From what i see in the INET yes, the latest APP in the play store dont look any think like he BETA from the video's in youtube,
i wonder just how can we get to try it,
they have couple more new features and new effects in swyping,
and the " spaces menu " can be edited.
I REALLY WANT TO GET IT

It sounds good. The only reason I dont use it is because of the lack of transparent NavBar and Status Bar. It makes my screen feel smaller.

I know that.. Its just a build.prop mod xD it looks great at 420 on Android Lollipop. I just sent the developers a email to request an invite. I'll let you know if I get one then you can email them too. or you can go ahead and email them.

I watched a youtube video and a bunch of people were saying they contacted the developers and they sent an invite, so I googled Aviate Developers and it popped up on one of the links, and alright thank you very much.
Can someone direct me to said video? I haven't seen anything about a new aviate beta...
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
If you were in the original group (before Yahoo bought the app) and had an invite none is needed to update to the "new" beta (kinda old news) a new update was pushed last night

i saw a thread in the "regular hero" forums saying something about setting up a wave group that talks about stuff related to the development aspect of things going on with our phone and thought that it sounded like an awesome idea (considering i watched a 1.5 hour video on goole wave and it looks like its gonna be the balls. and i just managed to get an invite) like i said, thought it would be a neat idea. just post your wave address

That doesn't sound like a bad idea, I don't know much about wave yet, but I'll glady accept an invite to check it out.

I got it this morning, but just got home. never received the email notification though, weird. Anyway, invite sent.
Cool. Thanks. Still odd that it doesn't appear in my outbox/sent items though.
I need to sit down and watch that google wave video so I can have half a clue how to best utilize it....
added to my todo list.
So, I am working on a new Android app and I would love some input on it.
The basic idea is that you can easily "chat" with other random users. I find this very hard to explain without showing so I will just run through the process here. You launch the app then you can write something in a text box and "shout it". The message gets uploaded and then you download a message that someone else has shouted out. You can then either download another message or reply to the message you have, effectively initiating a conversation with that person.
All comments and feedback appreciated, preferably on the Connect-UTB forums but I will check here as well
UPDATE: The app is now out on the Market.. feel free to give it a go!
Interesting
Glad you think so! It will be on the Market soon enough I think, depending on what feedback I get from this limited beta test.
Add different colors for each user and make it like a live update not to press the Grab new shout then it updates Other then that the UI is Good.
Thanks for the ideas. I will make it grab a new shout when you post one (i think, maybe make it a setting).
Not sure what you're thinking when it comes to the colours though? Give each user a unique colour? As in their name? Something like:
Reply from Bob: Hey darling
Reply from Alice: Hey handsome

Yes exactly like that
So this is kind of like a chatroulette/omeggle kinda idea, is that right?
Interesting
Alright, I will give it some though.
I am not sure how to implement the live updates though. Been thinking about it for a while and havent decided on the best way to do this yet, so any suggestions would be welcome!

You could ask some twitter developers because they have the auto updating feature.
sorry i cant personally help im just learning java.
Yeah I agree, maybe there's an open source twitter app?
Re: [BETA][UNDER DEVELOPMENT]uShout
Its not the coding that is the problem, its just figuring out how I want it to be.
Also I'm figuring out how I shouts should be grabbed. Now it just grabs the newest (if you don't have any replies) so if lots of shouts are being posted then most of them might never be read. However I don't want users to get the same shout twice so I have some thinking to do.
Thanks for testing it though. I think it can be a fun app once it gets published on the market

1. Maybe add an option to make the random user a favourite or friend?
2. Also add an icon/picture to your name?
3. An option to add a picture to your post? i.e. "look what I saw today!" - picture.jpg

Would be neat for proximity shout and preference like only want to receive from a female/certain age/or only pictures if not already implemented.
Hmm, interesting. I have been wanting to keep images and pictures of it due to the nastyness that tends to show up. However, a male/female setting would be nice.
Beta is out, if its ok I will post.
Got my invite as well. So far looking good. Nice GUI plus response. I find it WAY faster than Trillian Beta, although some Skype and Video exchange might be good for next release
The end of the email reads:
"Also, please understand that the build is only for folks who have registered with us for the beta program and is not intended to be shared with any one. "
So now I ask you. Do you think its ok to post it?

That's cute, but why should someone have to Google something that someone's advertising. Obviously if you announce that something out its to garner interest, no? With that being the case, ways the harm in typing even a one sentence description? Seems pretty common sense.
And I just realized that the last two responses before that post could've been a simple description as well, but acting like someone doesn't know what Google is in an Android forum seems to take priority over posting something useful.
Anyways for anyone who doesn't know, it's a messenging client for multiple services. I love things like trillian on my pc so ill be waiting for this one
I'm on it now, it rules. I just pray that it doesn't become a permanent beta like the wm version

I'm using it now. This destroys Trillian. Does anyone know if it uses Froyo's built-in push notifications API, C2DM ? I'm concerned about battery life.
Androidica has an active link to the download for what its worth.
In case it's not supposed to be distributed, check out this link because it has a cool video of it and not for the download link...

this is a pretty popular app, thats why I didnt bother getting into detail, and Trillian has been out for beta use for the public, not a fan , and im sure you will say that when you use it.

Dear Android user, We have been working on a new version of our Android app for a while and we're getting close to launch. We have done some changes to the user interface to improve the user experience, and we have tried to improve the overall speed and performance.
Before we officially launch the app we are inviting some Zedgers to try it out. We hope that you take your time to install it on your Android device and check it out. This will give us valuable information that we can use to eliminate bugs and errors.
To install the app, go to this address in your Android browser http://zedge.net/apk/ zedge.apk
We would also appreciate if you sent us an email with feedback [email protected]
Hope you like it. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Regards, The Zedge Android Team

Hello fellow XDA community. So I just done wrapping up my first ever app on android. It's called peek now, it's a pretty minimalistic android lockscreen replacement yet it has quite some features that the stock android lockscreen doesn't offer. Thus now I'm asking for you guys' help and please just try out my app and let me know what you think, so I can deliver a better app and experience to the future users. Many thanks!!

for some reason I can't install it.
It stops at 100% doing nothing else.
would you be able to provide me with an apk? i could try to install with that

*EDIT*
nevermind, had some issues with play store, installed without a problem after a reboot

I wasn't able to go through the tutorial because i wasn't able to press the "got it" button but it's very intuitive.
