Hello what is the hboot version in this firmware please?

If I have a 401.5 rom, would it be better to keep that firmware or install this new one?

Don't think it matters too much... I sometimes update FW before the new ROM comes out and sometimes the other way around.
Never had issues with either.

Hey there sir, if i already flashed Stock firmware ( 6.09.401.10) with red warning, can i just Flash this over it? Will it work?

Did you get a successful message?
Make sure you have the correct MD5, you might have a corrupt download.
Follow the flashing guide to the letter. Vomer's Guide, "SECTION 2: FIRMWARE UPGRADE"
Remember, you have to do the flashing command when in RUU mod twice. the first one is system preparation and the second actually installs the FW.

Where do check for version of the firmware?
in Settings/About/Software information it shows the version that the ROM is based on. If you are using a 4.09.401.05 based ROM this is what it will show...
You can boot into bootloader and see the version at the top or do "fastboot getvar all" when in bootloader and you'll get all your phone's info.

Not working for me got a error: FAILED (status read failed (Too many links)) and it's gone into some weird mode like bootloader but say's RUU USB and my os is in red and it says os-4.09.1700.1 (6.09.401.10) What should i do? Never had this happen before
Edit:It continued flashing in bootloader and it skiped some bits in the firmware i rebooted bootloader and all is fine

This happains when the connection between computer and cell breaks. Flash it again and replace the cable with some other usb cable. may be cable problem

It is the latest firmware that was released for the M7 WWE. not sure what version GPE is on but I know that I used a GPE FW before on my sense rom.
I would read about it more in the GPE forums...

ok, well have you tried relocking your bootloader and flashing RUU package back to full clean stock? if you`ve already done that properly (not by flashing some custom stock rom through recovery) then I guess its a repair shop job.

1st you need to find your firmware version, boot into bootloader and the info is there and then download the appropriate RUU package as these are region specific, I can tell you how to do it without much hassle so long as you have adb setup on your comp already and the unlock token or application used to unlock your bootloader.......
you can find all the RUU packages for pico here : http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Pico
tell me which 1 it is and I`ll extract the files needed to be able to update it via sdcard

ok I have the specific RUU package for your region downloaded and I`ve extracted the rom.zip from the package, now I`m in the process of uploading the file for you. So you have adb working? the unlock token you used to unlock your bootloader or utility that will do the same job?
Ok here`s the full procedure for you
Download the the full firmware stock rom from here: http://www.freefilehosting.net/pj03img press "DOWNLAD THIS FILE" then enter the captcha, the file name is "PJ03IMG" do not modify it in anyway.
Copy the PJ03IMG file to the root of your sdcard (not in any folder)
Boot to Bootloader and connect usb to phone and computer, open CMD on windows or Terminal on Linux and type the following:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
you should now see on the phone that your bootloader has been "re-locked" if you see that you can now press the power button on phone to change to bootloader (mode see attached pic 1 at the bottom), now the phone will look for files on your sdcard (see pic 2 attached at the bottom)
at this point it should find the PJ03IMG file and a loading bar will appear on the right hand side, be patient it takes about 30 secs to load it. When its finished it will ask if you want to flash the update or not, use the volume keys to move the selector to yes and press the power button and the process will begin to totally reflash your phone back to stock once done it will ask you to reboot phone, voila done. the first boot will take some time as its a fresh install so give it afew minutes to get to homescreen, assuming all is well and phone is working as it should we can get a recovery back after unlocking the bootloader.

If you're S-Off and superCID you can flash it. But if your firmware is the latest developer one (1.32.617.30) there is no need, it's the same. Just wait for next version.

This is WWE firmware I.e Europe so for best signal ect, tmo will work best for your device, unless you are using a rom based on .17 then is recommended to match firm to rom base and latest tmo is .33 right? That dropped before this so I'm guessing it got the latest fixes ect first

Unless I missed something, this thread has complete firmware with the red letter warning removed while the other thread has firmware with the red letter warning included. There is a separate flashable to remove the red letters there, but these are premade with the warning removed. So, the threads are different as far as I can tell.

Please help: How to return htc u11 to stock

Hi guys,
My phone now is on LeeDroid custom ROM (Build 1.03.401.6.9_g CL923215)
What are the steps to return the htc u11 to stock please?
The original software number of my phone is: 1.11.400.4
EDIT: I went to: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72425224&postcount=5
& downloaded stock recovery & nandroid TWRP backup (for 1.11.400.4).
However, I couldnt flash that nandroid TWRP from TWRP recovery.
Long story short, I just got the phone today, I made a big mistake by not inserting the simcard in & testing to see if the phone working or not.
So, I went straight through the process of unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP, Rooting, Installing custom ROM without making a nandroid backup.
For all that, the phone did not recognize the sim cards (tried both my sim & my gf's sim. not working)
The store will take back the phone as long as I return it to stock.
Thanks for your help!!!

Restore the TWRP backup, check everything is working, then flash stock recovery if you need to. The stock Nandroid should include recovery asfaik. I'm more of a trial and error guy lol. Read guide pages to know for certain, check HTC 10 guides, same steps.

Your going to need a full signed RUU zip matching your original firmware and CID buddy.
Based on your original build number its an Indian dual SIM device so here is the ruu:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634780026
1. Rename it to 2PZCIMG.zip
2. Lock your bootloader
3. Drop the zip on your external SD card.
3. Boot to download mode, at that point you will be prompted to flash... Accept... Profit.
If you don't have an external SD.
1. Lock your bootloader.
2. Boot to download mode.
3. Open a cmd window and run the below commands.
fastboot orm rebootRUU (hit enter)
fastboot flash zip (drag the zip into the cmd window then hit enter)

On the PC side, what was the exact error message?
you can ignore the warning from the phone side.
I had a similar issue the other day, but then I was able to run the RUU upgrade to rest my phone back to stock as I had to ship it back for a refund, to get the new Red ones
When I ran the RUU thing it wouldn't detect the phone, did a few things, and then it was finally able to detect the phone.
and when it started updating the Boot image it hung for a long while, I had to restart the phone back into download mode, then run the RUU again, and it was able to continue from there.

[Tool][Unbrick][Reset][Fix for bad Signal] Stock Firmware

Unbrick tool by One-Team - EypCnn
First: This tool seems to be from EypCnn, One-Team. All credits to them!
EDIT2: I no longer own this device, so i will leave this thread here for people to use. But don't expect any direct support from me .
What can this tool do?:
Restore phone to Stock(International) Firmware (S048) Marshmallow (Locked & Unlocked bootloader)
Fix Lost or bad Signal / IMEI any software Problem
For who does this work?
Pretty much any Lenovo P2 Variant (Chinese and International)
Phones which can access bootloader(you have to boot into it)
Works on Locked & Unlocked Bootloader
Installation aka. Flashing-Steps
Put your phone into bootloader (which is also fastboot) mode.
Download the folder and unzip it.
Connect your phone to your pc.
Go into the unzipped folder and open "flashall - stock reco.bat"
Wait, for the process to end, your phone will reboot on its own.! A stock lenovo bootlogo will show up !
You can disconnect your phone cable from pc and plug into a wall charger, just to be safe. Once the lockscreen is showing up, you're done.
If you want to flash Custom Roms:
look below:
WHEN MOVING TO CUSTOM ROMS NOW:
1. Boot to twrp. (Make sure it is pietwrp from telegram or the official 3.2.3 or later version)
2. Select WIPE menu option
3. Select data partition
4. Change file format to f2fs or anyother.
5. Go back to Start Menu of TWRP, choose Reboot Menu Option
6.Reboot to Recovery
7. Repeat Steps 2 and 3
8. This time select EXT4 when changing file format
9. Do Step 5 and 6
10. Wipe System,Cache and Dalvik-Cache partitions
( for older twrp versions: 10.1 If you're on official twrp 3.2.3 or lower, you have to flash pietwrp or latest twrp now !)
11. Flash your Custom Rom, Gapps (optional) and latest Magisk(optional)
12. Wipe Cache and Dalvik-Cache
13. Reboot. First Boot might take a few minutes but never longer than 7minutes.
If it takes longer, you're encounter a so called bootloop.
Comment hear if that happens, containing information on your twrp-version, rom, gapps, magisk and mods(if present) you're using.
When you corrupt your internal Storage or geht TWRP Error 1001, Error 7:
1. Repeat steps 2-6
2. Repeat steps 7-8
Download(Official Link)
2nd Link(reuploaded because some couldn't download it from androidfilehost): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wUOZiTwW8mo0IheAGONyj9-QnjimnY2M
I will help if questions arise.

Thanks a lot. You literally saved my life!
Works like Magic
Thanks a lot for saving my ass . simplest way to downgrade to mm too. Thanks again
Wait.... downgrade to MM? Does this mean you can regain your signal or did @krishnakoonala get it wrong?
I have a spare P2 lying around that I never used because the IMEI got corrupted and I couldn't flash the bootloader files since I was unlocked.
I assume this wouldn't solve my issue?

My p2 was bricked and , stuck in boot loop. I followed the above instructions, 10 mins into it , it booted with mm version, the same version when i bought and booted for 1st time. It was like a new phone to me.
So i assume if one has upgraded to noughat and want to downgrade but is worried he might brick his device, one can take a back up and try this tool. It works flawless.
No harm in trying this one if ur p2 can boot up mate. Give it a shot. Good luck
Cheers
This tool has saved my device from multiple over a span of two years soft bricks. Can confirm it to do wonders.

It flashed everything you have when you buy a new phone. And no, it doesn't lock your bootloader.
So you can either :
- keep using MM Stock Rom S048
- Update via ota in System like you normally would do.
- Update till latest Firmware, then flash twrp- and then Custom Rom of your Choice.
Bootloader is in the same state it was before you used this tool.

You can flash it on unlocked bootloader or locked as well.
So many thanks for bringing up tis tool for us!
This thread should be stick as the "New user" thread is, they definitely belong together.
Download source
Thanks guys, if this works I can now revive my phone. But can someone please upload the tool to another place like google drive. From android filehost it will take an eternity to download!

The error is telling you exactly what you need to do - you need to update bootloader to the required version. If you are attempting to flash the factory firmware, the required bootloader and baseband files should be included in the zip file.

The screenshot you posted describes the problem. When you flash a factory image, it first checks the device bootloader and baseband versions to make sure they are up to date. If they are out of date, you get the error as shown:
Device bootloader version is 'mw8998-002.0059.00'
Update requires 'mw8998-002.0076.00'
You need to update the bootloader and possibly the baseband version.
The absolute easiest way to flash the factory firmware is with the Android Flash Tool. Leave your device connected to your computer, and go to this link. Allow ADB keys access when requested. Before you flash, make sure you click the pencil icon to choose options, as the tool selects Wipe Device and Lock Bootloader by default.
If you are still trying to flash your device manually, make sure your Platform Tools are up to date.

"FAILED (remote: Command Flash Error)" -- When flashing bootloader
When I was flashing factory updates on my Pixel 2 last night, I got an error at the first step (using the flash-all.sh method), when it flashes the bootloader: sending 'bootloader_a' (38728 KB)... OKAY [ 2.095s] writing 'bootloader_a'...

I don't say this to be rude, but if you don't know what you're doing, nor understand the basic concepts at play here, you shouldn't be tinkering with your phone.
It looks like the user who posted that thread was able to fix his issue by sideloading the OTA. Do you have a custom recovery such as TWRP installed, or is everything stock?
I can provide instructions on how to sideload the OTA later today, but I must emphasize how important it is for you to understand what you are doing, because doing something wrong could result in bricking your device.
Lastly, please don't call me "bro".

Ok sir i don't installed any custom recovery now my devices all things is stock
Alright. Here's how to sideload the OTA.
Connect your device to your PC.
Download Pixel 2 December 2017 OTA. You can also try the December 2020 OTA. Do not unzip or extract these files, you will use them as-is.
In bootloader mode, use the Volume + and - buttons to select Recovery Mode, then press the Power button.
You will arrive at a screen with a green Android and "No command". Hold down the Power button and click the Volume Up button.
You will now be in the recovery menu. Use the Volume buttons to select Apply update from ADB, then press the Power button.
On your PC, open a command window in Platform Tools. Use this command: adb sideload, insert a space, then drag and drop the OTA file you just downloaded into the command window.
Press Enter. The sideload process will begin. Once it finishes, you will be taken back to Recovery Mode. Select Reboot now.
Your device should boot into Android. At this point you should be able to reboot to bootloader and use the Android Flash Tool to flash your desired update.

Sideloading the OTA is actually the safest way to update, and the least likely of bricking your device.
As long as you're able to access bootloader, your device isn't truly bricked.
I understand your consternation, especially as it appears you're fairly inexperienced regarding this. Simply follow my instructions and you'll be fine. I'm trying to make this as easy and foolproof as possible for you.
