Im currently making an android app that would connect to a database from my other computer... I have searched related topic but I still don't get it...
Can anyone please help me on how to connect my program to my database remotely?
What is the best database to be used for this program? I am currently using phpmyadmin.. on xampp

Hey there,
This is my first thread on xda-developers so please bear over with me if this is to low level for you guys..
For some time now I have been searching for some kind of tool/application running on windows mobile that can sync files (fx. Photos) over the air (3G - HSDPA) fx. to my FTP server.
The only thing I can find is some script, which can be scheduled, but I hope to find an application.
I hope some of you have some ideas..

Basicly what I want to do is to be able to connect to my chessbase Fritz 11 interface on my home pc from my wm device using the internet!
So that I can play and analize games when I am on the go!
So my question is, is there a chess software on the ppc that can connect to Fritz 11?
If not then maybe there can be other solutions for doing this?
I was thinking something like this:
1. Connect Fritz 11 to autoplay on FICS or ICC
2. or Connect Fritz 11 to autoplay on Yahoo
3. Use PocketGrandmaster 4.0.1 to play with fritz on FICS or ICC
4. or another software that can connect to yahoo chess and play with fritz from there!
Now I know how to enable fritz 11 to play on yahoo server, no problems there, but I cant find any software that enables me to connect to yahoo chess from my ppc! Is this doable?
I dont know how to connect fritz 11 to autoplay on FICS or ICC, but I do have the program "pocketgrandmaster" on my ppc that can play there!
So as you can see, I have problems one way or the other! :-(
Please can anyone help me to best solve this, I am desperate!
There must be a solution to this!

I don't know if this is helpful.
You can remotely see your PC and control it from your PPC using t2remotetouch - it does connect over internet too (but I haven't tried this myself, I usually use it over wireless router).
However Sanjay is very helpful and there's a forum here.
There is also some help on connecting to your computer from anywhere here.

Thanks, I tried the program and it works great! Unfortunatly its not reacting fast enough to be a good way to play chess!
But it will for sure be useful for other things!

Hi everyone.
I'm on an HTC Ozone provided by verizon with windows mobile 6.5. I understand that there is supposed to be an internet connection sharing app with my phone, although I can't find anything supporting that. As per recommendation found here, I looked in the windows directory, but no luck. (So I did my homework.)
In the end, I'd like to be able to use my phone and creat an access point, allowing devices to connect and use my data plan.
If anyone knows what free options I have in terms of this, your input is greatly valued

As per your other posrt ...
XDA doesn't exist to help you hack someone else's WhatsApp information. Doing this would be highly illegal and could get XDA and its owners into a lot of trouble, so do yourself a favour and don't ask questions like this again.
I would like some help on how to turn a regular PC that contains a XP Pro into and ANDROID and connect to a Touch SCREEN monitor that is connected via regular serial port.
I have done a bit research, it seems like its possible to install an Android into a regular pc, but How do I get the drivers to work with the Touch SCREEN?
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. I am just trying to reuse some old components for a project I am doing.
The monitor is NEC model LCD1560V Serial 49607632YA.
ANY HELP OR DIRECTION is very much appreciated.
