Hi,
I see you are familiar with your device section and also it's Q&A section, as you've taken part in discussions there, even on this topic. I suggest you create your own thread there for this or future questions.
Please note this sticky at the top of the Assist section,
> General discussion > XDA Assist > The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
We are here only to help members navigate the site, not support. And you navigated it yourself. ?
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.

Hey guys. Can anyone help me finding an Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM for a Prestigio MultiPhone 7600 DUO? The only thing I found, is this http://www.442kitkat.info/mp3-0/prestigio-multiphone-7600-duo-6205.html
But when I try to download the ROM, it's asking for some survey or something, and there's actully no survey, just nothing happens. sigh.
any owners of this phone here? thx in advance.
Sir,
You are a Senior member, and that is supposed you know exactly where and how to ask for that, isn't?
For more relevant answers I suppose you know you can post directly in one of this forums:

The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.
Our XDA Assist team will give you links to threads/forums that are relevant to your problem. You may be pointed towards guides and instructions that can be quite complex, so you will still need to read carefully and be cautious before attempting to make software changes to your device. It is essential you are in the correct forum for your device model; what works for one can ruin another.

Hi,
As an experienced senior member on XDA, I believe you've missed this sticky at the top of the Assist section.

Please use your device section for help. Or a general section.
Thanks, thread closed.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Please standby while we have your thread/question moved to the appropriate sub-forum for your device.
For future reference you can find your device sub-forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
OnePlus One
Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum (this is where your thread is going to be moved to):

Good luck!
I had an usb flash drive connected to my Nexus 5 using Stick mount from Chainfire. I left it copy many files and later i could not unmount the volume. So I rebooted but every time it says it's mounted, even though it's disconnected, and in file manager it shows the folders on the disconnected device. I tried to connect another device, successfully mounted, but when I unmount it instead of saying no mounted devices it says the previous device is connected. Tried to restore a Nandroid but it didn't work. What happens?

It seems to me it's not a problem specifically related to the particular device, so I posted on the general board. If any moderator thinks it would be more appropriate to move the post there's no problem to me, I didn't find a suitable category for OTG specific problem, that's all.
It's possible that it is a device specific problem, and asking within your specific device forum should be your first port of call when encountering a problem anyway. So my advice is to ask in the Nexus 5 help thread that that I linked you to earlier. Or you can ask in the general Android q&a section if you want to.
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
But it makes more sense to ask in your device forum.
PS. XDA Assist isn't a general board as you call it, we're not a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction.

How to unlock bootloader of spice mi-497
Android KITKAT 4.4.2
I want to install Custom Recovery.
Help me Please.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
I didn't anything related to your question on XDA / Google. Are you sure that the bootloader is locked?
You may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help.
Since your device is relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond.
Good luck.
I don't know. Actually Once I was upgrading my device and it failed lots of times. I was doing it without unlocking the bootloader.
