I need step by step guide how to upgrade Spice MI425 to ICS
I have factory installed android Version 2.3.6 unrooted only
please guide me step by step from where i can download ICS and how can i update

Follow the link below in my sign
i installed latest version of kies.
But its not showing latest firmware.it just shows current firmware.
Please tell of the solution if anybody knows.

Rooting guide:-
Install iroot on pc
Than download pc drivers
Install them.,
Now enable usb debugging
How to enable?
Go to settings/about phone/
Now click 7 time on buildnumber
Go back to setting see here new option of develer option
Go thro it and enable usb debugging..
Now connect ur phn to pc ..
Open iroot and click on root...
Its to simple to root this mtk 6592 octacore phone
Lollipop rooting:-
As we know lollipop rooting is not easy as compared to kitkat rooting.
so today im going to share lollipop rooting trick on the demand of many users.
tools needed:- Sp flash tool for pc
prepare flash tool and also install proper drivers.
now download lollipop recovery for X8 from this link:-

than flash it thro sp tool and after that flash supersu.zip
end
Scatter file:-
Download Here
When u flashed recovery thro sp flash tool it will end with an error.
Ur phone will not turning on.
Don't worry.. Just pull out back cover of ur phn and see
Their is a small reset button, press it with pin, than press power button ur phn will turning on.

Carliv touch recovery is also out for this phone

I upgraded my phone to lollipop and now it wont root, pls pls help ! I can see that many are having the very same problem so pls try to resolve it and thanks for all your support .
