[Q] XT926 won't boot after installing cyanogenmod

I am trying to install my first custom ROM on my XT926 ota kk 4.4.2 rooted bootloader unlocked. I have cwm 6.0.4.4 and I have tried installing cm 10.2 stable and then I tried cm 11 snapshot and it says it has installed .zip files successfully but when I reboot it just hangs up on the M logo and I have to restore my ota to get my phone to reboot, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
I believe most of the Roms in the Dev forum are still using 4.1.2 base, which means you cant flash them unless you go back to jb first.
There are some 4.4 test builds around you could flash on kk, sorry I don't have the link to them.

I tried one of the cm 11 ROMs from cyanogenmod's website, are you saying that those are also designed for the 4.1.2 kernel? If so does anyone have any suggestions on how to revert back to the jelly bean kernel, Also I was wondering if its OK to download the custom rom.zip file directly to the phone and put it in the right directory instead of moving it from the computer.
Unless they were updated to 4.4 source in the last week, I would say they are still on jb source. Most of the Roms you will find are a jellykat mix.
I posted a guide in the general forum, near the bottom you will find a pre-edited jb file you can use to flash with rsd.
Yes you can DL Roms right to your phone if you wish.

Custom Rom on locked bootloader

Was wondering if superliterom is the only rom I can flash on the latest ne1 bootloader? Or can I run any custom 4.4 build?

That is the only rom that can be flashed with SafeStrap once you are on VRUDNE1 OTA. You can only flash VRUDNE1 based roms and only one exists today.

Superlite ROM is the only one. Do not attempt to flash any AOSP based 4.4.2 ROMs. Bad things will happen.
Edit - Ninja'd.....SNOOP!!!!!!!
That's what I figured from what I was reading. Thank you.

nexus like rom??

just bought this phone i want to know if there i a lollipop rom that is nexus like. no bells and whistles just stock rooted lollipop i searche but there are so many roms and it's a bit over whelming lol
Any one? I only see ROMs with his or that added. I would like a naked stock nexus type ROM. Preferably 5.0.1
I don't think one exists yet. Why not just use one of the ROMs on offer, but don't use the extra features? There's honestly very little difference anyway.

"Stock" Cm11s (what the OPO is supposed to ship with) is pretty close to
nexus, with some cyanogen OPTIONS of course (theme engine and a few other). If want a rooted version of this stock ROM then try this:

Sorry, I missed that part about lollipop. Anyway, CM12 should be coming pretty soon...

Unofficial builds have been out for awhile now. They're pretty stable.
All currently available ROMS use the CM12 device tree, which is why they look so different from the Nexus ROMs.
Clean AOSP ROMs will be released eventually but it will certainly take a few more weeks/months...

Would CM12.1 apk work on 12 ?

Curious, would some of the new apk's in CM12.1 based off Android 5.1 work on the current CM12 ?
Specifically wanting to try the new AOSP Messaging app and new Broswer that were redone in 12.1. Wondering if they would work on 12 ?

Most likely they would. Why not just try it out? Make a nandroid backup first just in case something goes wrong and test them.
