First I installed clockworkmod 2.3 (something)
Then I tired installing new rom, didnĀ“t work. Boot loop.
In some forum it was adviced to update recovery. Did that, now I cant even accsess recovery.
What should I do now?
It is a gen1 device btw...
My apologies, but there is not a specific forum for your device. Also a quick search came up with no good information. I would suggest posting up in the thread linked below.

I recently purchased a Galaxy GT-S7262 and successfully rooted it. I tried installing a deodexed ROM but my phone didn't boot. I then reinstalled the stock ROM from sammobile.com and tried rooting again. But this time, when i installed CWM and tried booting into recovery, the phone just gets stuck at a white screen. I therefore cannot install Superuser.zip to root the phone. I have combed many forums but haven't found any method which works. Could you please point me in the right direction? I'm really missing out on the many benefits of rooting. Eagerly awaiting a response. Thank you.
Hi,
I've only found one thread with recent discussion on rooting your device. Seems to be challenging. I suggest you take the time to read the entire thread. And if you have more questions, ask in the thread.

If you can't find help there, you'll have to ask for help here....

CWM not compatible and can't find phone in TWRP. Any ideas?
Hello. If I understand you correctly, you are searching for a Recovery for your device. Unfortunately a quick search turned up no Recovery for your Device. I would advice you to post up i the link below.

Thank you. After doing a lot of digging and a couple weeks I got CMW to work. Seems that my phone is a chopped up version of another.
Glad to hear you got it sorted

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately there is no dedicated section here on XDA for your phone. I'd suggest you ask your question in the general q&a section here:
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And continue looking for other sources of information online.
Good luck!

i rooted my phone and now it is stuck on the welcome logo and i tried hard reset and also tried installing new roms but i keep on getting an error {Invalid OTA package, missing scatter}
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
There isn't much ROM development for your device. However, I would still recommend posting in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum as there is no dedicated forum for your device. Please note that in order to post, you will need to create a XDA account.

I humbly implore the help of the android gods, for I am at my wits end!
For some background, I love this ZTE Z5s it's fast and snappy and well made. Recently I started playing around with google cardboard, got a VR box and I was very impressed. Especially with the cedar point roller coaster VR ride! Some of the other VR apps didnt work correctly, seemingly because I was on android 4.2 (On my Huawei P8 with android 4.4.2 it worked fine)
And so, I was on a mission to upgrade firmware to 4.4.2. seemingly a trivial task, since the 4.4.2 firmware was an official factory release.
When booting into recovery mode CWM 6.0.4.5 (which was in chinese btw. Yeah, a lot of fun to decipher. used English version as guide) I located the 'install from zip' option and pointed it to the new firmware. To my dismay, the update failed. The translation saying something like CWM 6.0.4.5 cant upgrade to 4.4.2 and i need a newer recovery manager.
And then... the recovery loop started. It doesnt boot into anything, shows the nubia symbol and goes straight to recovery.
I have since tried a factory reset, but to no avail. Same recovery loop.
Is anyone able to assist on this? Or have I just gained myself a shiny doorstop? lol
Is this the correct space to post this? Apologies if not.
Also, I have installed android SDK and device is not listed when I run the 'adb_devices' command. Was thinking I could put a 4.2 firmware back on the device, and run CWM again using this.
