[Q] Port Moto G Roms to Moto G 4G easily? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
As we all know moto g and moto g 4g arme almost similar, except external sdcard and 4g internet connection.
So I ask myself if moto g roms work on 4g edition? And much more interesting what do I need to change in rom.zip to get the sdcard and 4g internet connection to work in my Moto G 4G ?
Is there an easy way to port roms from g to g 4g, because for moto g there are much more roms available than for the 4g edition
Hope somebody can tell me
Regards nbock

[Q] Will the LTE variant stay under the overall Moto G?

My Moto G LTE should arrive tomorrow. I didn't know if there were plans for a separate forum section for the LTE version or would discussion of it stay here.
any ideas?
I too would like to know!

there is a unified forum for all variants. i. e. XT1028, XT1032, XT1033, XT1034. so I think there won't be any separate forum.

Well someone who already has the Moto G LTE said here that the original Moto G's roms don't work on the LTE model, I think we need a Moto G LTE section. The LTE model name is XT1045.
It'll be interesting to see if the differences between falcon and peregrine are so significant that you can't swap ROMs between the two with some adjustments.
Of course they won't work out of the box, the modem hardware is different. And there's the external SD card. But if the remainder of the partition layout is the same, it shouldn't be too hard to support both trees at once.
As long as the threads are tagged properly this is a non-issue IMO. (See US and Canadian variant coexisting like the T889/T889V and I317/I317M.) They could also make a subforum like they have for other devices such as the Galaxy Ace S5830/S5830i or the Note II N7100/N7105
Indeed, a subforum would be a good idea.

Flash Falcon Rom in peregrine?

Hey guys,
I wanna buy a moto g 1st gen. Now i noticed that there are much less Roms for peregrine than for Falcon moto g. Now my question is: can i flash any moto g 3g Rom on moto g Lte? What will i loose only Lte and SD card support or the whole phone? Which one should i buy because im extremely interested in custom roms:what:
Thanks in advance for help :good
Nope, that won't work.
If you want more options when it comes to custom roms, falcon simply has more of them. Don't buy it if you need more storage for games and what not, 16GB just doesn't cut it.

I tried the tool but I don't think it supports my model I think it's only for GSM (XT1032) because it started to say no Sim card my but Moto G is CDMA so I doesn't need a Sim.
