Yes..it will not work with stock...you'll need customs one that is based with 4.3 atleast.

You can try systemui patch module 1st..search it in xposed window tab..if not working...i'll up mine for you but the navigation button is like default cm11..if you're ok with that..

For that you need a theme installer. Is you're phone running on 4.4.2 stock ?

Wipe, Reflash rom. Don't hard edit these files. Use Xposed framework or system settings!
I guess you could use the tips provided here.
Or try one of the numerous Xposed Modules.
Btw. what did you try? Something like add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to build.prop?
Disable the lock screen I bet it will wrk. Personal experience.
If that works use a custom lock screen.

Did you edit build.prop on your running system or in the rom zip before flashing?

This, it's annoying and poorly implemented.
They removed all the fluid animations from the lockscreen exit, so now it just looks crappy.

works when you double tap to sleep, and the module is for blurred background for notification area and recents apps
