Can anyone help me to remove the page indicators on the stock launcher? They get in my way more than help. If it's not possible to remove them is it possible to move them? Thanks in advance.
I'm not actually sure if you can remove the home page indications in the LG launcher, however, you can probably easily install a different launcher and remove them. I use Apex, and can remove them with a toggle via Apex Settings.

I just want to know how to get example1 instead of examplecurrent (attached).
I am ultra new to this modding stuff and have no idea what to even call this bar. But I am wanting to the the transparent 5 icon thing w/ phone messages ect at the bottom instead of the little standout-ish 3 icon one... help plz =P
All you'll have to do is install LauncherPro from the market. It is a launcher replacement app and is extremely popular. You'll be able to choose what apps/icons to put in the dock(that's what the bar is called ) along with all sorts of other customizations. There are other launcher replacement apps like ADW, GO launcher, Zeam, etc. Each have their own advantages and you'll just have to see what works best for you and your phone.
Then what?!
Ok I have downloaded LauncherPro , I believe cm7 already came with ADW or w/e so how do I change over and try the new one out and mess with settings and all that?
When you go to the homescreen you should get a popup asking you which launcher to use. If not, there's an app called home switcher or something like that. The settings can be found by pressing the menu button then selecting preferences. To change which apps and icons are in the dock, just long press on the one you want to change and you'll get a popup menu.
ok so i was wondering if there was a way to lock the dockbar in adw in place so there is no way to make it disappear and also a way to make the apps in the app drawer stay above the icons in the dock so you can read the labels beneath them.
I have searched the settings and can find no way of doing these things
Can anyone help?
Thanks

I am running the stock Rogers rom (2.3.3) and am rooted.
The phone came preloaded with 'phone' 'internet' 'email' and 'applications' shortcuts at the bottom of the screen (like so http://www.androidincanada.ca/web/c...9_with_three_year_contract_54999_outright.jpg). I would like to replace 'email' with the Gmail application and possibly add messages to the list. These items however can not be dragged around like normal home screen shortcuts/widgets.
How can I do this? I am rooted!
I think your best bet is to use a different Launcher that you can customize. I use ADWex it lets you chose from lots of different dock bars and you can use any icon you want or even edit the icon. Just be sure to download Home Switcher so the you can go back if you dont like the launcher and If you like whatever launcher you chose you can delete Twiz launcher all together with Titanium backup since you are already rooted.
Thanks for the reply, I would ideally like to keep the stock launcher. Is there a way using root explorer to change the path of the email icon so it goes to gmail (or even messages)
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to put more then 5 apps on the bottom of the screen in the app bar? Im currently exploring nova launcher and its working well but I wanna put less apps on the home screen and hopefully put more in the bar at the bottom and maybe if there is something out there that'll let me put a lot of apps in the bar and use it to like scroll through the apps I put in there.
Thank you
You can change the dock to accept up to 7 icons with Nova Launcher
Other than that, create folders on the dock and add shortcuts to each of those would give you unlimited dock icons
Or look for an app in the play store that has some sort of side or bottom bar you can add to like this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.dock&hl=en_GB
Best way to remove clock or move the position on lock screen? Which launcher do you use? Not interested in rooting and I can't find a way with stock launcher. Thanks
