Hi can i use this method for all android devices?

Hi, I tried to unlock my HTC One S on 4 differents paid websites, but all say "unfortunately your unlock code cannot be calcuted, please double check your IMEI blabla" ). Since yestarday I kept trying these methods with NO SUCCESS.
Terminal emulator and ADB Shell say String not Fount / No IMEI
I try the method with ES file explorer. The bad news is The file "mmcblk0p6" is crypted when i opened as text. but when i open with notepad++ on my laptop THE IMEI in the file "mmcblk0p6" is completely different when I type *#06#
I calculate the NCK code with both IMEI, phone says "incorrect password" I pay for the IMEI i find in the file, the server send me the same NCK with the app in method 2.
All necessary information about IMEI, model, carrier are in the attachment
Please anyone have an idea?

Thanks for your great and very useful work !
I'm actually on Orange FR carrier.
When I insert a sim from another carrier the phone asked me & I wrote the combination.
It said it was now unlocked and when I press "Reboot" the phone freeze instead of rebooting
Any idea ? The CID perhaps ?

I think I have a similar problem.
I have an HTC One S (I think S4 - 1.5Ghz). It is locked to ORange. I unlocked bootloader, rooted and finally managed to get busybox etc installed.
Method 1 and 2 provide the same code-
IMEI: 2547014 (last 7 digits)
Un lock code: 062975078
(sim unlock 61522531)
Method 3 didn't work as I got stuck after loading grep etc via busybox.
When I entered the unlock code I calculated the phone said unlock successful and that a reboot was necessary, but when it rebooted it asked for the unlock code again! I tried a different recovery (was using clockwork, went to twrp but still asked for the code on reboot.
I am scared to re-enter the code as I know I have limited tries - so far I have only entered it the once. I have factory resetted the phone - should I try and enter the code again?
I have now lost the boot screen after the factory reset so I don't think I can check the hboot.
As far as I am aware I did not install a new ROM at any point.

Thankyou thankyou and thankyou :->
We cannot thank you enough for sharing this brief 'tutuorial'. It worked like a charm once we had rooted the phone (which was the tricky part).
In case of it being helpful to anyone else, our device was prepared using:-
- CWM Ville with Touch Recovery ROM image.
- Chainfire SuperSU.
- BusyBox (must use Team Trickster's 'on Rails' initially so as to install from ZIP/SD storage,) followed by an immediate upgrade using the stericson version).
After installing that little lot, the acquisition of the sim unlock code was was a breeze. Thank you again.

Tested on HTC One S (S4)
Locked to Spanish vodafone
Worked like a charm
Had a little trouble installing busybox so installed viper S rom 2 and things went straight
Thank you very much

Cincinatti Bell Wireless
SIM unlock worked great after my crashcourse on rooting, recovery, and the bootloader all last night. But even customer support with HTC and T Mobile told me since it's from Cincinatti Bell Wireless, T Mobiles internet service WILL NOT WORK. :crying:
There's gotta be a work-around. Any way to move a Cincinatti Bell Wireless exclusive phone to T Mobile? There ought to be considering their wireless service is ending in a month. That carrier wasn't even in my area.

asking for unlock sim for different android phone
sir good day this method of unlocking sim is this compatible with other types of android phone? i am trying to use this method but the terminal emulator doesn't appears any of the following as what i can see on the method how can use this method for my phone? any suggestion about my concern more power thanks...... my phone model huawei G526 lte phone....

worked perfectly
thanks so much guyz, i chose method one

Tried all methods, outputting wrong IMEI
Hi guys, I've tried all the methods and I'm ending up at the same unlock code which doesn't work. I noticed the stated IMEI in the bash script is different to my actual IMEI, and so I guess the Un_Lock Code is wrong as well. I've checked the mmcblk0 files using a hex editor and the correct IMEI is in there. Does anyone have any ideas?
I am unlocked, S-off, SuperCID, clockwork Mod recovery, busybox installed, running the Stock ROM from factory reset.
Thanks

hi,
so i can't get unlock code with this command
su [enter]
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6 [enter]
but it work well with this one
1. Note IMEI *#06#
2. adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/sdcard/mmcp6.dump
3. Open mmcp6.dump on SDCARD
4. Look for in this file your IMEI
5. Just in front of your IMEI a 8-digit code which corresponds to the unlock code
may help some one
with regards

I cannot for the life of my get root access to this phone, its a refurb shipped to me as a warranty replacement, so its basically new, with all the OTA updates already applied, I have tried all the links to root, like the One Clicks etc, even tried the One_X_ATT_All-In-One_Kit_v1.1, when I try to do it manually, I used ADB Shell, and it connects ok, I can see files etc on the system partition, but when I type SU, it says file not found, when I copied SU files to the SD card and tried to run it from there, it says permission denied. This phone seems to be locked right down!

unlock your bootloader through HTC-Dev (all other models)
flash twrp
flash superuser from recovery downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
None of the AT&T root solutions apply to you, or any other carrier version of the One X/XL except AT&T. For the AT&T version, we need to have root in order to spoof the CID and get bootloader unlock via HTCDev.com. This is because AT&T is blocking HTC for allowing the bootloader to be unlocked (and the only carrier to do so).
You can skip all that and just unlock the bootloader via HTCDev.com (as mentioned in the reply above). Then install custom recovery (TWRP) and flash SU to achieve root. Or alternately, flash a rooted ROM.

So what you are saying is that I do not have to change my CID or root before unlocking boot loader?
I got my identifier token and am going to submit it... I just saw another response, looks like I have it easy and was looking way too hard... the first time I rooted my phone I DID have to spoof my CID etc, thus the confusion...
Thanks guys!

[Q] rooting huawei u8652 2.3.6 ?

Hi all!
New to phone hacking but not to computers. So I know enough to be dangerous. I want to root this phone and eventually want to do a custom ROM for it. My question is anyone succeeded in rooting this phone with 2.3.6? Here is what I have tried so far and have had no luck. I have spent three days on this before asking this question. So due diligence has been done.
I have installed the drivers / abt bundle enabled platform tools / pda net+ / fastboot
Unlock root = Does not get shell permission
Superone Click Tried many versions = many failed attempts and yes I entered the codes and enabled the log events and set to verbose.
Unlock root.com paid thirty dollars to get the same stuff that I tried. = scam
gingerbread exploit = does not support 2.3.6
universal androot = does not support 2.3.6
Emailed Huawei tech support for bootloader unlock code =
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Huawei device.
Sorry about we haven’t released the Bootloader unlock code for U8652 now.
Once again thank you for contacting Huawei device.
Best Regards.
Huawei Device Customer Care Team.
It seems to me that with 2.3.6 on this phone I can't get to it. This may not be the case but have read that some people have downgraded to 2.1 and have got it to work. One thing I feel I'm pretty sure about that the bootloader has to be unlocked to do anything with this phone. I've tried fastboot and try and run it from windows it opens and it closes instantly. I try to run it from a command prompt and comes back with path not found.
Any ideas? Thanks BK

I have spent many days and night searching for how to root.
I got the Huawei Y210-151 and I have figured out how to root this scraps Telus phone.
First you have to download Y210 Recovery Installer.exe and Y210 root from google search. copy Y210 to SD card
Then you start theY210 Recovery Installer program then it you power up hold power+UP up to 10 seconds.
click on Y210 button you wait it will said ok ok ok.
Then you turn off the phone and back on again it will boot into recovery mode
then you select signature verification to disable
then you install zip file from sdcard, select Y210 root.zip
reboot the phone then download Root checker from google play.
Good Luck!
Now I am looking for for steps how to extract UN_Lock code.
to unlock SIM network.
I rooted my u8652 with cyanogenmod 7.2, it's running v2.3.7 right now, best it can get. I don't think anyone's doing any further development on this old phone. Hate to point you off xda, but this is the only place I found info on doing it:
http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-a...nstall-cyanogenmod-7-2-huawei-fusion-2-a.html
Even after rooting and getting rid of bloatware, the phone is still old dog slow, and even stuffed with a 16g SD card and shoving apps galore onto it, it's still crippled by the low internal ram, so you won't be able to install many apps on it.

Moto G root solution

Hi all!
I have created a Moto G root solution - well, 2 actually. The first is a 'superboot' and I also have an alternate modified recovery method in case that doesn't work.
The downloads are stickied here - http://www.modaco.com/forum/751-motorola-moto-g/
The approach i've used for the alternate method should also let us do a custom (CWM / TWRP) recovery.
Cheers,
P
i have already linked both on the FAQ, directly to your original MoDaCo threads, so that most people could access them
[SIZE=+1]Q8: How to Root my device ?[/SIZE]Until now,you first need to unkock your bootloader,
Option 1 : then follow this guide [original thread - on MoDaCo]
Option 2 : via a customized recovery [original thread, on MoDaCo]

After you get root, please read Q19
one question though, is the second method to be used only if the first one failed or both are "equivalent" in terms of efficiency and risk taken ? If the second method works for everybody, then it should be the one preferred
edit : this thread should be stickied here too
Many thanks for this. Will there ever be an unlock for the boot loader that doesn't void our warranty?

Tried method A with Linux and Windows, didn't work. The second method worked like a charm as soon as I understood how to navigate the bootloader (note to me: read instructions on screen).
Good work.
recovery method works perfectly with my telcel Moto G, since the superboot method doesn't work.
I did it yesterday. The superboot.img worked good after the second time. The recovery didn't... My moto comes from German amazon.

I rooted my device with the first method - worked.
Now i was finally able to install Xposed to get rid of the carrier label and block Ads with Adaway
Thanks!
Successfully unlocked and rooted my Tesco 16GB using Paul's method 2 recovery type.
German retail version, Linux
Method 1: no go (3 attempts)
Method 2: success
GB retail, worked fine on first attempt using superboot Win7 32bits
Root
Recovery sideload method worked for me when superboot did not.
Had my Moto-G a couple of weeks now and its rooted with dpi set to 240 global and Xposed framework installed with app setting module so i can set other individual apps to other more usable dpi scale.
all in all this is a great device and priced in such a way that its an easy device to try any mod or attempt any hack without worrying too much
Cheers for the tools again Paul.
all we need now is a fully working recovery where we dont have to select the line above to perform the action we want, twrp would be super cool !
==PEACE==
Root with superboot r2, moto g dual sim Brazilian. Works fine.
Thanks
Both are failing for me. Says everything copies right but on boot up nothing. Also cant sideload the SU app.
--Edit--
I was able to get root by using TWRP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561757 and then flashing the SU app from the first method.
Rebooted opened the SU app and it asked to updated using TWPR
Phone flashed the updated files in TWRP
Rebooted phone with root access!
Tried solution 1 (no custom recovery) with Windows 7
no problems at all
Thanks
****** UPDATE ******
rooted a second Moto G - solution 1 (no custom recovery) - also working like a charm!
thanks for the Guide!
Moto G - German Version
So is there any method to unlock the bootloader without going through Motorola? Then you could unlock the bootloader but relock it if you need to send in your device for warranty service. Otherwise, they'll have your ID on file requesting an unlock code, and I assume would refuse any warranty service (wonder how strict they are about this?).

Unless someone cracks the protection that the ID provides (which may not even be possible if it is in hardware), no. By law in most countries in Europe the voiding your warranty part is a bit tricky, for obvious hardware failures, they would still have to support you in any case. In the US, you are, as usual, screwed..
If you only want to root, MAYBE someone can come up with a privilege escalation exploit that would do that job. Would be easier than trying to crack the bootloader protection, I'd imagine.
Hello there.
Hi, I fixed the problem was that I used the google back up of my previous phone with the motorola migration, I had to delete everything with the recovery mod and then it worked.
I got this problem what should I do. Thank you
Then I tried the other method and comes up device no found
Try running it as administrator

SIM unlock help - tried methods in forum

I would post in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1693491, but I just joined the forum
Through this forum I rooted my phone, softbricked and recovered it, all through reading and researching; never had to make a post. Now I'm trying to SIM-unlock my phone, and have run out of ways to approach the problem.
I'm running dark jelly S edition, version 31, and I've been entirely happy with it.
I've tried the manual, semi-automatic, and automatic methods described in the thread I linked, with the following results:
Manual / semi-auto:
IMEI last 7 digits: 0918025
UN_lock_code: 046113285
Resultant sim unlock code: 43542367 (doesn't work)
Automatic method: runs normally, but after UN_lock_code, says:
length: applet not found (x2)
/system/unlock.sh[59] 046113285 - 02570918: bad number "046113285"
Subtracting this by hand gets me the same result as above.
Can anyone advise me as to how to unlock my phone? I'm overseas for a couple weeks; and still paying / using t-mobile for my stateside service, but have no intention of paying their up-you-ass international rates when a local sim card / plan costs $5 tops. I've purchased said sim card, and get prompted for the code, but haven't been able to unlock it.

Thanks for the reply and effort, but that's a little extreme as a solution for me; contacted t-mobile and they've actually submitted a sim-unlock request for me (should've tried that first, i know)

HTC butterfly J (htl21) can't unlock sim by unlock code

I tried to unlock my sim by unlock code but when I insert any sim card the unlock screen won't occur.
Has someone successfully unlocked his phone by unlock code?
The HTL21 requires a different method to unlock, and it involves changing the radio firmware. Directions are here in Japanese. Make a backup with a custom recovery, follow the shell commands and you'll need a binary editor to directly change the baseband firmware. There's another method that doesn't involve you directly touching it, but from my experience once you unlock that way you're going to be stuck using the custom firmware they provide afterward- stock ROMs (at least the ones provided here) break the WiFi for some reason.
Wow
