Suddenly my notifications for emails have started to be expanded. I can collapse them with a finger pinch but they don't stay that way permanently.
How do you keep them collapse?

Im trying to understand whats going on with this app i turned the toast notifications on and i left out of the app is it leaving me logged in to facebook chat to receive new messages?
when i left out of it one time i had a new notification on the tile and there was a new message for me but when i left out again i wasnt getting anymore notifications but i was receiving messages am i missing setting or something here or is it a glitchy app at this point?
I feel the same way. I don't know if it's the OS or just the App.

Cannot clear the notifications when the screen is locked. Have to unlock the screen and clear the notifications.
This kind of makes sense though. You don't want for anyone to just dismiss your notifications when they saw your phone lying around, making you miss them. Your finger is needed to dismiss any notifications.

I have no problem clearing email notifications and music widget notification. I haven't received any texts or missed calls to try those. The only notification that is not clearable is the time/weather one.
haha. wait...nevermind. I'm dumb. wrong phone. the above was in reference to my M9. I'll have to get the A9 from my wife to test.

In my old phones, when an SMS comes in, I slide down the notification panel, I can see the entire content of the message.
But in the Mate 9, I can only see the first two lines.
Problem is when using my banking app. When I request TAC, it comes as SMS the moment I switch to the message app to get the code, the banking app automatically logs out (that is how it has been programmed for security purposes). The banking app also doesn't allow split-screen.
Is there a way to get the notification show the entire message when I swipe down the notification panel?

Have you tried swiping down the notification panel with one finger to open it, then using a two-finger swipe-down on the sms notification itself?

It seems that there is no way to get the notification show the entire message when we swipe down the notification panel.
I think it is maybe by design for security purposes.
It doesn't seem like it's for security if it's still showing the first line. I've had no luck replacing the default messaging app with Signal, either, which should have fixed this problem -- the phone lets me change the default, but then I stop getting any SMS messages at all until I change it back.

I use Nova Launcher Pro.
I have a problem with notifications. Notifications work in whatsapps and sms, I see them on the top bar.
Instead, in other apps (calendar, inbox by gmail, netatmo security for example) are not seen. They appear quickly on the screen and then disappear.
Can someone help me?
I've already tried to modify the power saving options, but it does not change anything, even by changing the "special access" menu.

Have you gone into Nova settings and down to Notification badges, tap that and down on the bottom you will see TeslaUnread and enable the apps you want to get notifications from?

My problem is of not having notification icons in the status bar for applications (for example the notifications of Netatmo, the security camera app ).
I have notification icons only for messaging programs (like whatsapp, sms etc.). For other apps, I have the only notifications that appear on the screen and soon disappear.

About phantom vibrations, today I was in front of my pc when I heard a vibration without notification on the phone and I noticed on the PC that I just had an email, so the ghost notification was due to the arrival of the email!
Im having the same issue, I get a vibration, and a quick flash of a notification.
So if my phone is in my pocket, by the time I get it out the notification will be gone.

I have a Samsung galaxy s6 phone. Whenever I have a event in my calendar the notification pop's up and disappears within a few seconds without me dismissing it.. I also dont see the notification reminder in the top bar to remind me.
So I will not know if there is any meeting etc until I open the calendar. This is really frustrating me since I tend to miss some meetings because the notifications dont stay.
If I go to the safe mode and the calendar notification seems to stay in the top bar and works as expected. It doesnt seem to work in the normal mode. It would be great if somebody can help me resolve this issue.

Has nobody faced this issue. I am not seeing any response so far.
this is not an issue, since months (years?) ago google made a modification on their calendar.
The event notification will disappear when the event is done. i.e.: the event starts at 1pm and ends at 2pm, the notification will go away at 2pm.
And yes I agree, this is very annoying ! Sometimes you need the notification all day long, or until you actually do the action and then dismiss the notification.
