It's an experimental build triggered by me.
There is one more coming in few hours, I need you all to test that new one and check if the recently introduced 'No signal' problem is fixed.

It's working for me. Poland, both 3g and 2g.

I understand that you had been busy with android One devices and recently Xiaomi Mi3 device. I am not sure congrats be enough for I believe that it needs more recognition !
I checked them all out and that's greatest work but sadly couldn't test it due to unavailability of Android One in Europe.
I understand how much effort and work is required and one single mistake in code can increase errors by many folds. I know it's already a tough job to code and with all the nagging and hate you got for some xperia L users must be very disheartening.
Even if you discarded Xperia L out of further development, I wouldn't have blamed you for all many greedy users did to you.
With all that going on, it's very good to see your support and love for the Xperia L once again which obviously has kept me & many others away from the thought of selling it away.
I hope you continue to work for Android projects as a whole and wish you every luck to make all your work to further success.
P.S: Xperia L Users
Never ask for ETA or when any bug would be fixed and whine like a bit**. He got a life and he does everything for free. You do owe him for using his works but he doesn't owe you at all even if you make a donation.
He gives you time from a lot of his hobbies, family, friends and I'm sure a lot more to bring you his ROMs. He is as human as you , maybe more if you can't see that he has cutting his time from his life and giving it to you to make some Roms and kernel for you.
Instead of being thankful and grateful, don't be a **** to trouble him.
He deserves every support and thank for his each work and you shouldn't take that away from him.
I hope this comes to you as some insight how hard it is to be in his shoes and you should respect that regardless of if he decides to quit development for Xperia L or any device.

@varun.chitre15, Thank you very much for your hard work on our Taoshan.
Long life to the development Taoshan. !!

Dirty flashed cm-11-20141028-EXPERIMENTAL-RIL-taoshan over FXP341, also flashed Thunderzap. Data connection works correctly (E, 3G and H+ tested).

I tested EXPERIMENTAL-RIL, and everything works perfectly for me

Meanwhile, is there any updates to hwcomposer? those graphical bugs are annoying

any nightly updates ?

I am using the nightly for three months now and I am satisfied.... The experimental is going to be nightly soon? or stable perhaps?

So, does (or will) the camera app in CM10 have the same burst mode that the Sense camera has? Can you take AS MANY photos AS QUICKLY? Will those photos be similar quality? Will we be able to pull stills from previously recorded video? Or take Hi Res stills while shooting HD video?
I read the last 15 pages of the development thread and didn't see any of this being discussed.
Thanks a bunch!
Billy

Burst mode is a sense cam feature only, because there is no sense in cm those features will not be there. Your best bet is if you want sense cam but asop feel go with clean rom or tn rom, they can desense the launcher but keep the apps but you will be on ics. But i will say the cm cam is alot faster then it used to be and is still a good camera.
**PLEASE READ IN REGARDS TO CAMERA ISSUES WITH CM10**
The rapid fire camera mode is named Zero Shutter Lag or ZSL and there are plans to implement this in the near future. You will also soon be able to take still pictures while recording video. H8 & the CM10 team are working on getting every feature of the camera to 100% and they say they are nearly there.
However, as of right now the camera, video camera, & panorama mode is still relatively broken. The camera's bare bones features are working but only in the build's that are labeled as EXPERIMENTAL. The regular CM10 nightlies do not contain the WORKAROUND that H8 has come up with because this workaround has not been merged with the offical CM10 nightlies that the One XL is now getting.
Word on the street is the camera will be 100% working very, very soon so please be patient.
If you use and rely on the camera on a daily basis...please only flash the EXPERIMENTAL builds until further notice!!!

by audio fixes do you mean caller volume? Im on the 8/22 build. I heard the 8/19 has good caller voice but it kills my battery.
Any idea how we can get native emoji working? It gives the option to download the add on in keyboards settings. Installs. Then refreshes and shows ready to download again. Also, any plans for Google wallet? This ROM is amazing and ridiculously fast!! Thanks for your hard work and help!!

Definetly hit or miss. Heard it was fixed in the 8/28 but no music so I guess I'll stay on 8/22 and deal with it. Heard someone say they flashed AOKP ICS rom and reflashed CM10 and it was fixed.

I have a couple of general questions.
1. Will the official release of HTC JB drastically and rapidly improve the project? Will lots of things need to be redone/reoptimized? Or it's simply some missing links being filled? What kind of time frame can we expect for a fully working CM10 (equal or close to the quality of CM on the other officially supported devices) following the HTC JB release?
2. Exactly how was the team able to develop this rom so far without official support? And how much farther can this realistically go if we do not get the official JB in the near future (hopefully this doesn't happen). From what I read, I'm under the impression that this rom is already in a much better shape compared to the development phase CM builds on many other non-officially supported devices (for example ICS/JB builds on older devices that received EOL after GB). Is the kernel of the phone somewhat "easier" to crack compared to those devices or is that we have some super talented developers behind this project? And the developer seems confident that even without official HTC JB, this rom can pretty much become a *fully working* one?
Thanks for the awsome work!
Is wake locks an issue with cm10 so far or just a few users isolated type instance? I was getting massive wake lock for alarmmanager that I do not get on CleanRom.
anyone else getting bad battery life with this ROM? currently running the 8/29 nightly.
Right now im at 33% battery with 11h on the battery but only 1h45min screen time. I also have GPS on and brightness around 1/2..which could possibly be the problem.

1. Nope, didn't help us at all. Didnt need it. As far as I'm concerned, after tonight's nightly (technically...tomorrow morning's nightly) everything is pretty much 100%. a few bugs here or there...but I think the Nexus devices are the only ones ahead of us regarding "working" status.
2. We're magical. *snicker* just kidding. We've pretty much completely beat HTC to Jellybean with CM10. The great part of the kernel work intervigil has provided is that we use the same kernel for ICS and JB. Meaning we can backport all JB stuff to ICS with minimal differences. We are very confident that this will be a fully working one. The last piece we needed was the Camera HAL which we *just* received.
Thank you for the thanks! Enjoy!

That sir, is very impressive. "Beating HTC to jellybean" sounds so satisfying in an ambitious way, and completely changes the way these games used to be played. Hats off to all the "magicians" who made this happen!
One more question: what about LTE? I'm currently on the 4.0.4 based CleanRom 4.5, which is my first custom rom flashed on the phone (only bought it a week ago). Do I have to flash back to a 4.0.3 based ROM (which I have trouble finding) before flashing to CM 10? If the answer is still yes, is a solution being worked out to troubleshoot and solve the problem?

I'm not entirely sure if something is being worked on but I think you should flash CR4.0 as it is definitely working and is 4.0.3 base which is what h8rift said to flash.

May I ask what is the right procedure to flash CM10? In the zip there is a boot.img. Do we need to manually extract and flash it with fastboot?
I ask this because some people (including me) can't make LTE to work in CM9/10. Some say by flashing CleanROM 4.0, full reset then flash CM10, LTE will be the default. This trick does not work for me. What is the mechanism of this trick? What stays after full reset? All I can think is the boot image. But even manually flashing CleanROM's boot.img then flash CM10 does not work for me. Changing build.prop (ro.ril.def.preferred.network and ro.telephony.default_network as suggested at code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=1623 , sorry can't link external) of course does not work either.
I know #*#*info*#*# can change the preferred network type, but it does not stick after reboot, which renders this approach useless.
Thanks.

[Q] sing this for a final patch for popdog's slimbean 4.1

Hello Popdog123... i made this this thread to make you respectfully a request.
All of us respect your decision to stop developing slimbean. But this rom is just extremely fast and the thing that we complain about is the video recording bug. All of us understand that the fix for that bug appears after you stop the support to this great and awesome rom, but i (we) believe that the rom can achieve this fix to be almost perfect.
My (our) request is (as i (we) said) respectfully request you a fix for the video bug. And of curse, we respect your decision about this...
thanks popdog123. you are the best...

For me personally video recording never was a issue on this ROM
my problem was the horrendous lag which was fixed by DJ NOx D's kernel 3.08 beta 1
Beta 2 was similar to the stock kernel ( in terms of speed not bugs)

Thank you all for the interest you show in the development of this rom. However, my decision stands due to a number of reasons: I do not have the time to develop this rom because of other things I'm working on both for myself and for school and the fact that I don't even have the money to support the build server anymore. There are great developers on this forum that push the boundaries of our tiny devices and their work is magnificent and I suggest you follow them if you are not satisfied with SlimBean.
In other news I did not get much time to work on cerebrum but I can give out a bit of information that will make a lot of people unhappy . The next generation Cerebrum will be based on Gingerbread.

People having curiosity of what's going on, here's some insight
- I have found a permanent fix for storage as well finally which has yet to tested but 90% sure it will work.
- Things are completely ready to go official. Fixing vibrator is a minor thing and can be done in no time. Audio/Video issues have been found out and with the stock audio HAL everything works.
- Down side is the XDA build server is still under maintenance and I am just sitting idle for last one week with no significant progress i.e the day since I fixed gps
Apparently, it is going to take a lots of time maybe another month to get this server as the HDD has faced a major crash
- Upside is I will be getting access to FXP servers, a big thanks to @FXP for the HDD he is purchasing for that and for the support he has been providing me to get things up to the mark to go official. Everyone knows about the great achievements of his and team members work with FreeXperiaproject which supports about 98% Sony devices. But as you know HDD being expensive its going to take some time, most probably a week or two or maybe more, it depends . I request you to donate how much you possibly can do to Paypal of @FXP
If things go well as planned we will see official support by FXP with FXP 318 that is after 2 weeks.
Technically it's possible to get all things done in less than a 5-6 days and have everything done by FXP 317. For everyone's information, there is a FXP release every Monday. FXP 316 will happen on upcoming Monday.
Official support from CM will take just a short time after FXP's official support and is a fluent process.
But the current barrier is clear and has no workaround

Cm 12.1 unofficial moto x play lux

I was looking for the official firmware and found an unofficial cm build. I don't know who the developer is, if it's working, something's broken, etc.
Just wanted to let everyone know. If the developer stumbles upon this and don't want it to be posted here, just let me know and I will remove it.
Download: check thread
This is a build from @vache . given the date, I'd assume this is a build that doesn't have nfc and the wonky display.

Yeah, that would be an unstable and broken early test build (not intended for public consumption). We'll have something more usable ready for you all to try soon.
Sneak Preview
For the impatient, here is a more usable preview build:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/hc19wc76a7y8374/cm-12.1-20150916-UNOFFICIAL-lux.zip
There's still a lot of work to be done, but at least the core functionality should work in this build (booting, WiFi, NFC, camera, GPS, audio, etc.). I'm not looking for bug reports at this point. Don't be surprised if you find something that doesn't work. One known issue is that AudioFX is broken right now.
But if you like living on the edge and want to try something new, you can flash it if you like. Use my TWRP build (originally mentioned in my kernel thread) to flash this ROM. The TWRP currently on vache's thread will have issues, so you must use mine.

It works well enough. Loving the LED settings. No it's not multicolored, before people ask, but you can set different lengths and durations. Battery didn't seem as good, and felt a little more choppy at times, but this is why I'm assuming they didn't release lol. Not complaining. Just super excited to see some development.

Is there any way you can enable dual sim in these ROMs straight out the gate? I don't have a second Sim to test at the moment, but that would be awesome.

Technically true. If you look inside the sim slot, you'll see the pins are there for dual sim. On the ejector tray, the second sim slot is covered by a dummy piece of plastic. There are also reports of people flashing a dual sim ROM and it working.
@vache I'm testing the SOKP right now WiFi works but camera and layers doesn't ,on RR WiFi doesn't
Edit:the device is flying zero lags overheating issues
What does layers mean? And the last line zero lags is good. But do you mean there are overheating issues? Or no overheating issues?

It's actually a stock Android theme engine. If I remember correctly, it was introduced by Sony into aosp, and it's baked into factory ROMs like on the n9. The layers app just makes things easier to manage it all, because the average Joe has no knowledge that it even exists.

Where do you've found the sokp build?

Team superluminal's CM12.1

Have anyone tried their rom?
http://www.teamsuperluminal.org/mi4c-cyanogenmod-12-1/
How does it compare to cm12.1 from xda thread?
Is cm12.1 from xda thread stable for daily driver?

Haven't tried SuperLuminal's version yet, but the CM12.1 version you find here on XDA is working fine. There are a few bugs, but nothing a reboot can't handle...
Just keep in mind, that both are unofficial builds of CM12.1, as the CM Team haven't made an official version (yet - or perhaps it might never happend)
But give the SuperLuminal's version a shot - and tell us about your experience.

Thanks for response. Is cm12.1 smoother than miui? I find mi4c with miui less responsive than my old oneplus one with cm13. It's quite disappointing that my new mi4c is more laggy than 2years old OPO. Will that unofficial cm12.1 fix it a little? Or just snapdragon 808 is way slower than old 801?

Coming from OnePlus One as well, but with CM 12s, for that little time I spend using stock MIUI, I did not notice any lack or the phone being slower than the OPO. Actually MIUI ran pretty damn fast on the MI 4c - but the reason I moved away from the official, was because Kaspersky found malware on the ****ing phone. So maybe you should check you phone for malware or any unwanted apps. Depending on where you got the phone, it might have been tampered with.
Maybe, you should try to disable/freeze any apps you do not like first and see if that helps.
Anyway, if it's a faulty model you've received, you might want to return it...
Well this cm 12.1 has the nav bar working with capacitive keys disabled while the other one has it still enabled. I'm sure it will be fixed.
Jonas you probably had a reseller modified rom flashed. The EU rom doesn't have any malware.
Hi guys. I use TS rom for a few days. It is very smooth, likewise the Xiobai rom. Everything is working, except...edge double tap. Of course, you can enable it, but then ehile typing on any keyboard (aosp, google), it causes random backs. This feature is super while surfing on internet, but in real life it is too hmm anoying. I don't even touch edges and keyboard hides. When disable- not. It is my only complain. Battery and smoothness are very good. At night with lte enabled takes 1-2%. Best regards from Poland.

Xiaomi Service Framework Mod not work for me
I'm testing SuperLuminal CM 12.1 port from yesterday. It works pretty well so far; edge double tap is OK and didn't cause any unexpected behaviour in my usage.
There is no issue of DT2W not working after booting from recovery (that issue is present on Xiaobai's port, you have to reboot once from the ROM to have DT2W back).
Other than that the two ROMs are pretty much the same to me; Xiaobai's one might feel a little bit smoother in my opinion, but really a tiny bit.
I'm trying to get rid of any stuttering playing with entropy settings in Kernel Adiutor, will report back if I'll find anything useful.

Just wanted to say that I experienced the same thing. I had a Nexus 4 with Minimal OS (Android 6.0) and it was sadly faster than the Mi4C.
I'm not saying that the Mi4C is slow. It is fast. But i was expecting something more. Expecially while typing (as write here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/help/expected-t3274918) i can feel the difference.
The Mi4C also have some micro-lag during transition that take away some joy on the daily use..
I'm probably going to try one of theese CM12.1 and see if i can get the same responsiveness i had with the N4
New rom is out now in Team Superluminal site.
Enjoy!

Yes, I know - I tried contacting Coolicool whom I bought it from - but they are just being like what these type of Chinese stores usually are - ignorant towards complains.
I am considering making the switch back to MIUI7 - but I'm not too keen on going back to a KK rom..

Interesting news, thanks for the good work!
I'll wait for some user feedback before testing, because I just clean-installed your CM port today and will change only if the ROM is almost stable.

Well, so far battery looks very close to the other CM port. I'm performing a lot of tests with Kernel Adiutor so cannot consider this an average day, but the battery definitely doesn't show any issue.

It is pretty stable. I'll been using TS PAC-rom 5.1.1 now for few days and I haven't noticed anything. But like our news says, IT IS UNDER TESTING for now. So if you like to try, take a backup of your current rom. And if you don't like it, you can revert back where you was.
There is lots of options/features from great roms. Like the PACman roms slogan goes "ALL IN ONE"
Does it have nav bar option?
Piston Headset problem under CM
I1m using the Mokee 5.1.1 Rom and its really great, I only have one big problem with it: My 3-button Piston2 headset doesn't work properly, only the play/pause button responds as it should, the volume rockers only open the dialer. It worked perfectly under Miui, but I love these custom roms much more!
Is it possible, to find a solution for this problem?! I'd love to try your rom, especially if there's any chance it will work!

Thanks for the answer, mate!
You know what? I'll give it a go, because I'm on vacation and it is the right moment to play around with this juicy stuff.
Will get back with some feedback soon.
