So yeah.. I flashed a f2fs ROM about 4 months ago.. I then flashed back to ext4 after hearing how bad f2fs is for the I internal storage because it didnt support "fstrim command" yet or something..
Can someone fill me in on what's really going on with f2fs. Personally, I see NO improvements from ext4.

You need numbers and graphs to prove that. Simply stating your opinion isn't good enough. In my eyes, the file system we already have is good enough and if someone wants to prove to me that this other file system is better they'll have to do the research to prove otherwise.
Besides, we're already onto lollipop, anything on kit kat is pretty much irrelevant now. As every day passes, lollipop becomes more and more stable for the opo.

At least one decent soul could have replied whether options detaching spen was still working for them after 4.1.2 update. A simple "Yes it works, you have a problem", or "no it is a common problem" would have suffice. Is it that difficult to reply to an Android friend?

Mine is rooted & bone stock. Your problem is not indicative of bad firmware. It is just a fluke, sucks to be you(j/k), maybe
All you most likely had to do was a factory reset. Custom roms are fine, but I actually like how this stock firmware runs.

Now it uses less ammount then before. Before 80-63 mb free.
After -200-180 mb free.
Already flashed.
The system is much faster, respond more quickly to commands. For now.
See how this week-end is manifest.

EDIT: CRT-OFF Now doesn't work
Flashed it on cm 10.1. Apps are opening faster although it maybe due to faster animation tweak.
So far so good. Thank you!

Works fine on JellyMod 4.0... thanks for sharing!
Just flashed on cm10...
Working awesome. Free ram is now ~371mb
PLEASE BE AWARE. Read this post.

I've noticed that the ram managment still almost the same.
After installing this "mod", the only thing that I've seen, is, if you check in dev options, animation speed is set into 0.5x, and some changes in build prop, nothing special.
Please read carefuly before install this.

Well, not everyone got the update since Samsung suspended the new update due the issue that the update has. So we hope the best to come.
Do you mind if I ask why did you update your phone?
There is some root methods as they have been talked about, although its questionable if they are truly malware or not. But many people on the VZW S4 side have used it including these cleanup tools to remove any traces of the supposedly malware side. So its upto you to decide if you want to use that method or not. That's about all we can say here on this as we cannot link to those methods right now as the moderation team is trying to evaluate if those root methods are malware or not.

Cause I'm the type of guy who wants stability... And if there's an update that will provide such stability, then I'm all for it. And aslo, despite all the post going around about it being almost impossible to root after taking the update, I just didn't believe it to be so. Oh, and also because I'm a bit of a risk - taker as well! ?

Yeah, I am sure it will. Thanks for posting this though! Being able to swipe the dock to put the phone to sleep is great! That combined with Sense 6 allowing you to double tap to wake makes me use the power button much less which is great. Not a fan of how they moved it from the left to the right. Long pressing the power button for the flashlight is also very useful.

My point is that posting this kind of thread in a q&a section isn't going to achieve anything. Devs develop what they want to develop, and these kinds of requests are very rarely fulfilled.

Chances are... if you need someone to link you a tutorial, you wouldn't understand it. You need basic linux knowledge and a overall good understanding of computing.
There is no "one quick stop shop" as you'd have to port the ROM and make the ROM boot.
Porting and making a ROM or forking it isn't as easy as you think it is.

Thats how programming is. You have to figure things out on your own, but if u dont know any programming languages or algorithms/data structures, I wouldn't bother trying to "port" something to work on the OPO.... even if u did research it and finally got it up and running--Android L will be out.
Ok mabye later but thanks anyway
