[Q] Newbie question. Flashing to install Google Play in China. - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 , 2014 edition tablet . I live in China and most of the devices blocked the Google Play app.. I have read that the only way to install it is by flashing it with Odin.
If i flash it will i still have the Samsung TouchWizz, Air Commander, S Finder and other specific designed features for the S pen?
Thanks !

After reading some more about the subject i found some answers. It seems that by flashing i can install an european version of the OS which
will avoid any other issues with google apps. It also means i can still have the same original features of the tablet.
What about the updates? When Samsung releases a new update i can install it from their oficial website?
I have also read that by rooting/flashing you can damage or make it unusable How is this possible and how risky it is?

[Completed] [Q] Installing Lollipop for Rooted 4.2.2 Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900)

So I've just rooted my 4.2.2 stock Galaxy Note 3 and I want to upgrade to Lollipop. To this day, LP was only released for Russia and India for SM-N900.
I want to know:
1) Would it be safe to flash these updates from SamMobile, knowing that the SM-N900 is the carrier free, "international" version of the Note 3 ?
2) If yes, are these localized for Russia/India or would I have all options that would be available in a standard English release ? (language is obviously my first concern)
3) If all of the above is fine, would updating by flashing with Odin require a data wipe of the phone, or can I just update and reboot my phone with all apps/data, etc.. as if I've updated using OTA? I want to keep everything I have on the phone as is.
Thanks for taking the time to answer !

Hey, Latest Samsung A series comes with One UI Pie 9.0 Firmware with budget rate. Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with Stylish design and Software. In my opinion and based on some research A series device will get Two Major upgrades. So, compare with Samsung M20 It is worthy. Samsung devices may have some unique features based on regions. If you want those features, you can flash nearby firmware. Don’t flash different model, But you can flash separate area, sometimes it can work better. If the firmware didn’t work, you could flash the correct firmware. The manual method can be used to recover bricked devices. To manually flash the firmware follow below steps.
I found your solution here >>https://www.androidinfotech.com/samsung-galaxy-a20-sm-a205f-fn-g-gn-pie/
Flashing might damge my phone i have heard of adb command but that dosent work i am from pakistan so in my firmware they dont have aod or is it gonna come in other updates
Bro can u tell me which firmware should i flash

new owner ;) quick question

hi Guys my apologies for new thread I will try to remove it when I get the answers
tomorrow I will get new P40 pro which probably will be on first firmware /also I wish install G apps
-is good to stay on older firmware ? or i should update it straight
-which tutorial is best to install G apps for this moment as i saw old tutorials are not working -its mean apps stopped working on phones where that was installed
- when G apps will be installed can bee blocked by google (certificates can run out or they can be blocked by google ? )
-any advices for new user ?
best regards to all
quick answer... keep away from g bull**** as much as possible. All apps can be installed from aurora store. There are few threads about alternatives and atleast 10 for gms.if u cant live without gms there are so many phones within p40 pro price range with gms
If you want to install google services use this latest guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p40-pro/how-to/method-google-login-gsm-install-26th-t4168505
It works on older firmware only (v.131) so don't update right away. You might need to downgrade if your firmware is newer. You can update after installing GMS.

SM-T330 vs SM-T330NU (kernel compatibility?)

Hello, everyone!
Brief history:
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, 8", model SM-T330, which I basically use for work. Lately, the app I use the most has launched a new update which only works on android 6.0 versions and newer. Since the latest update available for my tablet is the android 5.1, I tried searching online for alternative ways to update it, so it can suit my needs (which is btw how I ended up finding this forum). However, I only seem to find the updated kernel (6.0 and 7.0) for the SM-T330NU. I have done some research on these models and it seems that the only difference between them is that the later was designed for the north american market, although all the specs are essentially the same.
Quick question:
Anyway, is there any possibility to update my tablet with the SM-T330NU kernel? Will it work or is it more likely I'll have my tablet bricked?
PS: I don't plan on buying a new device if there is a slight chance I can get it updated by any means necessary.
Thanks in advance!
You could think to flash a custom ROM. Which app is this? If it's an app of videocall, neither custom ROMs can help since blobs are of lollipop and can't support Android 6.0+ apps.

Help updating Android RSE3 Tablet past 4.4.2

Hey all,
I have just bought an audi that comes with the android tablets for the kids in the back seat. They are running android 4.4.2 and no OTA updates are available to it. Due to its old OS, im having problems getting things like bluetooth controllers and even the play store to work correctly (intermittent downloads stuck on pending forever / stalling).
I have seen other tablets of the same variety running android 7 but cannot find the software anywhere on the internet to update to the custom build for these head units.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make this tablet a little more usable in 2023?
Thanks
Request the matching Android 7+ from OEM.
I have emailed the maker of the device, JET OPTO via their website but they havn't responded.
Does anyone know if rooting and custom rom would work on this - retaining its function with hdmi in etc?
I was thinking, another way around it is to use a ?firestick and miracast a phone?
Android 4.4.2 easily get rooted via so-called one-click-tools, i.e.

Hi
Same here. I cant find any info about update. There are some info that ppl have android 7 but no info how to do it. On audiworld someone did it by audi service. Ive made couple phones to service and no1 could tell me how tu update. Ive read somewher that rooting RSE III is very risky, it can freeze, then y can do nothing. In service the told me that they can change my old RSE to newer (silver one) cost is big. I dony want to risk that in couple years problem with update will be thisome. I think best way is to buy normal tablets andro or ios.
I can confirm taht you can update to oem audi android 7, already did it.
Hi, do you have the audi oem look files to update it?
I'm looking for the Android 7 update files for an RSEIII currently running on 4.4.2 as well.
Any news on this? I'm also looking for the update.
